Jimin stays frozen outside Yoongi's door. It has been a week since he came here but it felt like he was just here yesterday. The events starts to play in his minds once again to distract him; the screaming crying, the betrayal, all that he experienced in the span of one night.
He breaths in deeply, he's stronger now. He have much more control over himself to shake the unnecessary thoughts away.
He has already dealt with them for a very and he won't let those moment haunt him for forever. He takes in a deep breath to freshen up his mind.
His hands lingers at the doorbell, if Yoongi is sick he doesn't think he should make him open the door. So, he decides to just let himself in. It's not like Yoongi would mind.
The door opens with a creak and Jimin bites his tongue in frustration. He stood like that with door half opened and one foot inside waiting for Yoongi to say something at the noise. But when no voice came Jimin deduced Yoongi must be asleep.
So, he finally steps inside with being careful to not make anymore noise this time.
He tiptoes inside the house. His feet stops moving in shook when he looks at the situation of the house. It was quite.... messy.
There were several things sprawled all over the floor like the cushions, some toys, a few empty cans and bits of paper. The mess shocked Jimin very much. Because knowing the alpha, Yoongi likes to maintain a neat environment around himself and this was something the alpha would really hate.
Seeing this view it felt like the house has witnessed an intense fight here and it made Jimin think if it was done by Yoonjun after Yoongi told him the truth. He starts to feel guilty now, like it was partially his fault things turned out this way.
He was going to pick the things up but then decided he should check on Yoongi first. That's more important than cleaning right now.
He walks slowly to Yoongi's room. He put his hand around the knob and twisted it slowly, but didn't has enough courage to push it open.... until Yoongi's voice is heard from inside calling him.
" Jimin ah? "
Jimin's pupils dilate when he hears Yoongi's voice after a whole week. His voice is still so sweet as ever, it has the same longing that Jimin has in his heart.
The omega swallows the lump in his throat and finally pushes the door open.
The alpha must have felt his presence there, but how he did that... it's unexplainable. It's just the bond between them, a special one.
He steps inside with eyes still on the floor, he was feeling a little guilty for being the reason Yoonjun fought with Yoongi. If only he had gathered his feelings a little sooner he could have been the one to break the news to Yoonjun and the father son relationship wouldn't have been affected like this.
" Min ah."
Yoongi tries to keep his voice as soft as possible but it's hard because of his hurting throat caused by the stupid cold, that he caught last night while taking a night walk.
Jimin looks up on hearing Yoongi's broken voice. Yoongi had already sat up from his lying position, he has smile on his face but his eyes were crying.
And even though Jimin wasn't initially crying he started to cry now. Yoongi has always been his strength so, seeing Yoongi cry always make him tear up to.
He forgets all the guilt and unnecessary thoughts for now and instead ran into Yoongi's arm. He wants the comfort of his alpha embrace right now and nothing more than that. He knows how restless his omega was being away from Yoongi and he finally feels relaxed now.
Yoongi felt the same way too, all he wanted to do was run to Jimin because he missed him so much. This whole week was tougher than those years.
They both stayed like that for a very long time making up for the time they lost. Not just this one week but the past years they spent away from each other. Even though Jimin's heart was filled with hatred towards Yoongi at that time, it didn't stop him from missing the aloha.
His body would crave for him, would only think about him, would flashes those happy memories that they created together. It was one of the reasons Jimin couldn't move on, because he felt like he wasn't ready to give his heart to anybody else.
But now he knows why-- because his heart always belonged to Yoongi and it'll continue to do so.
" Your tears stained my shirt."
Yoongi jokes making Jimin crack a smile amidst of his tears.
He looked at Yoongi once again and started to cry again, but Yoongi wiped the tears off quickly this time. His hand rested on Jimin's cheek and that's when it striked him how hot Yoongi's body was.
" Hyung, you're burning..."
Jimin says worriedly to which Yoongi only smiled.
" My body is just too happy to see you."
Jimin rolls his eyes at that, no matter how much sweet the line is, it isn't the suitable time to say it. Yoongi is sick and he is trying to divert Jimin's mind from that so, he won't be worried.
" Stay here."
Jimin warns him before he heads out of the room.
After some time, he came back with a tub full ice water and a cloth in his hand. He placed the tub on the side table and sat next to Yoongi. Helping him to lay down again.
" I'm fine-"
Yoongi tried to stop him but Jimin put his finger to his lips and made Yoongi shut up in an instance. Even the alpha becomes submissive in front of his angry omega.
