Yoongi feels like he's truly one blessed man. Or else how could he be this lucky to have such a beautiful life partner and such a lovely son by his side. He's left awe struck with how his own life turned out. He couldn't ask for anything more than this. And he doesn't want anything more either, he's happy with his little happy family.
This is the day when he wakes up with the biggest smile on his face, he knows his two beloved would be right by his side when he wakes up.
He stares at the two loves of his life with an astonished smile. A view he has been dreaming about alot has finally came true. Yoonjun has his hands wrapped around Jimin, and Jimin has his one hand wrapped around him while the other reaches to hold Yoongi's hand.
Yoongi leans down to kiss Yoonjun on his forehead first and then did the same with Jimin. When he looks at the clock, he comes to a reality check that even though he has everything he needs right now he still needs to go to work so he could provide for his family.
It surely made him a bit upset, because why would he want to go away when everything he has every wished for is right here at this moment.
Fighting his urges, he tries to get up, gently sliding out out of Jimin's hold to not disturb his sleep. But his one little movement is enough to wake Jimin up. Which is strange because the omega is a deep sleeper usually.
" Hyung? Where r'you goin? "
Jimin asks in his sleepy voice. His hold tightens on Yoongi's arm as he tries to pull the alpha back to his original position.
" To freshen up, or I'd be late for office."
Yoongi tries to push Jimin's hand away but the omega is stubborn too. He doesn't want to let his alpha go.
" But you're still not fully recovered."
Yoongi's temperature has gone down back to normal now, but Jimin won't let him go to work just yet. He's thinking of using his health as a reason to keep the alpha to himself all day.
" I'm all fine now."
Yoongi argues, he started to feel much better the moment Jimin and Yoonjun came here, and by now he's all fit to return to work.
He has already been so absent minded from work this whole week and so, he really need to go back.
" I have to go to office, Jimin ah. Work's been hectic since you're not there."
Jimin being there was a big help to him. He was like his energy booster and since the omega wasn't there it made him feel so drained and lethargic.
" I don't care, your work can wait but not me and Junie."
Jimin demands, using Yoonjun's card. He smirks seeing the defeat in Yoongi's eyes. He knows the alpha would never choose his work over them in any situation.
" Demanding, hmm."
Yoongi says in a deep voice, his fingers tickles under Jimin's chin making the omega burst out from him sassy demeanor.
" Very."
" But-"
" Mr. Min. I'm giving you a week off, now don't go to the office and instead make your omega and son happy."
Yoonhi alpha growls at that, Jimin is using his office tone here and when he said to make 'his omega' happy, Yoongi's wolf almost howled from within his chest. That's right, he is his omega.
" Fine. Not a week though, just today."
It's hard to say no when it comes to Jimin and Yoonjun. That's how it has been from the starting.
Jimin isn't happy by that and pouts.
" Why are you acting like I'd be going away from you? We work at the same company."
Yoongi reminds Jimin just in case he has forgotten.
" But I can't be so lovey dovey with you there."
" Why? "
" I don't wanna tell other's about our relationship. It's better to keep it private."
Jimin doesn't know how many people will have problem with them so he thinks it's better to keep it a secret. He doesn't want people to think that his private life meddle with his work life.
" That would be nice."
Yoongi understand the points Jimin has in his mind and he thinks it's right too. They can be cheesy affectionate all they want in between the four walls of their home. He doesn't want to show their love in front of anyone else and risk getting inflicted by evil eyes.
" Where are you going now? "
Jimin frowns as Yoongi finally manages to break free from his hold.
" I have to get breakfast ready or your son would start complaining as soon as, he wakes up."
Yoongi doesn't notice how effortlessly he just referred to Yoonjun as Jimin's son. It made Jimin think that maybe the alpha had always wanted to do that but was being careful.
" My son..."
Jimin has a pretty smile on his face. Yes, that's right. Yoonjun is his son and he's Yoonjun's father.
Yoongi sees him like that and starts to smile too.
" He's such a brat, just like you."
Yoongi adds. Oh, how good it feels to have such an early morning banter with Jimin about their son, it feels so domesticated.
" That's because you spoil him with all your love."
Jimin likes it too, how the conversation about Yoonjun flows so effortlessly between them without any awkwardness due to their past.
" He deserves all my love."
Children are like an empty vessel that deserves to be filled with love.
" Someone else deserves your love too."
Jimin adds with a pout, clearly talking about himself.
Yoongi let's out a chuckle at that, his omega is in fact very demanding. It's been year since he saw this side of Jimin. It feels good to see how they're going full circle in their relationship.
No matter how much adult or mature they're, their love is still so pure and innocent as before, untainted before worldly evil.
