Jimin writhe on his seat, his going back and forth from looking forward to look down at his trembling fingers. He tries to be patient while waiting for them to come back, but it's real hard to do so with all the potential scenarios that are going on his head.
He couldn't even hear any of their voices, like they weren't saying anything on purpose.
When his dad came here before Taehyung didn't even open the door for him. He politely asked him to go away through his monitor and then came back to hug Jimin.
But this time it was taking awfully long, it made Jimin feel uneasy. He doesn't even know what his dad is capable of doing anymore. So, with his thumping heart he decided to check it himself.
If it's his father he'd straightforwardly tell him to leave and close the door on his face, he doesn't want to do anything with him now.
When he reached the hallway with his shaky frame, the door was already closed. His eyes look down from the wooden door to look at Jungkook and Taehyung who were squatted down there in front of the door.
He found it quite amusing. He tried to listen to their low whispers but wasn't quite able to do well so, he decided to get closer to them find out what was actually happening.
He had only taken three steps closer and another was on it's way when he completely froze mid air.
His before progressing steps starts to go back once he caught the glimpse of a very familiar face.
He thought it might be his hallucination or maybe he was still in Taehyung's bed, sleeping and dreaming all this.
His footsteps starts to go back a little faster then he intended which made him collide with the fall. A simple groan is left out of his lips at the impact which turns the three heads towards him.
Jimin was still trying to regard it all as his delusion until he saw those eyes bright looking at him with so much emotions in them. The frown on the child's face is turned into a big smile.
Jimin still argued with himself that it was just a dream, until he finally heard the voice that he have been hearing in his dream frequently. And his brain finally confirmed, that it was very real and not just a part of his fiction world.
" Jiminie."
The child's voice is merely a whisper. It's different than how he usually greets Jimin with his cheery and loud voice. But the excitement and happiness is still there, even though his tone had changed a bit. It's more warmer and calm than before.
Jungkook and Taehyung look at each other nervously at Jimin's stunned state. They were thinking about how they would break the news to Jimin but now they don't have to do anything. So, they quietly dragged themselves away towards one corner of the house so the two could reunite.
Jimin was so shaken up by the sudden shock that he didn't even dare to take a step closer. He continued to believe that it was all a dream, that Yoonjun was not there, that he was just hallucinating it all because he missed him-
His thoughts halted when Yoonjun's warm arms are wrapped around his cold and numb lower body. A sudden bloom of heat spread through his body from Yoonjun's touch.
It made him realize how it all was real. How Yoonjun was real and this wasn't a dream anymore. Because in his dreams he'd always wake up before he could actually reach out his hand to touch him. His dreams that always left him yearning for more.
" Jiminie."
The boy whispers again and this time Jimin lost all his control, Jimin couldn't stop his emotions from being all over himself. He was very overwhelmed.
In his such state he fell down to his knees, taking Yoonjun's small face between his own hands to inspect it. Once he made sure that the boy was all okay, he put his hand behind his head and pulled him closer so that his little head would rest on his chest.
He tried to be strong and not get emotional, but it's very hard. It's hard to act strong when he's not. So, he stops acting and let his tears flow. He didn't try to suppress his cries either.
He let out loud crying and wailings that were trapped in his heart for a week now. Hearing Jimin break down Yoonjun starts to sniffle too. Their harmonious cries made Jungkook and Taehyung teary eyed too.
" Jun ah.."
He calls for him with pure love in his voice. He already loved Yoonjun before the truth, but now his love has a different flavor to it, the flavor of parenthood.
" My b-baby...my Yoonjun."
Jimin has started to regard Yoonjun as his own a long time ago but it feels different now that he knows he really belongs to him. That he really is his son, his own blood.
He is the child that Jimin never got to hold in his arms even though he was the one who brought him into this world. He has regret about the years he couldn't hold him, so he tries to erase them by holding him so close to himself that they become one.
He holds Yoonjun's shirt tightly in his hand. Not wanting to let go. It's like they're playing a game of who would let go first because clearly none of them want to let go.
Yoonjun continues to let out soft mewls like a happy child that showed how satisfied he was now that he was back again in his Jiminie's arm, whom he missed a lot.
They are all they need at the moment and they can spend their whole life just like this, happy to be reunited with each other.
One of the reasons why Jimin is not separating from the hug is that he doesn't think he have the courage to look into Yoonjun's eyes.
How would he stop himself from wanting more after knowing he is Yoonjun's father? He would only want more from the boy, crave his love more. And his possessive omega side would take over him, scenting his child all over.
How would he explain this behavior to Yoonjun? It was partially the reason why Jimin didn't contact Yoonjun during this time. Because he knows himself very well. Knows how he would only want more and more of his son after getting to meet him one time.
