Jimin tried with all his might to finish early with his work today so, he could go to Yoonjun fast. He knows Yoonjun is happy and safe with Taehyung, but he still feels unsettled inside.
It was almost dinner time when Jimin managed to get his way back to the cafe, it sure was a rush hour. Once he somehow managed to reach the second floor after squeezing himself through the crowd, he saw Yoonjun sleeping with his head on Taehyung's lap and a thin blanket wrapped around him.
He tried to walk slowly, so as to not make any noise, but he accidentally collided with one of the table making the boy shot up because of the alarming noise.
" Well, I thought you weren't going to come." Taehyung took his eyes off his phone screen to shoot Jimin a glance and then look at the clock.
" Jiminie is back! "
Yoonjun with his still sleepy eyes got hurried down from Taehyung's lap and ran to hug Jimin.
Jimin held Yoonjun in a half hug and rubbed his one arm down the boy's spine. The warm gesture surprised him a little, he didn't think Yoonjun would have missed him so much.
Probably because even if Yoonjun and Taehyung bonded quickly, he was still a new comer in his life. And since he's been living with Jimin, he got more comfortable with his presence.
" Did you have fun today? "
" Yes! Junie painted with uncle Tae."
He saw the bright smile on Yoonjun's face and somehow it made all his tiredness go away in the blink of an eye.
" That's good."
" Come I'll show you my painting."
With that Yoonjun pulled him towards one of the canvases painted by him.
It was nothing too grand, just an abstract kinda drawing you'd expect from a child. But the hopeful eyes that Yoonjun looked at him with, made him realize how much this would have meant for the kind.
" It's nice."
He says but the boy isn't satisfied with that, he put his head more higher and higher, until Jimin finally understood what he wanted.
" G-good job."
He hesitantly pat his head, finally making the child happy on getting what he wanted.
" I'm so hungry let's go out to eat. Tteokbokki? "
Taehyung stood up after he was done smiling at the scene. He's more hungry after playing with Yoonjun all day long. He doesn't understand where the boy got his immense energy from. Just when Taehyung finally put him to sleep somehow, Jimin came and woke him up ruining his relaxing time.
" Junie love tteokbokki."
Yoonjun still jumps in excitement like he hasn't been doing the same since morning. He jumped like that when Taehyung showed him his drawings, when he handed him a paintbrush and when he got his favourite strawberry smoothie for him.
" You know, Jiminie loves tteokbokki too."
The fact wasn't necessary, but somehow Taehyung wanted to put it out.
With that they drove off to the place in Jimin's car, cause Taehyung argued that he was very tired to drive his own.
Instead of going to an expensive restaurant like Jimin and Taehyung usually go, they went to a small, worn out street shop, where they used to go during their high school.
" Eat slowly, you'll choke yourself."
Jimin scolds the boy lightly, on seeing how fast he was eating.
But Yoonjun didn't listen to him. That's just how children behave when there's food in front of them. But Jimin didn't know that.
" Hot."
Yoonjun let his chopsticks down at the hot feeling, his hands wandering to find the glass of water to help his burning tongue.
" That's why I told you to eat slowly."
Jimin brought the glass of water to Yoonjun's lips, helping the boy sip it down slowly.
" What are you doing? "
Jimin's head snapped on hearing a click sound.
" Just taking pictures to remember this soft hearted Jimin."
Jimin rolled his eyes at that, he will never understand why his best friend see him as a cold hearted person. He isn't some emotionless person, if he was- he would have never offered to keep his ex's child in his house.
" Wouldn't Yoongi hyung be glad to see his ex and his son bonding together."
Jimin's eyes shot open like Taehyung just read his mind.
" Oops sorry."
The alpha quickly went back to his meal, opting to stay silent for rest of the dinner and choosing his life over anything else.
" Ah I'm so full, feels like I'm gonna explode."
The alpha caresses his bloated tummy. Sometimes, he tends to eat alot like today and then whine about his physique. Jimin has seen that view many a times already.
" That's why you should have eaten less."
Taehyung completely ignores that statement and instead turned to Yoonjun who has a bright smile on his face after dinner.
" Junie, do you want ice cream ?"
Taehyung's words made the boy stop in his track. He looked up at Taehyung with a happy grin.
