" Sir, there's someone at the door for you."
Jihoon was reading some official documents on his tablet to keep himself busy till Jimin comes back home when the head servant notified him of someone's arrival. And he knows that someone isn't Jimin.
" Who is it? "
Jihoon asks worriedly. If it was someone familiar the head servant wouldn't come to inform him like this. And no one else would usually come to their house, at least not at this time.
The anxious look on the servant's face only added more to Jihoon's worry.
So, he put his iPad down and walked with fast footsteps directed towards the door.
But by the time he made it to there, the door was already wide opened and the person had already been welcomed inside. Probably because the guards recognised him so, they let him in without much thought.
Jihoon froze on his position when he saw that familiar person standing there. He held onto the nearest thing possible to save himself from dropping down to the ground because of the shock.
" You-"
It didn't take much time for his shock to turn into anger and rage.
He walks with frantic and hurried footsteps. And just as he was close enough to the person, his hands didn't waste a single second before gripping onto his collar.
" WHY ARE YOU HERE? "
He screams at him ruthlessly, not caring what kind of impression he was leaving in front of the servants. His eyes could only focus at the person in front of him that he sensed as a threat to his happy life.
The head servant tried to calm Jihoon down but the elder alpha didn't listen, his eyes only seeing red.
" I told you not to show your face here again. THEN WHY DID YOU COME BACK? "
He shakes him violently, getting impatient when the other person doesn't utter a single word in response and continued to look into his eyes, as if he's staring deep into his soul.
He is the same person who before didn't even had courage to hold an eye contact with him. But now he had the audacity to stare at him while he loses his mind.
" DON'T YOU REMEMBER THE PROMISE YOU MADE- TO NOT SHOW UP IN MY SON'S LIFE AGAIN? "
Jihoon can feel his heart pulsating in his fingertips. He has never been so angry before. But just the face of the alpha standing in front of him is enough to make him go feral.
" TELL ME WHAT DO YOU WANT! "
He shakes him again, on the verge of getting all physical if the alpha still decides to be silent.
" I WON'T LET YOU RUIN MY SON'S LIFE AGAIN."
He starts to get the flashback of his son crying so miserably in his arms. His face turned ashen grey because of what he was going through. It was the second most heartbreaking moment for him after his mate's death. And the reason for that state of his son was standing right in front of him. The person who he doesn't want to see get near his son again.
" WHY AREN'T YOU SAYING ANYTHING ?"
" Sir, please calm down. You'll stress yourself."
The head servant tries to take Jihoon's hand off the person's collar. But Jihoon isn't budging, he feels this immense boost of strength because of the adrenaline rush.
" I can't-- he- WHY AREN'T YOU SAYING ANYTHING? "
He's in such a state of mind right now that if the person keep declining to utter a word he might actually kill him by his own hands.
" DID YOU RUN OUT OF MONEY THAT I GAVE YOU ?"
He calms down a little now. Chuckling as he said his last sentence. To him, it seems like the person is here to beg for his money. This thought made him feel superior to him.
" TELL ME HOW MUCH YOU NEED TO STAY AWAY FROM MY JIMIN'S LIFE."
He doesn't have any issue with paying him any amount of cash as long as he stays away from Jimin's life.
For the first time, the person changes his expression. It goes from blank to dark real quick.
He puts his hands around Jihoon's that held his collar and yanked them away.
He looks straight into Jihoon's eyes as he steps closer to him.
" I'm done running away."
" What? "
Jihoon scoffs at the words he just heard. He couldn't believe how does the alpha dares to go against him like this.
" I said I'm done running away. I won't run away from Jimin anymore."
His tone is calm and composed in front of Jihoon and it distress the elder because of what he has up his sleeves to act like this. Jihoon is afraid of Yoongi for the first time but he won't let it show on his face.
" Keep. My. Son's. Name. Out. Of. Your. Mouth."
He warns with his finger pointing right at his face. But Yoongi isn't afraid of him anymore.
" You have no right to even say his name right now."