Jimin dipped the cloth in water and then put it on Yoongi's forehead. Yoongi let's out a little whimper because of how it stung. But soon his eyes closed after the sensation became less painful and more relaxing.
" How do you feel now? "
Jimin asks after doing so for almost ten minutes, the redness in Yoongi's face has seem to go away a little.
" I'm all good after seeing your face."
Yoongi still dares to flirt with Jimin in a situation like this. He knows the omega always gets worried whenever someone is sick, even if it's a little cold. So he wants to play it cool to stop Jimin from worrying too much about him.
When he looks up at the omega's face, expecting Jimin to be mad at his line; he instead finds Jimin trying his beat to hold back his tears instead.
Yoongi put the cloth away from his head and sat up straight, worried that he did something wrong to upset Jimin.
" Jimin ah, what happened? "
He holds Jimin's face in his hands, the omega's hot tears burns on his hands.
Jimin looks up with his wet eyelashes, tears rolling down his cheeks like white pearls.
" Hyung, why did you tell Y-yoonjun that it was your fault? "
Yoongi looked away from Jimin's eyes at that question, he knew the omega would be mad at him for doing so, but he needed to take the weight off his chest by telling Yoonjun the reality.
" Because it was."
Jimin shakes his head frantically at that.
" No, hyung. It wasn't. It wasn't your fault."
Jimin starts to feel angry because why does Yoongi think it's his fault when it's not. The past week he has been through number of scenarios of what ifs. He even tried to put himself in Yoongi's place and found how he would have done the same because their child was at danger that time.
" It was that person's fault, the one who ruined my life."
The only one at fault was Jihoon and Yoongi was a victim of him just like Jimin. Actually Yoongi suffered so much too.... Taking your child away from your lover against your will, taking care of your child while being constantly reminded of your lover you left behind and how you could had it all. It was so much worse to live with all the guilt.
" Jimin ah, don't say things like that -"
" - he's your father."
Even though Jihoon is the bad guy here, Yoongi couldn't help but sympathies with him. He understands that all he wanted was for Jimin to have a secured future which he thought Yoongi wasn't able to give him.
" NO! "
Jimin shakes Yoongi by his loud scream. His eyes glow red.
"He's. Not. My. Father. Anymore."
He feels better to regard himself as an orphan now. His dad died to him the day he thought it was okay to take his child away from him. The gods had already taken then title of parent away from him when he decided of doing something inhumane.
" My dad wouldn't have done something that hurtful to me."
Nobody's parent would do something like that and if they did... they aren't worthy of being called a parent anymore.
" He ruined my whole life, Yoongi."
His everything was, ruined because of one lie. People would hesitate to do something like this to their worst enemy too, yet his father didn't think twice and now had any regrets while seekng Jimin suffer because of that lie.
" My baby- my Junie, he made him go away from me."
Jimin wails, crumbling Yoongi's shirt under his tight fist.
" My father wouldn't dare to do such a thing."
If his papa was alive today, things wouldn't have come this far. He knows his father wouldn't have let him suffer this much. He would have protected him from all the hurt and pain he experienced.
" Jimin ah..."
Jimin wipes his tears away, he doesn't want to think about his father anymore. It only brings pain to his heart, he is a past now and Jimin wants to focus on mending his present instead. So, he can have a happy future together with Yoongi and Yoonjun.
" Hyung why did you lie to Yoonjun? Why didn't you tell him the whole truth? "
Jimin asks with a weak voice.
Yoongi could have easily lied and tell Yoonjun a made up story but he isn't a liar like Jihoon.
" He hates you now... He has misunderstood you like I-- i did back then."
It broke Jimin's heart when he heard Yoonjun say all those things about Yoongi with that look in his eyes.. But Jimin also saw how saying it all, hurted the boy too.
" Because he deserved to know the truth."
Yoongi sighs.
" He deserved to know that you're his father."
Yes, he could've lied and told Yoonjun a made up story that was more easy to believe. But it'd have tarnished their relationship when Yoonjun would come to know Yoongi had lied to him. So, he decided it'd be better to come clean even though it might put their perfect relationship in danger.
" And it's not a lie... It was my fault too, for keeping you both in dark. I should have told you the truth the day we met. If I did-- things wouldn't have been that bad."