But what shocked him so much, to even stop the flow of tears were the words that Yoonjun said next. Not only Jimin but Taehyung and Jungkook were shocked too.
" P-papa."
The little boy whispered again. His one word made Jimin freeze, his eyes saw white as if everything around him just vanished. His hands lost their grip on the boy and Yoonjun saw this as a chance to separate himself from the hug so he could look at Jimin, the face he has been missing a lot nowadays.
The omega didn't have anything to say, his lips declining to move. He was nervous how Yoonjun might react to the news pf him being his real father but what he never thought in his wildest dream was for Yoonjun to suddenly show up here and regard him as his father by himself.
It made Jimin feel a different kind of emotion that he didn't think he was capable of feeling. It wasn't just love it was something more than that, something so big that his heart can't contain it in itself so it spread all throughout his body.
" What did you say? "
He heard him loud and clear the first time, but he wants to confirm if he really said that. Or was it one of his auditory hallucinations that made him listen what he was wanting to hear.
" Papa."
The boy says again, this time more confidently. And Jimin wants to ask him to repeat it again and again. He wants to spend his whole life just hearing Yoonjun call him that.
" Jiminie is Junie's papa."
He smiles brightly after saying that, his eyes turning crescent moon like Jimin's and his gummy smile that exposed his gums just like Yoongi. If Jimin still had any doubt it all vanished in thin air by now.
Yoonjun is his and Yoongi's son. Yoonjun is their child, their little miracle, their bundle of joy.
" H-how? "
Jimin is afraid if his father is the reason why Yoonjun knows the reality. Did he really go to Yoongi's house and created a scene there? Was that how Yoonjun came to know? If this was the case Jimin only saw red for his father now. All the leftover respect would just flush away from his heart.
" Appa told me Jiminie is Junie's papa."
That's not what Jimin was expecting. Telling such a big news to a child can be very troublesome and Jimin thought Yoongi wouldn't be able to do it alone.
Jimin felt like it was Yoongi's way of saying that he was the one who created this mess so he would be the one to solve it too.
" Your a-appa? "
Yoonjun nods to that question, not understanding Jimin's reaction behind that. He is still little to understand what kind of emotions Jimin is experiencing.
" Junie how did you come here? "
Taehyung asks seeing Jimin was too dazed to say anything more. And this question has been on his tongue for so long, because he was shocked to see Yoonjun standing alone outside his house at this time of night. He was afraid if the child has ran away from his home without informing Yoongi.
" Appa came to drop Junie here."
There's a bitter tone in his voice as he says that and soon the boy is frowning at the mention of his father.
" Where is he now? "
Jungkook asks a little surprised that he didn't come inside himself and just left Yoonjun alone out there.
" Junie told him to go away."
The boy huffs in a breath and stomps his little feet in frustration.
Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin all gave each other's looks at his little tantrum.
" Why? "
" Because appa is bad, he lied to Junie."
Jimin gasps after hearing that. His heart breaks into many pieces when he heard Yoonjun say that about Yoongi.
" He said he lied to Jiminie too, appa is not a good person."
Jimin can feel his eyes watering again, but this time the tears prickle his eyes.
This all is a misunderstanding, Yoonjun is misunderstanding Yoongi just like he did years ago and he regrets it so much now.
But he won't let it happen again. He won't let Yoongi get misunderstood again, he won't let Yoonjun hate his father when he's not the one at fault, but the one who suffered the most.
" Taehyung ah, I think we have to cancel our movie plan tonight. I'll take him to your room."
He sees how the boy is so needy of his attention now and Jimin understands his feelings. He feels the same way. His omega is at discomfort after separating from Yoonjun even for a second.
" Okay."
Taehyung and Jungkook both agrees seeing that that's what they both needed the most right now.
" Sorry Jungkook."
Jungkook shook his head at that and smiled to let him know it's okay.
Jimin put his hand out for Yoonjun to hold it and brought him upstairs to Taehyung's room, that's basically his room by now.
Once they are inside Yoonjun looks at Jimin again with his big eyes.
" Papa can I hug you again? "
Jimin melts when Yoonjun asks him that. Does the boy think he'll get mad if he do that? They still need to have a lot of talking so they would be able to see each other's raw and true feelings.
" Of course, you don't have to ask me."
With that he bends down and opens his arms for the child to settle in. Yoonjun puts his head on the crook of Jimin's neck.
The boy feels safe in Jimin's arms and it's clear from his expression. It's a big compliment for Jimin.
" I missed you so much."
