Jungkook stood nervously outside the big wooden gate that is stopping him from going inside. He checks the house number with the address that Taehyung sent to him once again cause he wasn't just sure that this is the place where he's supposed to be at.
When the numbers matched, he decided to just go for it. Even if he's in a wrong place, it's not like the landlord would scold him for that.
He texted Taehyung that he was outside the house in the address he has given.
He thought it'd take Taehyung some time to come outside or worst the alpha wouldn't even come.
But just as the message was sent, Jungkook heard a shuffling noises from behind the gate before heavy footsteps were heard rushing in his direction.
In a split second the huge door that was barricading him before, opened to make both of them get face to face with each other.
Taehyung had his jaw hanging open when he locked eyes with Jungkook.
He was left stunned only by Jungkook's face but when his gaze fell down he was left completely shocked.
The omega wore a leather jacket accompanied by a checkered shirt and a plain black tshirt on the inside. The tight ripped washed denim jeans accentuating his toned legs. This was different from how he dressed up when Taehyung met him for the first time in the amusement park.
If this was a cartoon movie, you'd be able to see Taehyung's heart eyes coming out of their sockets as he stared at Jungkook with his jaw on the floor.
" Taehyung ssi? "
Jungkook's sweet voice brought Taehyung back from the simping world. He closed his agaped mouth and turned around so he could let out a silent scream to calm himself down.
" Jungkook ah, welcome."
He says with a warm smile that masked his nervousness, he gestured Jungkook to come inside. Not wanting to make the omega suffer outside in the basking sun.
" This is my little house."
He addresses after they both are inside.
Jungkook almost chokes at the words.
" Little? "
If this is little for Taehyung, he doesn't know what is big for him then.
Jungkook doesn't move from his position but his eyes look around everywhere, as far as they could see, taking in as much as he can. There's so much going on here that he can't focus on one thing.
The house looks like everyone's dream house, straight out of a fantasy. It's very modern and chic yet so classy. The house is surrounded by glass windows letting one to see the outside view while relaxing inside.
" Shall I show you around? "
Taehyung asks when Jungkook doesn't say anything for too long. After all Jungkook was too shocked to say anything, but Taehyung was afraid that Jungkook might not have liked it.
When Jungkook gave him a weak nod, the alpha brings him into the living room first, it was the closest after all.
" This is the place you'd find me always in."
He says adding a little laughter in the end. The living room has a big ass sofa and a big tv mounted on the wall in front of that.
" Behind it, you can find the kitchen."
He brings Jungkook over to the other side of the wall. The kitchen is well hidden behind the tv wall. If someone isn't paying attention they might miss it.
And right adjacent to the kitchen is a dinning table which Taehyung thinks is unnecessary since he usually eats food while lying on the sofa and watching TV. But he still needs it for when his guests come over.
" Wow."
" This is nice..."
Jungkook feels like his vocabulary became limited. His words feel so less in front of this magnificent view.
He itches to touch everything, but is afraid that he might break it. To him everything seems fragile and expensive and something that he couldn't afford.
" Shall we head upstairs? I'll show you your room."
Jungkook nods and follow behind Taehyung. Even the stairs looks charming, the glass panel the carved wood. Jungkook thinks Taehyung accidentally brought him to a museum.
The whole house is so aesthetically pleasing, an eye candy and Jungkook isn't sure if he's ready to see the rooms.
" This is my room."
Taehyung says and puts his hand on the knob, Jungkook waited for taehyung to open it, but Taehyung doesn't.
" It's too messy... So, let's not go there." Taehyung remembets the mess of clothes that's piled up on his bed because he couldn't choose what to wear and neither did his bestfriend picked up his phone when he needs him the most. Leading him to just wear the first thing he could find from that pile.
They move forward and Taehyung sweats nervously when they stand in front of the second room of that floor.
" Ah this is just a store room."
Jungkook thinks it was a but weird to have a store room right next to your bedroom. But he doesn't express his views on that.
" This is your room."
Taehyung says opening the door of the third room. Jungkook nervously steps inside with a hand to his heart, and whatever he imagined the room to be like, it's way more than that.
Just like the rest of the house, the room has big windows instead of solid walls.
There's a big bed right in front as one enter the room. And there's even an arm chair with a lamp on the side.
" If you don't like anything tell me I'll change it."
" Taehyung ssi... I can't live here."
Taehyung feels his heart breaking as Jungkook said those words. Does Jungkook not like his house?
" No, no. Tell me what do you not like, I'll change it."
He asks standing in front of Jungkook. He doesn't want to let go of this golden opportunity that the heavens has bestowed him with. If Jungkook says he doesn't like the whole place, Taehyung would gladly build it from the scratch for him.
" Taehyung ssi, it's very-"
He doesn't know how to explain it to Taehyung. Because for Taehyung it might not be that big of a deal but for him it is. The room is very captivating, everything about it so enchanting and Jungkook doesn't think he deserves all this.
But then he takes one look at Taehyung's face; the alpha looking very dejected. He has that puppy look in his eyes and Jungkook's omega is dying to comfort him.
He let out a sigh, maybe he can get accommodated to live here after some time. He shouldn't reject such an offer just because of his feelings.
" So, when can I move in? "
His one question brings the happiness back on Taehyung's face.
" Anytime! " The big smile on Taehyung's face brings a smile on Jungkook's face too. The omega feels all warm inside just by that.
" We can go and get your stuff right now, let's go."
Taehyung starts searching for his keys around, if it was in his hands he would have brought Jungkook here last night when the omega texted him. Only he knows how many twist and turns he experienced last night because of the excitement.