He was so shocked that day that he wasn't able to believe it was really Jimin. Never in his wildest dreams he thought he'd really be meeting Jimin again.
And it really made him tongue tied, he had so many words, so many explanations to make yet he couldn't say any of them. He couldn't even say sorry to him.
" But I was afraid..."
He was afraid of Jimin's reaction more than he was afraid of what Jimin's father would do. This fear was what lead him to wait for the perfect opportunity before letting out the truth that would shake their whole world.
" And you needed Yoonjun more than me at this moment. I know only he could stop you from going into darkness again.
So, I brought him to Taehyung's home after telling him the truth."
When he saw the text messages from Jungkook about how Jimin still refused to eat and was confined in the room only, Yoongi decided he had to do something.
So, he sat Yoonjun in front of him and told him the truth bit by bit. The boy didn't understand at first, he almost thought it was a lie until Yoongi started to tear up and Yoonjun realised it was all true.
And as expected the boy was very angry. He threw the things here and there before saying mean things directed at Yoongi but Yoongi bore it all for Jimin's sake. The whole ride to Taehyung's house was the first where Yoonjun didn't utter a single word to Yoongi. And it made Yoongi so miserable but he tried to hold on.
And when they reached the house Yoonjun got out, and asked him to go away without even looking at him. It hurted him so bad.
" And it worked... You and Yoonjun- you both were so happy with each other."
He remember the picture Jungkook sent him this morning, oh, how happy he was at that even though his whole body was in pain because of the fever.
He was so happy seeing his two stars smiling with each other. He was a bit worried how Jimin would handle Yoonjun but it seemed like in the end everything worked out for them.
" Our real happiness lies with you hyung. We both are incomplete without you."
Jimin says sensing how Yoongi thinks he shouldn't be in the picture and that they're better off without him. But that's far away from the truth.
" Yoonjun must have said some hurtful words in the heat of the moment but we both know he didn't mean that. He loves you so much he could never hate you."
Yoonjun could never hate Yoongi, he loves him too much to do so. He respects him. It's just his mind was fogged by the misunderstanding at that time. Someone needs to clear it and Jimin would be that someone.
" This time I'll tell him the truth, I'll tell him how it wasn't your fault... How you were just trying to save us both."
" Jimin ah-"
" Shh, I wont hear any arguments."
He will tell him the truth. He can't let his son hate his father like this. He'll do anything to reveal the truth to Yoonjun.
" Hyung..."
He starts intertwining his one hand with Yoongi while he put the other hand on Yoongi's wet cheek.
" Promise me one thing."
Yoongi looks up he's ready to say yes even before Jimin tells him the truth.
" You won't fight on our own anymore. Whatever the problem may be, no matter how small or big. You would tell it to me and then we'll face it together."
Yoongi nods at that, a smile on his face because the promise sounds like a wedding vow to him.
" I promise, Min ah. I won't hide anything from you anymore."
He has learnt his lesson one time, so he won't do anything that would hurt his Jiminie.
" Then seal the promise."
Jimin says with a sly smile on his face.
" Huh? "
Yoongi is confused what Jimin means by that. Seal the promise? Like the children do by brushing their palms together?
All his confusion fades away once Jimin leans in closer to his face. The omega blushes and giggles at Yoongi's confused face before he connects their lips together as a form of sealing their promise.
This wasn't how I originally planned this event though, let me show you how the first draft was. 💻
Jimin would question Yoongi the same as in this one, but Yoongi wouldn't give him any answers. It'd frustrate Jimin and when he would be about to go out Yoonjun would have came and give him the invitation that he had made for Jimin. An invitation to his birthday that was only a week away.
It'd shock Jimin when he sees the date to be the same one as the day his child died. He'd look at Yoongi for answers but the alpha would not look into his eyes thus giving Jimin the confirmation that Yoonjun indeed is his child.
Jimin would storm away after that, feeling betrayed by that. He'd start to think of Yoongi as the bad guy. He'd rush to his house and while telling it all to his father he'd see how his father isn't surprised by the news of his child being alive. That'd make him realise that his father had known it all along.
So, he would run away to Taehyung's house. And wouldn't contact anyone else, not even Yoongi who tried to explain.
But on the day of Yoonjun's birthday he'd show up at Yoongi's house, hug Yoonjun tightly and call him his son shocking the boy.
Then with Yoonjun's hand in his own, he'd step close to Yoongi and prepare him the gift he has prepared for him, case file for custody of Yoonjun.
