The way Jimin rushed down the stairs like a madman, everyone was afraid he might trip and hurt himself seriously since he's already so clumsy. But Jimin somehow managed to run down in one piece without getting hurt. After all, he need to be okay to stop the incoming storm.
With huffed breaths and heavy chest, he lunged forward and captured the alpha in a tight hug, the force so heavy that it made him take 4-5 steps backwards to manage his balance along with the extra weight.
" Aw, you missed me so much? "
Taehyung felt tears coming in his eyes, genuinely moved at his best friend's behaviour. But his happiness drained when he heard Jimin whispering in his ear.
" Shut your mouth and just listen to what I'm going to say."
Taehyung visibly gulped at the terrifying train in jimin's voice. Did he do something to upset the omega? Did he find about one of his mischief ?
" That boy is Yoongi's son and he's staying here with me for sometime. So, I lied to dad and said he's your nephew."
Taehyung looks over to see a little boy hiding behind Jimin's father, his big eyes staring right at the new comer.
" Now you have to act according to all my lies."
Jimin finally parts away and put back his usual smile. His duality drives Taehyung insane.
" Of course, I missed my soulmate so much."
Jimin agains hug Taehyung once again, this time a genuine one.
" He's supposed to be your nephew."
He reminds taehyung when the alpha doesn't go to meet his allegedly nephew which might make his dad suspicious.
" Oh, my....nephewww!"
It sounded a little awkward since Taehyung doesn't know the boy's name. But he still tried to act well to save Jimin's ass.
" How have you been? Uncle missed you so much."
He picked Yoonjun up in his arms, swinging him a little and placing a sweet kiss on his cheek. He acted like he really missed the boy, guess his acting classes are finally paying off.
On the other hand, Yoonjun was shocked he kept looking at Jimin with confused eyes, who just gestured him to stay quite.
" Taehyung ah, you're back early. Jimin said you'll come back in 2-3 days."
Jihoon finally speaks after seeing the little reunion.
" I just wanted to surprise him."
" I think yoonjun missed his uncle too." Jihoon turns to look at the boy who doesn't seem too happy, and Taehyung saw his suspiciousness so he buried his little head in his chest.
" Yoonjun... Yeah, uncle missed his Yoonjun too."
He blinks his eyes cutely.
" You're angry because I didn't come back early, right?"
The boy nods hesitantly at that. He decides to just follow Taehyung's lead cause he doesn't understand one thing.
" Since you're here, let us all have breakfast together."
Jihoon suggests, since whenever Taehyung came over he'd have the meals with them.
" Ok-" Taehyung was ready at the suggestion, but Jimin stopped him by putting his foot on top of his.
" Ah, Taehyung is not hungry yet. We'll eat later."
Taehyung looked at Jimin with pleading eyes but the omega ignored them. He can't let Taehyung be with his father unless he makes sure first that Taehyung won't expose his secret.
" Okay, whatever suits your taste."
" What about you, Yoonjun ah? "
" He's not hungry either." Jimin answered on Yoonjun's behalf too. The boy disheartened because he really wanted to have breakfast with Jihoon, since he enjoys his company.
With that Jimin held Taehyung by his arm and dragged the two sulky persons behind him, upto his room.
Closing the door, as soon as they were inside. So, no one would will be able to hear them.
" Mind explaining what all this mess is? " Taehyung finally says once they are alone in the vicinity of Jimin's room.
" It wouldn't have been so, if you had just texted me before coming here."
He puts all the blame on Taehyung, as if it wasn't his idea to fabricate this lie web.
" Well it's my house too, do i need to get your permission to come here ?"
Taehyung stands up for himself.
" You could've given me a head ups."
" There's something called 'surprise'."
Yoonjun saw the way they both continued to bicker continuously. Once the boy had enough he went towards Jimin's side and tugged on his shirt.
" Jiminie who's he ?"
Taehyung heard Yoonjun's hesitant voice. He put on a smile on his face, deciding he can just bicker with Jimin later.
" Let me properly introduced myself. I'm Kim Taehyung, Jimin's one and only bestfriend."
Taehyung got down on his knees to meet Yoonjun's height. Taehyung smile made Yoonjun more relaxed in his presence, he came out from behind and went closer to Taehyung.
" I'm Junie. Min Yoonjun. Min yoongi's son."
He introduce himself with a smile that's identical to Yoongi's.
Taehyung is actually shocked by the similarities that he's seeing between him and Yoongi.
" Nice to meet you, kid. You truly do look like your father."
Taehyung lovingly ruffled his hairs. Jimin felt a bit of jealousy on seeing how Yoonjun was happy and relaxed in Taehyung's presence.
" You know my appa? "
The boy asked curiously.
" Yeah, we three used to go to same college."
Jimin rolls his eyes at that, that information was not necessary.
" So, when did you come back? "
Jimin changes the topic quickly.
" Last night."
" Mmh."
" Now, mind explaining all this? " Jimin finally takes a seat on his bean bag. He doesn't need to tell Taehyung to do so, because the alpha is already rolling all over his already messy bed.
" Yoongi is in Japan for a business meeting and there was no one to take care of him, so, as his boss I decided to help him."
He says it like it's not a big deal for him, but Taehyung knows what his heart really felt.
" I didn't know bosses babysit your kids too."
Jimin glared at him at that.
" And I couldn't have just told dad that he was Yoongi's son. So, I said he's your nephew."
Taehyung understands that, well Jihoon wouldn't have welcomed Yoonjun if he knew the reality.
" Umm does he have no other family members? "
Taehyung asks in a hushed tone, being careful so that Yoonjun would not hear their conversation.
" His parents live in Daegu, so it'd have taken them time to arrive here."
Taehyung gave him a look at that, Jimin still remember these details about Yoongi. But act like he isn't affected by him at all.
" And uh- yknow his other parent? "
Jimin goes silent for a second before replying. He looks over at Yoonjun who has been entertaining himself by looking outside the window.
" He said they've separated."
" Oo- you still have a chance."
Taehyung says with a sly grin.
Jimin's eyes goes wide and in a instant he gets on top of Taehyung, playfully strangling him.
" Tae shut the fu-"
He stops himself mid sentence again.
And Taehyung laughs at him, cause he can't cuss anymore. That only added fuel to Jimin's rage.
" Keep your mouth shut unless you want me to expose your drunk videos on the internet."
Jimin smirks,on seeing the defeated look on Taehyung's face. He knows the alpha value his reputation very much.
Once he saw the warning go through Taehyung he steps down from him.
" And you."
He turns to look at Yoonjun, who has been laughing loudly at Taehyung's drained face.
" Remember we're playing a game right?"
Yoonjun nods his head to that.
" So, you have to act like he's your uncle." He points towards Taehyung.
" If you do a good job I'll give you anything you want."
" Anything? "
His face lights up on hearing that. And Jimin actually gets afraid what the child might demand, but he already said it so now there's no going back. He just nods weakly.
" Yeah! Uncle Taetae! "
He runs with open arms to hug Taehyung. Not seeing how his friendly act makes Jimin puff up his cheeks.
" Wow, I'm an uncle now."
Taehyung giggles, rubbing his hand over Yoonjun's back. He peeks at Jimin, afraid the omega might not like that Taehyung acts so friendly with Yoonjun, his ex's son.
But he didn't find a single emotion like that in Jimin's eyes. Instead there was a faint smile as the omega stared at the child. The same smile, that Jimin used to have while looking at Yoongi.