Jihoon says in a low deep voice. He's trying to intimidate Yoongi, but it isn't working. This is a different Yoongi than the one he met years ago. He's changed. And Jihoon wonders what made him like this.
Yoongi let out a mocking laugh, a different kind of light igniting in his eyes now. If only Jihoon knew the truth...
" He's my omega."
For the first time Yoongi refer to Jimin as his. He was afraid of doing so before but not anymore. He wants to let everyone know that Jimin belongs to him.
" SHUT UP! HE'S NOT YOURS. NOT ANYMORE."
Jihoon steps away from him. He doesn't want to do something that he might regret later so he walks away from him to calm himself down. It doesn't help much.
" I don't know which fantasy world you're living in. But Jimin HATES you now."
" He hates you so much that if he saw you here right now, he would have closed the door on your face."
Jihoon keeps stating his points in hope that they'll hurt the alpha. But Yoongi has a calm smile on his face, a smile of a person hiding an ace between his cards.
" But he wouldn't hate me if I tell him the truth."
Jihoon is shocked to his core at that, his past is coming back to haunt him. He gasps loudly. If that happens then Jimin-- NO! NO! He doesn't even want to think about that. He wouldn't let something like this happen..
" You wouldn't dare..."
" You promised not to bring THAT UP! "
He rushes to hold Yoongi again, this time his hands tremble from fear that his deeds would be exposed.
" YOU SAID YOU WON'T TELL HIM ANYTHING ABOUT THE CHILD."
He speaks about this matter after so long that the words almost makes him breathless. He vowed to never speak of this topic again, the thing that made his son's life miserable.
" REMEMBER WHAT I CAN DO IF YOU TRY TO GET CLOSE TO HIM."
" YOU AND YOUR CHILD I'LL-"
" You'll what, dad? "
Jihoon's hands unwrapped from Yoongi's collar so fast, his footsteps stumbling back as he heard his son's voice. For the first time ever, he's not happy to hear Jimin's voice.
" J-jimin.."
For the first time he doesn't rush to hug his son, instead he keeps stepping backward to go away from him. While Jimin continues to step forward.
" Why- w-when did you came? "
" I was just telling him to leave because you don't wanna see him anymore."
He starts to act so different than how he was acting before. And it makes Jimin realise how fake his father has always behaved around him. His eyes starts to sting.
" Dad."
He calls for him but the love in his voice has vanished because of the betrayal.
" He ruined your life he shouldn't be here."
It angers him how his father still continues to lie to him when everything is crystal clear.
" Dad."
He calls again, begging him to stop with all his bullshit. But his father doesn't seem to be doing so.
" He made you suff-"
" ENOUGH DAD! "
His loud voice sends a shiver down Jihoon's spine. Jimin raised his voice at him for the first time ever. He has never seen his son so mad. His eyes are red and he can sense what could have made them like that but he doesn't want to believe that.
" HOW LONG ARE YOU PLANNING TO LIE TO ME? "
" L-lie? What lie? I hav-"
" You're lying even now."
Jimin chuckles, he has lost all his energy. He could faint any moment now but he still continues to move forward. He needs to end this all today.
" Tell me, did you have fun playing with my life?"
" Did you enjoy seeing me becoming miserable ? "
" Did you enjoy seeing me cry over my DEAD CHILD-- that... that was never dead?"
He looks at his father with his teary face and the look of love flashes across his face for a second before it's replaced by anger again.
" Jimin ah-"
" STOP! Don't. Don't speak my name from your mouth."
How ironic that he doesn't want to hear his name being called by the person who gave it to him.
" But I'm your dad-"
" Dad? So, now you're my dad ?"
He stare at his father intensely as if wanting to show him all the reasons that he couldn't be called as his father anymore.
" After ruining my life by taking my son and my lover away from me."
" After making my life a living hell- making me live in the guilt of not being able to protect my child--"
" You think you can call yourself a father after DOING ALL THAT! "
Jihoon falls down to the floor now, crying because of the words that Jimin said to him. After Hajun, Jimin is his only family it hurts him so much to hear all this from him.