" You don't need to come Taehyung ssi, I only have a few things and if needed I'll ask Yoongi hyung for help."
Taehyung was sad hearing that Jungkook declined his offer. But it was probably because Jungkook didn't want to bother him.
" What about the rent? "
" Rent? "
Clearly, Taehyung didn't think about it that way. He just wanted to live with Jungkook, he could care less about the rent or anything else.
" You don't expect me to live in this mansion for free, right? "
Taehyung wants to say that he can, that he have enough money and he doesn't need Jungkook to pay him, but he thinks it'd hurt Jungkook's pride if he says so.
" Uh, we can discuss about it tonight during dinner."
" Okay."
" And Jungkook, if you want to change anything just tell me. I'll change it for you."
" Your house is already perfect."
Taehyung smiles widely at the compliment. He had taken a part in designing of his house. So, whenever someone compliments his house he feels happy. More so if the compliment comes directly from his crush.
" You don't understand, I felt like I could have actually died if I kept on looking into his gorgeous eyes."
Taehyung slams his fist on the wall, he has been ranting to Jimin on the call for about half an hour now. And you guessed it right he was just about Jungkook and nothing else.
" I feel like I'm living in a dream. How can I be so lucky to live with my crush?"
Taehyung has always thought he had a good luck, but now he had started to believe that he has the superior luck in the whole world.
" Chim i don't- oh shit, he's here. I'll call you back later."
He hung up the call in one second when he heard the bell ring. He tosses his phone to the couch without any thoughts, and it barely managed to safely land. But Taehyung have least concern about it now.
" Let me take it."
He puts his hand on the luggage to take it but Jungkook doesn't allow him to.
" No, I can manage."
Jungkook pulls it closer to himself.
" Shh."
With that Taehyung finally succeeds in taking it from Jungkook's hand and brought it inside. It was quite light for what Taehyung has expected it to be.
" Is there another suitcase outside? "
Taehyung asks ready to go outside to fetch Jungkook's other suitcase.
" This is all that I had. I told you I travel from places to places so I don't have much things accumulated."
It's hard to collect things when you travel alot, more so when you don't have a house to keep the things in. So, Jungkook's keep in minimal, just basic necessities. Rest things he buy when he goes to a new place and sell them before going away from there.
" Wow, this-"
Jungkook has his mouth opened when they enter the living room. The room that was undecorated when he saw it a few hours ago was now covered with balloons and fairy lighting, that made it more majestic.
" A little welcoming party for you. I hope you like it."
Taehyung says nervously. He wanted to do more than this, but he only managed to do this much alone.
" Come."
He gestures Jungkook to follow him towards the dinning table where another surprise is waiting for him.
" Here."
He pulls the chair for Jungkook making the omega blush. He has already seen these kind of things on TV he never thought he'd get to experience it too.
" T-thank you."
Jungkook keeps his face down so to avoid showing Taehyung how red his face got.
" Here's our dinner for tonight."
Taehyung serves the dishes on the table and takes the lid off to present it.
The food looked delicious even from the look. Jungkook thinks that the alpha must have ordered it but when he looks at the kitchen and the mess it was, he knows Taehyung has cooked it all himself.
" You know how to cook? "
He asks in shock making Taehyung laugh, cause it's not the first time someone has doubted his ability to cook.
" Why ? You think of me as a person who can't do anything without servants?"
Jungkook feels embarrassed for being stereotyped. It's just how he has seen many rich people and concluded that Taehyung might be like them too.
" I'm an alpha, Jungkook. And I want to be able to cook for my future mate."
Taehyung says with a fond look as he talks about his future mate, cause in his head he's already designated Jungkook as that.
" Don't you think cooking is a task for omegas? "
Jungkook voices out his inner thoughts.
" Who believes in such bullshit? "
Taehyung continues with a laugh. But his one statement is enough to make Jungkook look at him like he hung the stars in the sky for him.
Jungkook finally gets to see Taehyung for what he is, except for being a heir of a rich family.
" Even my dad used to cook food for my mother. Actually that's how he impressed her."
He shares what he has heard from his mother. As far as he knows his mother was a sassy omega that had his father in a chokehold on their first meet. His father had to work hard to win his mother over.
" Oh, something's missing."
He says looking at the table that was although filled with various delicacies, it still looked empty to Taehyung.
He stand up abruptly on remembering just what they are missing, he brought his favorite wine bottle from one of the cabinet and poured it for him and Jungkook.
" Now, it's perfect."
He finally takes a seat opposite to Jungkook, taking his wine glass in hans.
" Cheers to us living together."
He brings his glass forward so they can clink their glasses.
" Taehyung ssi, thank you for letting me live with you."
Jungkook bows at Taehyung for his hospitality, he'd have liked to bring a gift for him but it all happened so soon that he didn't have time to do that.
" Now, you're making me angry."
Taehyung puts his now empty glass down and tries to look at Jungkook with fierce eyes. But his act fails, as his fierce eyes turns soft as soon as they meet with Jungkook's doe one.
" Why are you still calling me Taehyung ssi, I thought we're friends now."
He pouts making Jungkook crack a big smile. The omega was scared for a second that he might have done something wrong.
" Sorry, Taehyung s-- hyung."
" That's right. Good job."
Taehyung ruffles Jungkook's hair after not being able to resist the urge to do so. It's not his fault that Jungkook looks so adorable, he just wants to squish the little bunny is his arms while he peppers his cheeks with kisses.
Maybe it's not possible today, but someday for sure..
