Sitting inside the car, with so many thoughts going in his head, all at the same time; Jimin's eyes seem to be staring into nothingness. He slowly starts to fade into a part of his brain that he had closed years ago.
Only he knows how much courage he needed to finally open this door that sealed all his hurtful memories.
His hand found his way to his flat belly that used to be round and full at some point of his life.
With a deep sigh, he finally enters that subconscious part of his mind. He needs to visit it before he could finally close his past chapters fully for a new future.
Once the door opens, he found himself standing in a room that was pitch black. He couldn't see anything around him and the darkness started to scare him. He was about to back off when a small light entered the room.
It revolved around Jimin as if asking him to follow it. And Jimin did. While following the light, it brought jimin back to that time when it all started, when a new chapter was added into his life book.
He remembers the feeling of nausea and tiredness that he had gone through for some days. He initially regarded it as a sign of overworking, until he noticed that even his heat was late. After that it didn't took him long to figure out the real reason behind it.
Just thinking about the possibility of him being pregnant-- it overwhelmed Jimin a lot. It was a huge responsibility and he didn't think he was ready to take it.
But the only thing that brought peace to his mind at the tense moment was that he knew, no matter what decision he would make, Yoongi would be there for him at the end of the day.
And the alpha proved it to him too. He was not mad or upset after finding out, like one would expect considering it was unplanned.
Instead he was happy, engulfing Jimin in his arms as soon as the news was broken to him. He hugged Jimin so tightly and told him how happy he was.
But even if he did want to keep the child, he still gave Jimin the right to decide.
He told him that he'd be there for Jimin for any decision that he makes, because at the end of the day it'd be Jimin's life that'd be largely affected by it. So, only Jimin can make the decision.
Jimin still had a few months left to graduate from the university while Yoongi has already taken up an office job after his graduation. There condition didn't favour it much.
There were many thoughts going inside Jimin's head at that moment. Feeling more pressured, now that the decision making power rested in his hands. And even though he was afraid of the future, he had already decided what he wanted to do.
So, the very next weekend Jimin brought Yoongi home to his father. His father has known that he was dating someone, but this was the first time he brought Yoongi home to meet him. And well, to give him a bigger surprise that he wasn't expecting.
Jihoon was shocked, it was evident on his wrinkled face. Shock was an understatement, his face looked ashen grey like a corpse. He was in disbelief, not wanting to accept the reality.
He looked at his son with a helpless face like Jimin's life just got ruined and he wasn't able to help him.
But Jimin was happy with the decision he made, he wanted to keep the baby. His and Yoongi's child. He stayed intact in his position with his hand clasped together with Yoongi's while his father gave them a angry look.
But the determination in Jimin's eyes, stopped Jihoon from saying something harsh. He was afraid of what Jimin might do if he doesn't give him his approval. So, in the end for the sake of his son, he had to give him blessings to them.
Jimin still remembered how tightly he hugged his father that day and thanked him for understanding him. If only he knew the reality at that time...
As the weeks went by, it started to become hard for Jimin to stay without his alpha. He was still living in his father's house while Yoongi lived at his apartment. The alpha would drop by after his work to meet Jimin but it just wasn't enough for him.
His need and crave for Yoongi increase tenfold now that he was pregnant with his child.
So, Jimin decided it would be better for him to just live with Yoongi. But his father was against that idea and persuaded him to ask Yoongi to live with them instead.
He said how Jimin would need someone to take care of him when Yoongi goes to his work and there were servants for him here. And even Yoongi obliged with that. So, he decided to stay with the Parks for the time being.
He soon settled into Jimin's room, that was as big as his apartment. Jimin emptied half of his closet for him to keep his clothes in and he even added few more shelves so Yoongi can put some of his things there to make it feel like home. But for Yoongi he didn't need to put anything, to him home was a place where his Jimin was.
The news of Jimin expecting a child was only known to Jihoon, Yoongi and the house servants.
Since Taehyung was abroad for his study program, Jihoon has suggested to keep it a, secret from him. Or the alpha would come running home if he got to know about Jimin's condition.
And Jimin also agreed on that, it'd make him feel guilty if Taehyung abandoned his studies just for him. After all he had Yoongi and his father to take care of him so, Taehyung doesn't need to come here.
Even though Jimin was desperate to share this happy news with his best friend he held himself back and decided to keep it a secret until Taehyung comes back. He knew his friend would he mad and upset but there's nothing his puppy eyes wouldn't able to solve.
And knowing Taehyung he would melt as soon as he lays his eyes on the child, so Jimin didn't have much to worry about.
He wore loose fitted clothes to hide his baby bump in the university. Despite being busy, Yoongi made sure to always come to fetch him after his classes were over and they would take stroll by the Han river while planning about their future.
