Young love, it's like a seed seeing the world for the first time. The curious eyes look around with fascination, each and everything seeming so new and special. But the enjoyment is only for sometime, before it has to face the high winds, the scorching sun, the freezing temperature and the droughty days all by itself.
Young love is something similar to that. So sweet and dream like in the beginning, but as the time pass by you start to understand it's not that easy. There are many hardships one has to face to keep the bond strong.
Just like a strong wind is enough to kill a germinating seedling, same can happen to a young love.
And something similar happened to Jimin too, a strong sudden wind that turned his life all over, leaving him with nothing but a yearning heart.
Just as he stepped one foot out of the plane, the cold winter breeze striked him across his warm flushed cheeks. It felt as if it was the nature's way to welcome him back home. He surely smiled a little to himself at the feeling.
Making his way to the terminal he couldn't help but notice the big banner with his name written on it, along with some random drawings.
Even though the board was perfectly visible from far away, the people holding it thought that it might just not be enough so, they started waving their hands frantically and screaming his name, so it would be easier to notice them.
Jimin felt his face heat in embarrassment, he tried to run fast towards them to stop them from screaming his name and attracting all the attention to him. He surely felt like he was a kpop idol being welcomed by his fans.
Even though the welcome was a bit embarrassing it still warmed him up from inside.
" Young master Jimin!" One of the person, his black hairs almost dusted with a whitish layer and dressed in a neat grey suit that looked like a uniform, said with tears brimming in his eyes. He didn't waste his time to wrap Jimin in the tight hold of his arms.
" You're finally back." He managed to say through his tears, the wrinkles on his face even more visible as he cried his heart out.
Jimin dropped his hold from his luggage and hugged the person back, fighting through his own tears.
" Yes, samchun. I'm back." Jimin giggled lightly, making the servant cry even more. It has been years since he heard Jimin laugh like that in front of his eyes.
" Samchun, I think we should do the reunion at home. People are staring. " Jimin looks around with an awkward smile to see the people staring at their direction.
The servant unlatched himself from Jimin like a lost puppy, quickly wiping his tears away.
" Sorry, young master. I just got carried away."
He straightened his posture and changed his facial expressions, glaring at the other persons standing there, who were doing nothing but just looking at him with sarcastic smiles.
" What are you staring at? Take master's luggage to the car." He orders them, being the their head, both age wise and experience wise. The others quickly hid their smiles and took all the luggage from Jimin's hand.
" You've grown up so much, young master." The servant said, almost on the verge of crying again. He want to hold Jimin and cry to his heart's content. But he have to act professional and keep his emotional side inside of him.
" You're such a cry baby, samchun." Jimin teases him, engulfing his uncle in a side hug as they make their way out of the airport. He always had a special bond with the servant since childhood. He spent more time with them at home, since his father was busy working. He's like a real family member to him.
Once he stepped out and looked at the clear sky of Seoul, he let out a loud sigh. He's back again to the place that hold both good and bad memories for him. He have a love hate relationship with this place.
" Master, the car is ready. " The servant informs, and then went ahead to open the door for him.
" I can do it myself, samchun. "
" You're back again after so many years let me spoil you."
Jimin replied with a cute smile. He yearned for all this love so much in the US.
He looked outside the car window, Seoul has really changed a lot in the past few years. It isn't the same as it used to be. He vaguely remembers some places that holds a special place in his heart, but isn't sure if they'd be still be the same or not.
The clouds of his thoughts wandered again to the same place where Jimin didn't want them to go. And it stopped on a particular alpha with deep brown eyes and strong woody scent.
Before he could go any far away in his thoughts, Jimin stopped himself. He doesn't want to think of him again. The alpha is the last person that he would want to think of right now.
So, to stop his mind from diverting again, he took out his airpods stuffing them in his ears. It would be a good distraction for him till he reaches his home.
" Jimin ah! " A loud deep voice echoes through out the hallway just as Jimin stepped inside his big house.
Jimin smiled from ear to ear on seeing the older alpha run down the stairs in hurry to greet him. His jet black hairs and youthful smile wouldn't make anyone believe that Jimin was his son. The alpha has taken good care of himself to look this young despite already being in his 50s.
" Dad ! " He calls for him, running to his father like he used to do when he was younger. Even though he lived separately from his father for years their bond is still the same.
