The whole early morning mess had brainwashed Jimin's already tired brain. So, when his eyes landed on the fancy clock on the wall, his heart started racing again.
" Yah! Have you seen the time, YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL! "
He screams while pointing at the child.
Yoonjun hasn't even taken a bath yet. Plus he takes a lot of time to finish his breakfast. There's no way he's going to make it there in time.
Jimin starts panicking just by the thought of Yoonjun reaching late to school because of him. To him it'll be like he failed his mission.
In the corner, Taehyung quite enjoyed this new side of Jimin. The panic stricken omega. He won't say it in front of Jimin, but it seemed like Jimin perfectly suited the role of a parent even though he's a bit careless sometimes.
" But the school is closed today."
Yoonjun's one statement was enough to stop the hyperventilating omega from running around the room.
He stood frozen at one place so his brain could process the words efficiently, once sure he went close to Yoonjun and then looked at him with wide eyes.
" Huh ?"
" It's the weekend, Jimin."
Taehyung explains on behalf of Yoonjun. And then it made sense to Jimin's head that it was saturday. He's been so busy nowadays that he even forgot what day it was.
Once calmed down, Jimin turned to look at the boy who was silently giggling by Taehyung's side.
" You could've told me earlier."
His strict tone made Yoonjun believe that he did something wrong. His smile instantly faltering and a scared look taking over his face.
" Well he thought that you might be smart enough to remember the day." Taehyung spoke from Yoonjun's side. He saw the way Yoonjun's eyes started getting glassy on Jimin's sudden mood change. Taehyung thinks, Jimin really need to work on his temper.
Jimin also noticed that, now feeling guilty for using that tone with the child. He let's out an audible sigh, one that tells that even he is frustrated of himself.
" I still have to go to office today, the work's been hectic since Yoongi went to Japan."
He went ahead to his wardrobe, to choose his outfit for today.
" Then Junie would be alone? "
The boys asked with a sad pout. Even though the servants would be there with him, he still get bored and lonely in such a big house.
" Taehyung can take care of you."
Jimin replies simply, his attention still focused on choosing the shirt.
" Me ? But I- i don't know anything about children."
Now it was Taehyung's turn to panic.
Taehyung was the youngest in his house, so just like Jimin he was used to getting pampered and not to pamper anyone else.
And he don't have any niece or nephew that are Yoonjun's age so, he thinks it'd be hard for him to take care of the boy.
" Well, you're his uncle after all."
With that Jimin finally settled on what clothes to wear. He started walking towards his bathroom now.
" Jimin ah! "
Taehyung saw Jimin rushing away from there.
" I'll fetch him back once I'm done with work."
Jimin gave him a wink.
" Dress him up and have breakfast, I'm sure samchun has made your favourite pancakes."
Jimin pokes his head out, trying to use the pancakes as bribery.
" Take him to your room."
He ordered Yoonjun and the boy gladly accepted.
" Okay, let's go uncle Tae."
He's getting quite fond of Taehyung, despite this being their first meeting.
" He's an energetic child."
Taehyung says while getting dragged by Yoonjun to the adjacent room.
" He matches your energy perfectly."
Jimin laughs and waved his best friend bye before finally stepping in the shower to officially start his day.
When Jimin finally got down dressed in his formal attire, Yoonjun and Taehyung were already on the dining table having their breakfast. His father was present there too, but this time Jimin felt less anxious cause he knew Taehyung would manage even if Yoonjun slips in between conversation.
" Oh Jimin ah, come. Taehyung was telling us about how naughty this little prince is."
" Is that so? " He looks at Taehyung who gave him a wink in return.
" Yeah, afterall he's my nephew, he would take after me."
Taehyung boasts like Yoonjun is his real nephew.
" Jimin ah, breakfast." His father says again when Jimin walked the other way.
" I'm getting very late, dad. I'll eat something on the way."
Jimin gave his father an apologetic smile before he rushed away from there.
" He's going to drink coffee again, isn't he? "
His father says with a light laugh. He knows very well what his son means by he'll eat something on his way.
" He still acts like a child."
Taehyung says in a way like he's older than Jimin while it's the other way around.
" That's why I'm so worried about him, I just want to see him settle down and have a family before I descend to heaven."
Jihoon finally speaks out his worries, he can only speak such thing in front of Taehyung. To him Taehyung is like his second son. And to Taehyung too, Jihoon is like a second father.
" Maybe, he'll finally find the missing piece of his heart."
" I hope so."
Jihoon just laughs at that statement, not understanding what Taehyung was actually trying to imply.
Just as Jimin set one foot inside the building, his phone started ringing. He initially decided to ignore it, but then thought maybe it's Taehyung and he wants to ask something about Yoonjun. So, he decided to take the call.
But that wasn't the case, he rolled his eyes when he saw the oh so familiar name on the caller id.
" What? "
He picked it up once he was inside his cabin where the others wouldn't be able to hear him.
" I just remembered I didn't tell you that Yoonjun has his weekends off."
Jimin bit his tongue in an attempt to stop himself from saying something ridiculous.
" Why are you telling me this so early? Should have just waited for the nightfall."
He heard Yoongi's suppressed giggle on the other end. He doesn't understand why the alpha always finds his threat funny.
" Actually I was going to tell you in the morning, but I was so hungover that it totally skipped my mind."
That made Jimin remember about the fancy dinner that the alpha had last night.
And his brain automatically paints a picture where Yoongi is sitting in the middle with flushed cheeks because of the alcohol and there are many others omegas surrounding him with lustful look in their eyes.
He quickly chases the thought away from his head.
" So, did you have fun drinking with the hot japanese omega? "
He bites his bottom lip in anxiousness while waiting for the reply. Why was he even anxious because of such thing?
" Mmh- " He hears Yoongi's serious tone on the other end.
"- they were not as hot as you."
And there goes Yoongi again with his attempt to flirt with Jimin.
The omega stomps his feet on the ground, but he won't say if it was because of annoyance he felt or because of the butterflies that he got.
" If you have time to flirt, just use that to finish the deal soon."
" Why? Are you missing me? "
The alpha somehow always manage to leave Jimin perplexed with his words.
" Like hell, I do."
His lips says these words but his heart doesn't agree.
" Now stop bothering me, I'm not as free as you."
He doesn't think he could take it anymore if Yoongi kept on saying such rubbish.
" Take it easy, don't overwork yourself."
This time Yoongi says it in a soft tone that's different from his teasing one. It shows the genuine care he has for the omega.
" I don't think I need to be told that by you, Mr. Min."
And with that Jimin hung up, for some reason he really enjoys having the last word.
He finally takes a seat on his stuff chair, trying to relax when his phone buzzed again.
This time Jimin brought it upto his ears without even looking at the caller.
" What now? "
" Why are you always so pissed? "
Jimin sighs when the voice on the other end isn't Yoongi.
" I thought it was Yoongi."
" Oo, you're talking on phone now."
Taehyung nevers leaves an opportunity to tease Jimin. Sometimes Jimin thinks he's just like Yoongi.
" He was just asking about his son, nothing else."
" Hmm." Taehyung's voice tells that he isn't buying that lie.
" Why did you call me? "
" Just wanted to tell you I'm taking Yoonjun to the cafe, come there once you're done."
" 'Kay."
After that Jimin put his phone on silent mode, he needs to work and for that he needs to get rid of the distraction.
He might have gotten rid of phone but what about the distraction that the alpha's words caused in his brain?
