Daniel Macmillan was a heavyset man in his fifties—the kind of guy who'd earned himself a reputation around the office as a handsy creep, always finding excuses to corner female employees under the guise of "work discussions."
I barely had time to yank up my pants before his meaty fingers clamped around my wrist. His grin made my skin crawl. "Victoria," he purred, "word is your husband's out of town. Never pegged you as the type to get off in the supply closet. If you're ever... lonely, my door's always open."
"I wasn't—" The denial died in my throat. Daniel was my boss. My face burned as I forced out, "Mr. Macmillan, you've got the wrong idea..."
My voice shook. Five years of grinding to make supervisor could evaporate overnight if he started spreading rumors about what he'd walked in on. Losing my job would be the least of it—the shame would follow me forever.
He stepped closer, breathing stale coffee and entitlement. "See, here's the thing, Victoria. Whether today's little incident stays between us... well, that's up to you."
His mouth crashed against mine before I could react, tongue shoving past my lips like he owned them. I gagged—
Knock knock.
I barely scrambled behind the curtains before the door swung open.
Sophia Blanchet from HR slinked in, her voice syrup-sweet. "Oh, Daniel! Thought someone else was in here. Speaking of which—you bolted so fast last night, you forgot your condom. Had to spin quite the story for my husband."
Daniel's eyes flicked toward my hiding spot before smirking. "Sophia, that limp-dick husband of yours clearly isn't cutting it. Good thing I'm always... available. You weren't complaining last night."
He yanked her close, fly already down. Sophia dropped to her knees like it was routine, taking him deep with a wet, obscene noise.
Daniel fisted her hair, driving himself deeper, then locked eyes with me—grinning like this was some twisted show for my benefit.
Two seconds later, he had her bent over the desk, skirt hiked up. No buildup—just one brutal thrust as he buried himself to the hilt.
The room filled with moans and the sharp slap of skin on skin. The sounds were filthy, echoing off the walls.
Heat pooled low in my belly despite myself. I squeezed my thighs together, eyes shut tight—
Then the door exploded inward.
Sophia's husband stood there, face purple with rage. "So this is why you've been acting shady! Your coworkers said you'd been in here forever—god damn it, you cheating slut—"
He snatched the fruit knife off the desk and charged.