" My son! My precious, Jiminie! " He cried out on Jimin's shoulder, feeling so happy now that his missing piece was finally here to complete him.
He hugged Jimin a little too tight in his arms, but Jimin didn't mind. He missed his father's hugs very much.
" Aigo, you have gotten so much thinner."
He finally take a good look at his son. The last time he saw him was just a month ago when he went to US to see his son.
But he still things Jimin lost some weight in that one month. Jimin would beg to differ though.
" If your papa was here, he would put all the blame on me."
Jimin laughed at that, he knows that what his father is saying is true. His papa has always cared for him a little too much.
He turned around to finally take a proper look at the large mansion. Everything is just the same as he had remembered from years ago. He knew his father must have kept everything so, because he doesn't like changes. His eyes settled on the big family portrait that's right in the middle of the front wall.
There's his father, looking so young in a beautiful black suit and his papa, oh so handsome as ever in a white suit, complimenting his father's look. In between the couple is standing a little small boy with his crooked smile and crescent eyes. Anyone would recognize him as Jimin.
" I'm back home, papa." He speaks to the portrait.
Jihoon, Jimin's father thought that Jimin would have let go of this habit by now, but looks like it's still there.
Jihoon patted on his son's back, his view hazy with tears as he looked at the portrait too. Missing Hajun, his omega even more today.
" You really look so much like him." He compliments seeing the similarity between Hajun and Jimin. If only Hajun was here, they both would have seen their son grow up together.
" Thank god, I inherited all my good looks from him. "
Jimin said in a sarcastic way to ease the atmosphere. He didn't like seeing his father so emotional like this.
" Brat! " He hit jimin lightly on his shoulder, before engulfing him in another hug.
" Appa missed you so much, baby. " He gently strokes Jimin's fluffy hair.
" I missed you too appa."
" Look at them all crying, they all missed you too." He points at the servants, in an attempt to hide his own tears.
" Wow! I feel like I'm so popular all of a sudden."
Jimin giggles before he went to hug all the servants. Some of the staff are unfamiliar to him, but even then he hugged them like he has known them for years.
" Well yeah you're the only heir of this wealthy businessman. "
Jihoon points to himself.
" Sir the food is ready, I'll serve it for you."
Jihoon has specially asked the chef to make Jimin's favorite dishes in the honour of him finally coming back home after years. He likes to blame the American food for making his son so thin. So, he has taken an oath to get his son back in shape by feeding him Korean food.
" You must be hungry, let's eat first then you can rest as much as you want."
He put his hands on Jimin's shoulder, pushing him towards their dining room. He thinks Jimin must have forgotten about the ways in this house by now.
" Can't I rest first? "
Jimin whines, finding it hard to keep his eyes open but, Jihoon doesn't oblige to his request.
" I know you'll be knocked out for hours once you touch your bed. So, fill up your stomach first. I know you're not a big fan of airplane food anyway."
Jimin smiles at how his father knows so much about him. He has a string dislike for airplane food, so he had just a granola bar in the whole flight.
Usually this kind of bond is more seen between alpha parent and alpha children. But his father never discriminated him for being an omega. Even when people asked him to remarry and produce an alpha heir after his papa's death, he coldly rejected them. Saying he has already devoted his heart to his omega. And that Jimin will be his sole heir, irrespective of his sub gender.
Jimin was still small to understand those words at that time, but now that he finally understand it, he has only love and respect for his father in his heart.
" Ahh my dad knows me so well."
" Tell your appa that I'm doing a good job at being a single father."
His eyes went upto one of his favorite picture of Hajun where he's smiling with little Jiminie in his lap.
Hajun's eyes have turned into crescent moon too just like Jimin's do when he smiles.
He doesn't know how he was able to endure these years away from Jimin, but it was Jimin's decision to study abroad so who was he to decline his son's sincere request.
" I think he already knows."
Jimin reassures him. He has a feeling his papa must he watching over them from heaven and would be so proud of them both.
" Come on, sweet talks, it's time to fill your empty tummy."
The father and son soon took their respective seats on the dining table. Jihoon was adamant to feed Jimin by his hands and even though Jimin acted like he was an adult now not not wanted to eat from his father's hands, deep inside he actually loved getting pampered by his father.
He loved the feeling that he can actually behave like a child when he's with his father.
