The walk back to Yoongi's house was awkward for both of them. Jimin never thought he'd feel this awkward with a child. So he felt like the need to say something to fill the silence between them.
" Hey, kid."
The way he addressed him made Yoonjun pout. Not very happy with it.
" My name is Yoonjun." He tells him again, in case Jimin has forgotten it.
But the reality is far from that, Jimin can never forget that name. How could ge forget the name that he came up with himself. He's intentionally trying to avoid to say the name to protect his heart.
" It is usually you and appa in your house? "
He doesn't want to sound nosy. But he can't help but be curious about Yoonjun's other parent and Yoongi's omega...
He can't ask him directly about it and there's no way he's going to ask Min Yoongi about it. He would rather die than doing that.
Yoonjun nods at the question and suddenly a certain kind of spark is ignited in his eyes. A mischievous one.
" Jiminie wanna live with us? "
He looks at Jimin with suspicious eyes.
The look and the question made Jimin choke and halt on his way. Where did he even got that thought from? Not even in his wildest dream he could think about living with Yoongi. His blood pressure would be so high if he did so.
" NO! I was- i was just asking."
He tries to defend himself but the heat rushing to his face says otherwise. And Yoonjun is quick to catch that.
" Jiminie red tomato."
Yoonjun giggles, pointing at Jimin's utterly red cheeks.
Jimin was too embarrassed to even continue walking. Thank god he saw an ice cream truck nearby and thought of using it as an excuse.
" See, there's an ice cream truck. You want ice cream? "
" Appa said not to take things from stranger."
Yoonjun replies strictly, as if he's a rule abiding child, but Yoongi would like to say otherwise.
" I'm not a stranger. I'm your Appa's.... boss."
Yoonjun isn't very convinced by that, cause he doesn't understand the term boss fully. In his eyes Jimin is a bad person who bully his father so, he still has his suspicion about him.
" But if you don't want it, it's okay I'll buy one for myself."
Jimin starts to walk away with a smile. And soon after Yoonjun followed him too, like he expected him to do.
" Junie wants one too!"
He declares, still a bit shy to take anything from a stranger. But not being able to resist the urge of his sweet tooth.
" Which flavour? "
He turns around, not wanting Yoonjun to see the big smile that he made to appear on his face.
" White chocolate." He replies excitedly.
' Just like Yoongi.' Jimin thought in his head; still remembering about Yoongi's preferences till this date.
" One peach and one white chocolate flavour."
Once Yoonjun got his hands on his ice cream he couldn't stop himself from smiling. And just like how Yoongi had taught him he didn't forget to thank Jimin for it.
The rest of the walk was silent, thanks to the ice cream. Or who knows what else the boy would have said to make Jimin loose his head again.
" You know the password? " Jimin asks Yoonjun, looking doubtful. But Yoonjun steps in with a proud chest.
He stands in front of the door but it's too short for him to reach the keypad, so Jimin lifts him up in his arms.
He looks at the boy impatiently, waiting for him to finally unlock it. But Yoonjun just stare back at him.
" Don't look." He warns as he covered the lock with his small hands.
Jimin scoffs, it's not like he's a thief or some kind of cheap person. But he's also not in the mood to argue with a little boy. So, he just quietly turn his head around, giving the boy privacy.
" It's open. Welcome to Yoonjunie and appa's home." He jumps down from Jimin's arms and ran inside.
Soon, Jimin follows behind him, even though he was here before he didn't has much time to make around of his surroundings. So now he looks at the house with open eyes.
The apartment is nothing in front of his mansion, but the cozy atmosphere that it has makes it very beautiful. Everything is color coordinated according to a specific scheme. He remembers Yoongi was always obsessed with these kind of aesthetics.
" Jiminie sit there, Junie will bring you juice."
Yoonjun orders him. And before Jimin could decline the offer Yoonjun already rushed into the kitchen and Jimin just knew he had no other choice but to follow the orders now.
On the other hand, Yoongi rushed to his house as fast as he could after the phone call ended.
Jimin and Yoonjun in one room are the same like explosives and fire. He was afraid what could the two be upto, afraid that his worst nightmare might be true where they are at each other's throat.
He only prayed for his thoughts to not be true, and it looked like god really heard his prayers.
While punching in the passcode the house seemed to be covered in dead silence. He opened the door slowly and was met with a pair of arms.
" Appa you're back! "
Yoonjun jumps into Yoongi's arms like he's seeing him for the first time in months. The scene made Jimin roll his eyes, despite the fact that he's the same as Yoonjun when it comes to his father.
" Yeah Jun ah, appa's back. You're okay, right? "
He cups the boy's little face in his hands and started inspecting it. Caressing it lovingly.
" Junie okay. Jiminie helped me."
Yoonjun turns around to point at Jimin who was sitting on the couch looking at them without even blinking. But soon turned his head around when Yoonjun mentioned his name.
" Jimin ah-"
After hearing his name being called out, he stood up from the couch walking towards Yoongi.
" No need to thank me, just know I would have done the same if it was someone else too."
He says so, so Yoongi wouldn't think that he's someone special to him. Even though he is.
" But still thank you. Let me pay you-" Yoongi tried, wanting to thank the younger. But it's like everytime he opens his mouth to say something, Jimin takes its opposite meaning.
" Wanna thank me with money now? " Jimin asks with a smirk.
" No thanks, Min. I have enough of that."
He gave him a weird smile before walking past him. But Yoongi is quick to stop him by holding his hand.
It's like one wants to hold on, while the other wants to let go.
" Wait-"
" What now? "
" Why aren't you coming to the office ?"
Jimin rolls his eyes at that. He is Yoongi's boss and not the other way around he doesn't owe him any kind of explanation.
" Do I have to inform you about my absentee too?"
" No it's just..."
He doesn't know how to express his thoughts, everything he's saying right now is just being misunderstood by Jimin.
" What? "
" If you feel uncomfortable working with me then I'll quit. You don't have to stop coming to work if you want to avoid me."
Yoongi hopes that Jimin doesn't oblige to this, because that way he'd loose the only way he have to see Jimin.
" Who said I was avoiding you? "
Jimin said getting defensive, even if it's true he's not going to admit it. It'll make him seem like a weak person.
" And you're going to quit? Hah you think I'll let you do so? "
He laughs at Yoongi's face. The alpha can't understand what's going on inside Jimin's head.
The younger push himself closer to Yoongi, making Yoongi think he's going in for a kiss but in reality he brings his face close to his ears.
" It's finally my turn to take revenge on you so, don't think I'll let you off the hook easily, Min."
He whispers in such a tone that almost sounded life threatening. But to Yoongi those words are sweet as honey.
" I won't let you go this easily."
He says again before heading out of there, leaving Yoongi stunned. It's his words that make Yoongi feel alot of things, alot of emotions. He knows very well that Jimin said them as a threat but he just can't help it but take them in another meaning.
A meaning where Jimin tells him he won't let him go. These words mean very much to him. Because at some point of his life he wanted to say these words but he wasn't brave enough to do so.
" I won't let you go either." He whispers while watching Jimin disappear.