By the time Jimin was free from his university he was already in his seventh month. Since he didn't have much to do nowadays, he'd only wait for Yoongi to come back home so he could hear the alpha rant about his busy day.
He'd only wear clothes that were covered in Yoongi's scent and get irritated even by the smallest things. Like this one time when he threw a fit because Yoongi came home smelling like another omega and Yoongi tried to tell him, it was his co worker's daughter. But Jimin didn't want to listen.
Yoongi had to take three consecutive baths to get rid of the scent, then only Jimin let him inside their bedroom.
They had already prepared a big closet with clothes and toys for their baby. Baby things were sprawled all across Jimin's room and they even put some things like crib in Yoongi's house too because Jimin said he'll move there after the birth of their child.
But the happy moments aren't meant to last long and the next thing that flashes in Jimin's mind after the happy moments, is the time he woke up from his long sleep with his body still aching.
It was too bright for his eyes, so it took him time to finally open them to their full extent. Once he did he looked around himself to see the plain white walls, that were so different than his lively room.
There was an IV drip attached to his hand and the constant beeping from the machines around him troubled him very much.
Fighting through his irritation and pain, he managed to put his hand on his now flat bump, his heart beat raced as he looked around him for his child. His omega got restless on seeing no crib in his sight.
He tried to relax himself by saying maybe his child in another room, but his wolf would only calm down once he gets to see his child in front of his eyes.
He managed to stand up from his lying position, head aching from all the anesthesia. He even pulled out the IV drip and was ready to go out but his body didn't complied.
His head started feeling dizzy as soon as he stood up and he had to sit down again on the bed to keep himself from loosing consciousness.
As if feeling his son's restlessness, Jihoon enters the room with a worried face. He rushed to Jimin's side and hugged him lightly, being careful of his condition.
But Jimin pushed him away, he wanted his child right now. Nothing mattered to him more than his child at the moment, not even his beloved father.
He begged his father with tears rolling down his cheeks to take him to his child. But his father only shook his head, many failed attempts to calm him down before he had to finally break down the most heartbreaking news to him.
" Your child... it didn't make it, Jimin ah."
Everything around Jimin went silent, even the beeping of the machine and the voice of his father starts to fade. The tears stopped all together as Jimin stared at the nothingness. And soon everything around him went blank.
It was as if his soul was detached from his body and floating in the free space. The emotional pain he experienced that day was the more painful than any physical pain. He had again lost someone so close to his heart.
He thought loosing his father was the most heartbreaking moment, but when he heard the news of his child's death he felt like his child took his soul away too. He never knew he'd get this much attached to someone who he hasn't even met.
But then again his child was a piece of him, of course he would feel this way.
" Jimin ah"
He hears his father calling for him. But it only brought anger to him.
" Jim-"
" Jimin ah! "
Jimin shot his eyes open when he heard Yoongi's voice. He inhales sharply after that as if he has stopped breathing for a minute and there was no air left in his lungs.
He looks at Yoongi with his hazy view that made him realise he was already crying.
" Calm down, everything's fine."
Yoongi pulls Jimin closer to himself, placing Jimin's head on his chest. Moving his hand slowly and gently over Jimin's shaking frame
He kept doing it until Jimin's soft sniffles came to an end. Once he felt okay Jimin released himself from Yoongi's hold, getting back to his initial position he didn't say anything.
" Here, take it."
Yoongi pushes his handkerchief in Jimin's direction. The omega hesitated a bit before taking it.
" Are you okay? Do you need anything? "
Jimin shook his head to that.
Before Yoongi can ask Jimin anything more his phone buzzed. It was Taehyung, and it reminded Yoongi that Yoonjun was still with him.
" Taehyung ah- oh you're at my house? "
He feels sorry for not informing the alpha that he wasn't at his house.
" Yeah, I'll be there soon, can you ask Jungkook to stay with Junie tonight ? Thank you."
He sighed after coming to know that Yoonjun had already fallen asleep on their way back. If not he would have asked countless question why Yoongi wasn't home.
He turns his body towards Jimin. Right now, the omega needs him the most and he can't leave him in such a vulnerable state. He knows Yoonjun would be fine with Jungkook.
" Do you maybe wanna take a walk? To calm your mind? "
He waited for Jimin's reply patiently, if Jimin rejected the offer Yoongi would understand. After all, he was given the biggest shock of his life, his whole life changed in an instant.
Jimin sucks in his tears and nodded weakly to Yoongi's suggestion. A smile creeping on Yoongi's face at that. He was happy that the omega didn't push him away anymore. It made him feel that their bond might be stronger than before.
Because the Jimin that he knew would have pushed him away in just a situation, but this Jimin didn't. Maybe because he has seen the immense love Yoongi has for him even if he didn't say it verbally. And that's what made their bond so strong this time.
