Jimin has been staring at the clothes that are neatly arranged in outfits on his bed, for too long. When he's unsuccessful in making a decision himself he decides it's time to ask for help. And who else would he ask for help other than --
" Taehyung !"
" Hey, you don't need to scream my name like that everytime you call. "
Taehyung says putting his hand to his heart. Jimin always shout his name whenever he picks up the call and end up scaring him.
" Sorry, it's just very urgent."
Jimin puts his free hand to his forehead. He needs to be at school at 11 and it's already nine and he still hasn't decided on what to wear.
He should have just done it the night before but he was so tired from all the over work that he fell asleep as soon as his head touched the pillow.
" How can i help you today, Prince Jimin ?"
Taehyung says in a sassy tone. He always say how Jimin behaves like he's a prince of some prestigious kingdom.
Jimin ignore his words for now, not wanting to waste his time by arguing with Taehyung. He flips the camera around so Taehyung can see the outfits that he has arranged on the bed.
The first one is a whole black look. Black jeans, black t-shirt and a black leather jacket. He's clearly going for something chic.
The second one a Celine shirt, blue trousers and his favourite varsity jacket.
Third one is a white satin shirt with a deep neck and a black jeans. Aiming for a classy and elegant look.
Taehyung hums after seeing all of the outfits, he seemed to be taking too long to decide.
" Jimin ah, you are going to a children's sports meet. Not a fucking fashion show."
Taehyung knows his best friend dress like everywhere is red carpet, but he's going to a elementary school today. These kind of clothes would make him stand out and Jimin really hates that.
" Hey don't- wait! How do you know I'm going to a sports meet? "
Jimin raises his brow at his friend in suspicion. He was going to tell about it to Taehyung after he's finished with choosing his outfit.
Taehyung gave him a nervous laugh at that. He really speaks a little too much sometimes.
" Yoonjun asked Jungkook to come too- but unfortunately he has a photo shoot today."
Taehyung saw Jimin's facial expressions change soon. His lips curl downward and his eyes droop.
" Yah! You don't have to be jealous, he loves Jungkook like his uncle."
" Who said I'm jealous! "
Jimin tries to change his expression and even though he's successful in doing so, the look in his eyes won't change. The fierce and betrayed look.
" And if he sees Jungkook as his uncle, maybe he see me as one too."
The words hurts him more than he thought they would. Yoonjun has never regarded him as an uncle, he always call him Jiminie.
But then again he doesn't call Jungkook, uncle too.
" No, he doesn't see you as his uncle."
Taehyung's words act as an ice pack, making his eyes glisten with a teeny bit of shine.
" Then what? "
" Maybe his papa."
The alpha's word left Jimin stunned for sometime. It forms a pit of warmth in Jimin's stomach.
Papa... Can he really be?
" Tae! "
He shouts to stop his brain from thinking too much about it. He has learned from his past that expectations only hurt. So, he tries not to give his heart false hopes to protect it.
" What? You told me things are going great between you and Yoongi hyung. It's a matter of time before you officially become his other parent."
Jimin heaves a long sigh at that. Is everything as easy as it seems to be? Because to him it's like he's lost in a maze and doesn't know the way out.
" Even though things are great I'm still a bit hesitant to take a step farther. My heart is still afraid, Tae..."
Once bitten, twice shy. Jimin's heart is still a bit distant. He isn't able to give it totally to Yoongi yet. Because if he gets hurt this time, he'd be broken forever. It'd be hard for him to join the pieces of his heart again.
" And about him... I'm afraid how he'll react. What if he doesn't like me and Yoongi being together? "
There's this fear in him that Yoonjun still loves his real omega father and wants him to come back. And he might think of Jimin as an outsider in their life so, he's afraid how the boy might react to the news.
" Bullshit. He'd be the most happy person if you got together. He knows you make Yoongi hyung happy."
Jimin looks up on hearing that. Yes, he makes Yoongi smile. But can Yoonjun really welcome him in his family just because of that?
" And Jimin ah, take as much time as you want. It isn't easy to mend a broken heart. Yoongi hyung would patiently wait for you."
" I know."
He knows, the alpha reminds him this always. And it brings peace to Jimin's mind. Maybe Yoongi would be the one who brings him out of this maze too.
"Yah! I called you so you could help me, but you're making me even late. Choose one fast."
Jimin starts to panic as he sees the time, he successfully wasted half an hour on talking with Taehyung. It's usually longer than this but he needs to cut it short today to make it on time.
" Why are you thinking so much? Just wear anything. You know you'll look good."