" I did it for you, baby-"
" You didn't do a shit for me."
His tone shocks even Yoongi. Because Jimin was always an obedient child who never said a single bad word in front of his father but now those words are directed to him.
" If it was for me-- you should've asked me first."
His tone changes to a sad one to show his father what his one lie made him go through.
" Who gave you the rights to take my life decisions?"
" Who gave you the rights to take my happiness away? "
" Baby I did-"
" DON'T! DON'T COME NEAR ME."
Jimin puts his hands in front to stop his father from coming closer to him. He doesn't want to he touched by him ever again.
" I did it to give you happiness, Jimin ah. The b-baby it would have only bounded you, you wouldn't have been able to achieve your dreams now."
" Remember the scholarship that you always wanted. You finally got it but still rejected it because you were pregnant."
" You couldn't fulfill your dreams because of THIS MAN."
He stands up, pointing at Yoongi.
" He did it purposely to bound you to him, so he could enjoy your money-"
He was walking so fast that Yoongi was sure he was going to experience a strong impact soon. But when he opened his eyes he only saw Jimin's back in front of him.
He stood there like a shield to protect him from his own father.
" DON'T YOU SPEAK LIKE THAT ABOUT YOONGI! "
" You're going against your father for him. For this lowly al-"
" HE'S MY ALPHA! YOU DON'T HAVE ANY RIGHT TO DISRESPECT HIM."
Jihoon is in complete shock by now. The Jimin he knew, his beloved son, it's all gone in a flash. This is someone else, someone who he doesn't know.
" YOU ACTUALLY DIDN'T HAVE ANY RIGHT TO DO WHAT YOU DID WITH MY LIFE."
" YOU TOOK MY CHILD AWAY FROM ME. MY OWN BABY- I NEVER GOT TO HOLD HIM IN MY ARMS..."
It bring him a nauseating feeling just thinking about the happy time he could have spent with his child but wasn't able to because of his father.
" I lived in the guilt for years only to know it was a lie. IT WAS A FUCKING LIE."
A lie that left a big hole in his heart that can never be filled ever again, he'd have to continue living with this suffering.
" How would you have felt if I never came into your life?"
His one question is enough to drain all colours from Jihoon's face. A world without his Jimin-- he doesn't want to imagine that.
" I hope papa was alive today, he'd have never let me suffer this much."
Jihoon's heart stops beating at that statement. And maybe for the first time he starts feeling guilty for his actions. And seeing the wrong he did. He sees how he has failed as a father.
" I am breaking all my ties with you today... You're no longer my dad."
" Jimin ah, w-what are you saying ?"
He takes a step closer to Jimin, opposite to that Jimin took four steps backward.
" Dad's sorry. P-please let me explain."
" My dad's already dead for me."
And with that he turns around to walk away from there. His hand around Yoongi's wrist as he pulls the alpha with him to show his father where he really belongs.
" JIMIN AH. DON'T GO! I'LL DIE WITHOUT YOU! "
He runs after his son, but the tears in his eyes makes it hard for him to see.
" JIMIN AH! "
He leaps all his way towards the car, to stop Jimin. But he wasn't able to do so. Jimin was already inside with the doors locked.
" BABY, LISTEN TO ME JUST ONE TIME !"
He slams his hands to the car window but Jimin doesn't look at him or roll the window down to hear him.
" Jim-"
Yoongi tries to seeing the pitiful state of his dad. Even though Yoongi hates him he couldn't see him in such a state.
" Start the car."
Jimin orders him with his eyes closed. He's afraid that his heart might melt if he sees his father like that.
" But- okay."
Yoongi had to agree because he knows it's hard for Jimin too, and forcing him into doing something would only makes matter much worse.
" JIMIN, STOP! MY BABY! JIMIN AHH! "
His father cries for him as Jimin goes away from his house, and his life too. His Jiminie that was the last hope of his life. Now that the light has gone away from his life, it's so dark. Everything is so dark without him...