Jimin actually wants to say so much more but he isn't capable of doing so right now. He doesn't think he could convey his actual feelings in a verbal form so he just opts for holding him more closer to him.
" I missed you too."
Yoonjun melts in Jimin's hold. He doesn't feel anxious or nervous being with Jimin even after knowing the difference in their relationship.
It's like there were no separations between them and they are just meeting each other again after a week, like Yoonjun has known Jimin to be his father for a long time.
" But why did you not come to see Junie ? "
He pouts, he have been waiting patiently for Jimin to come and spend time with him like they did for weeks.
But suddenly after the night he went to watch movie with Taehyung and Jungkook, Jimin didn't come to see him after that and nor his father would take him to meet Jimin. It was such an emotionally draining situation for him to be separated for Jimin.
He felt the same way about his separation from Jimin like he would feel about his separation from Yoongi.
" You didn't even call...."
He was stuck by the phone's side for hours waiting it to rong, but Jimin never called him and it made him feel sad and neglected.
" I'm sorry baby. I-i was sick."
Jimin says as he couldn't find the accurate words to express his situation. He couldn't tell him the inner turmoil he was in because it'd only complicate the things for him.
" Papa sick?"
The boy starts to get worried after hearing that, he put his hand on Jimin's head to check for his temperature.
" Don't worry now that you're here I'm okay."
Jimin takes Yoonjun's hand off his forehead and instead held them in his hands. He's finally okay.
" Jiminie..."
Jimin saw the tired look on his face so he took a seat on the bed first and gestured the boy to come sit next to him.
But instead of sitting next to him, Yoonjun crawls into his lap and lay his down like a little puppy, curling into himself to adjust into the tight space.
" Junie is very happy that you're my papa."
He holds Jimin's waist and nuzzled his face in Jimin's belly. Jimin's all worries that came with the truth being revealed to Yoonjun starts to vanish.
He was afraid if Yoonjun would accept him right away or not but it seems like it was something that the boy has always wanted, for Jimin to become his parent, not knowing he was actually his parent.
" And I'm very happy that you're my son."
He couldn't have asked for a more perfect son. His life now revolves around Yoonjun now. Yoonjun is his earth and he'll always be his moon.
" Now children won't make fun of Junie for not having a papa."
It breaks Jimin's heart to hear that. His baby suffered had to suffer too, just because of his selfish father.
" I won't let anyone make fun of you."
He wraps his hand around him in a protective manner. He won't let anyone separate them anymore, he'll protect Yoongi and their son from now on. He'll become a shield for them.
" How's your appa doing? "
He bites on his bottom lip. It's been a week since he last saw Yoongi too and he's missing the alpha so much. His omega is dying to just bury himself in his alpha's sturdy arms and cry until he feels okay.
" Junie don't wanna talk about appa."
" No, baby-"
Jimin tries but Yoonjun is still angry at Yoongi because of the mis information.
" Appa is a liar, appa promised he'd never keep a secret from me. But appa did-- appa is a bad person."
Jimin can hear the sadness in Yoonjun's voice, it's the same kinda hurt he felt when he came to know about his own father's betrayal. But the biggest difference between them is Yoongi is being misunderstood, while his father is clearly at fault.
" He's not-"
" He is. Junie don't wanna live with him anymore. Junie will live with his papa from now on."
The boy starts to hyperventilate while saying all that and Jimin quickly calm him down by covering him in the safety of his arms. Knowing it won't be good to continue the conversation right now, he decides to drop it for now.
" Calm down baby. Shh."
He one hand stroke his head while the other pat his back.
" Did you eat your dinner yet? "
He nods at the question and Jimin feels grateful for that.
" Junie eyes are closing."
The boy says cutely, scrunching his button nose that made him look like Yoongi more.
" Then why aren't you sleeping? "
" Junie afraid papa would go away."
Jimin's heart hurts, he can understand the fear the boy might have in his heart. But he wants to let him know that he'd never ever leave him again.
" I-i would never do that. I would never leave my baby again."
Never again. Not even if the whole world tries to separate them apart. He'd be by his son's side as long as he could.
" Promise? "
The boy held out his little finger.
" Promise."
Jimin interlocked his own finger with Yoonjun to seal their promise, a promise to always stay by each other's side.
" Good night, papa."
The boy says before he's sucked in the deep embrace of Jimin's arms.
" Good night, baby."
Jimin holds him so tightly yet so delicately, his face has a satisfied smile on his face that was lost for a week now.
He strokes his head lovingly and plants a kiss on top.
His heart his full of love today. His face has a beautiful satisfied smile today, all because of his son. And he'd like it to be the same for the next upcoming years of his life. His life with his beloved son.