Jimin rolls his eyes, if he wanted to wear just anything he'd be ready to go by now.
" I know but I still need to make an impression."
" On who? Yoongi hyung and Yoonjun? They're already head over heels for you."
Jimin feels his cheeks heating up, Taehyung sure knows how to make him blush.
" They're not. And no. I need to make an impression on the teachers and other parents."
Taehyung wanted to tease him more by saying he wants to make a good impression on them for Yoonjun's sake, but this is not the right time for it.
" Fine wear that satin shirt then."
" Are you sure? "
Even though Jimin had asked Taehyung for help, he's still not fully convinced by his choice.
" Yes I'm. And please can I hang up now, I need to get ready too."
" Why? "
" Oh, I need to drive Jungkook to the location of his photoshoot since he doesn't know much about the places here."
Jimin rolls his eyes at Taehyung. The alpha always complain whenever jimin asks him to pick him up but has already became a chauffeur for Jungkook. Talk about being grossly in love..
" Whipped."
" As if you aren't too."
" You're more whipped."
And with that Jimin hung up the call, since he likes having the last words. He could imagine Taehyung whining on the other side and it brought a devilish smile on his face.
" I need to hurry up."
He picks up the outfit suggested by Taehyung and went to change, looking up the clock that told him he has no time to waste.
" Good morning dad."
Jimin greets him as he hurries down the stairs.
Jihoon puts his phone down on hearing his son's voice.
" Morning. You're awake early today."
" Hmm and you're dressed up. Are you finally going on a date? "
Jihoon asks with a smile, hoping that his son is finally interested in finding a partner.
" No, dad. I'm going for a children's sports meet."
The venue didn't quite match with his outfit.
" Ah is it Yoonjun's? "
Jimin is shocked how his father guessed it, but then again how many children does he knows ? Only Yoonjun.
" Yeah."
" You must be going there with Taehyung then."
Jihoon relaxes, if it's Taehyung he doesn't have to be worried about anything. He knows Taehyung acts like a personal bodyguard for Jimin.
" No, Taehyung has something important to take care of."
Jimin could have lied easily, but that would have made matter worse for the time he'll have to reveal the truth about his relationship with Yoongi. So, he decides to come clean today.
" Then it's only gonna be you with Yoonjun and his dad ? "
" Aren't you gonna feel awkward? You don't like hanging out with new people."
Jimin nods his head at that, he isn't fond of hanging out with a stranger. But Yoongi isn't a stranger for him, he wishes he could've told his father that.
" I've met him before. He's a nice person."
Jihoon feels a difference in Jimin's behaviour. He doesn't understand how Jimin can feel so comfortable going to a sports meet for a child he barely knows.
" Jimin-"
" Ah, he's calling me I think he's here to pick me up."
Jimin ignores his fathers calls and instead started walking outside.
" Bye dad."
" Take care and tell Junie that I miss him."
" I will !"
And with that Jimin became out of his sight.
" Jimin ah..."
Jihoon sighs, he doesn't really have a good feeling about this.
" Jiminie!"
Yoonjun gets out of the car to greet Jimin properly.
" Good morning baby."
" You look good."
Yoongi compliments as soon as Jimin sits inside the car, he would have love to open the door for the omega but he was afraid that Jimin's father might see him.
His eyes seemed to be glued to the omega, he doesn't know which feature should he stare at. Jimin's smokey eyes, his shiny lips, or his chests that's exposed by his deep neck top.
" Jiminie looks good everyday."
Yoonjun adds, making Jimin smile.
Yoongi's compliments make Jimin shy and blush, while Yoonjun's compliments make him feel all giddy and happy.
" Thank you."
" But why is your appa dressed like he's going for a jog? "
He speaks after taking a good look at Yoongi's outfit. No doubt Yoongi looked good in that oversized black shirt, black shorts and a snapback. But Jimin thinks it might be too casual for the occasion.
" Because I have to run too."
Yoongi says with a sigh, just thinking about the race gets him on his nerves. Even if you're an athletic person your energy starts to drain once you became a parent. Since all your energy is concentrated on taking care of them.
" There's a race where appa have to run with Junie."
Yoonjun explains making Jimin burst into a big smile. His eyes sparkle like he has been waiting his whole life just for this moment.
" Really? That would be fun to see."
The way Jimin looks at Yoongi only makes him feel more pressurised. Now he needs to make sure he does his best, because he doesn't want to disappoint Jimin.
His alpha is in a competitive mode and he wants to show Jimin that he is a suitable partner for him.