And then turned to look at Jimin on hearing the tempting question.
" Why are you looking at me? "
Yoonjun stayed silent as if trying to talk with his eyes, but Jimin didn't quite understand what he wants.
" He probably wants your permission. Such an obedient child."
Taehyung helps his dumb best friend a little. He thinks he should officially apply for a job of translator between Jimin and Yoonjun.
" I'm not your father, do whatever you want."
" He said yes, let's get ice cream."
Taehyung pulled the boy away towards the ice cream truck before he could have reacted badly to Jimin's words.
" Junie which flavor do you want? "
" White chocolate."
" The usual for you? "
Jimin hums, he's not even in the mood for ice cream. He just wants to go home and rest, but seeing how much fun Yoonjun was having he decided to hang on a little bit more.
" Aigoo you're such a beautiful family. Your son is so handsome. "
The lady suddenly says, making Jimin choke on nothing particular.
Sure he and Taehyung had been mistaken for a couple many a times before, but now Yoonjun being their son? Hah, can't they see he have no resemblance with any of them.
" We're no-"
Jimin wanted to tell her the truth but Taehyung stopped him.
" Thank you, ahjumma."
He bowed to her with a gentle smile, making Jimin swallow the words he wanted to say.
" Why didn't you let me correct her? "
Jimin asks once they were far away from the lady.
" What difference was it gonna make? We're a family afterall."
Well, yes he and Taehyung are a family but not in that way.
Taehyung saw Jimin's puffed cheeks and thought to himself how cute the omega is.
" Come on, let's take a stroll along the han river."
He used his other hand that was not held by Yoonjun to hold Jimin's.
It was common for them to hold hands so Jimin didn't pull back, he only tightened his grip more.
" Jiminie... "
Yoonjun tried hia best to hold on but he can't do it anymore. He freed himself from Taehyung's hold and went in front of Jimin.
" What? "
The boy looked at Jimin with tears welled in his eyes, the tears were there to signify his sleepiness.
" Junie tired, up up!"
He suspend his arms upward, hoping that just like his appa picks him up when he's tired, Jimin would do so too.
" He must be tried from all the exhausting activities he did today."
" You're his uncle, you should pick him up."
Jimin turns to look at the alpha. Thinking about using the alpha card if the uncle card doesn't work.
" But he asked you, not me."
If Yoonjun specially went from Taehyung's side to Jimin's, the boy must really want to be picked up by him, so Jimin has to oblige, more so because he himself was drowning in sleep.
" Jiminie smells nice."
The boy says as soon as his head rested on Jimin's chest. He snuggles in his arms just like a little puppy to make himself more comfortable.
Taehyung saw the hesitant and surprised look on Jimin's face. He knows Jimin liked it, but the omega wouldn't dare to admit it.
" Let's go back now, your face says you're tired too."
Taehyung put his hand on the small of Jimin's back, since Jimin's both hands were occupied by the little pup now. Securing his hold tightly on the boy, so he won't fall.
" Thanks for finally noticing."
" So, I'm your chauffeur again tonight ?"
" Well we only have one car and as you can see, this koala bear is stuck to me."
Jimin points at the sleepy baby. His tiny hands curled into a fist around Jimin's shirt.
" He feels comfortable in your presence."
Taehyung says, if Jimin hasn't noticed it already. The sentence made Jimin feel proud of himself. His omega happy at the compliment.
Once they reached back to Jimin's house they all were tired to the point that they didn't even want to walk upto Jimin's room on the second floor.
Jimin laid the boy gently on his bed and gave Taehyung his clothes to change into while he himself went to take a shower.
Because no matter how tired he is, he always shower before sleeping. It relaxes his stiff muscles, and help him in having a much better sleep.
When he came back, Taehyung was asleep soundlessly curled to Yoonjun. The alpha has changed his bottom half but was lying shirtless now.
Jimin sighed, he doesn't wanna waste his time to try to wake Taehyung up so, he just let him be.
He covered them both with the covers before finally sliding in himself too. And just like last night, he felt Yoonjun get closer to him, until his face was finally resting on his chest.
But today Jimin was too tired to resist so, he just put one of his arm on Yoonjun's back and cuddled him to sleep.