" I have something to show you."
Yoongi sits up straight and reaches out to the side table and takes something out of the first drawer.
Jimin sat up on seeing that.
" The ring? "
He says after seeing the box that Yoongi is holding in his hand. It looked similar to the one where he had found that ring. But this one seemed like it was bigger than the previous one.
" Huh? How do you know there's a ring in there ?"
Jimin clicks his tongue at that, ah, he should have just remained silent.
" I accidentally tripped the box over and saw the ring."
Yoongi cackles at that, he can picture that happening. The omega is still so clumsy as ever.
" It isn't the ring one though."
Yoongi says and put the box in Jimin's lap. He wouldn't have to tell Jimin why he still keeps that ring now. He has kept it as a token of his love.
" A diary ?"
Jimin opens the box to reveal a diary inside it. Jimin takes the diary in his hand, from outside it looked quite simple just a black cover and a little white heart on the center.
" Open it."
Yoongi encourages and Jimin finally opened it.
" This--"
He gasps as he see the image posted on the very first page. His heart skipped a beat, he's hit with immense feeling of nostalgia while looking at the picture.
It all starts to play in his head. The moment...that very moment...
" The moment we came to know we were going to be parents."
Yoongi says, sensing the omega was too stunned to say anything.
Yoongi turned his gaze from Jimin's face to the diary. It was the picture of the pregnancy test that Jimin has shown to Yoongi while breaking the news to him. The feeling that they both felt that day, they could never forget it.
So much happiness and excitement yet the fear of the responsibility that was coming.
" Wow- it's so...
" -so surreal right? "
Yoongi complete his sentence. He always felt the same way while looking over it. It made no sense to him how his happiness started from two lines on that test to his son now being asleep in his arms. It was indeed a very surreal experience.
" Turn it over."
Yoongi encourages him to see the next page. He has this excitement bubbling up in his stomach to see Jimin's reaction on the next pages.
" The first ultrasound."
He sees the way Jimin fondly runs his hand over the picture and he can see Jimin going through the same emotion as he did during that time.
When they went for the first ultrasound Yoongi's eyes were more focused on Jimin's face than the monitor. He just wanted to see Jimin's reaction to that. His tears came not so long after seeing how happy his Jiminie was.
" You kept missing him."
Jimin adds, he remembers how Yoongi couldn't still find the baby even after the doctor pointed it to him. It was very funny to him, and made him smile after he just finished crying happy tears.
" I can find him very well now. Here."
Yoongi accurately puts his finger at the little black dot now and it made Jimin think how many times the alpha must have seen this photo.
" Took you years."
" I still remember the bitter taste of this drink."
Jimin made a disgusting face as he sees the next photo. It was him drinking a weird green looking smoothie with his eyes closed. Like he was forced to drink it and he indeed was.
" Atleast it helped you through your morning sickness."
The first trimester was so hard on Jimin and he couldn't enjoy the journey because of his morning sickness. So, Yoongi tried many different remedies to help him and finally this one worked. But the minus point, it's disgusting taste.
" It could have tasted better though."
Jimin's tongue goes numb just as he thinks about its taste. He'd rather go through the hell of morning sickness than having to drink that again.
" Your tiny bump."
Yoongi coos at the next picture, it was a close up at Jimin's bulging belly, although the bump wasn't that prominent at that time, it was enough to get the two expecting parents excited.
" It looked like I just had overeat."
Jimin laughs at it now, his stomach bulges more now after having a hearty meal prepared by Yoongi. But he gets the sentiment behind this picture. They were so happy to know their baby was growning healthy and well.
" It's easy to spot him on this one."
Yoongi puts his finger to point at the second ultrasound. The black dot was a bigger blob by the end of fourth month.
" We heard his heart beat that day."
Jimin adds, it was one of the most memorable day, he was so shocked when the whole room was filled with the baby's heartbeat. It was very powerful and majestic. Everything started to feel more real at that moment.
" And you cried so much."
Yoongi teases the omega again, making him glare at him in return.
" Don't act like you weren't the one who recorded it and kept on listening to it over and over again."
Yoongi shut his mouth after that, knowing there's no need on pressing the matter since Jimin has more things to expose about him so, he decided to change it.
" Look, you look so cute here."
Yoongi bursts into laughter at he sees the next photo. He used to feel disheartened and gloomy before while looking at it, but now with Jimin by his side he feels happy while looking at it.
" Hyung! This is such a bad photo! "
Jimin whines as he sees the picture. He immediately shut the diary up at that.
" I told you not to take my pictures while I was sleeping !"
It's such a funny picture where Jimin has his mouth wide open and hand wrapped around his stomach.
" But you looked cute."
Yoongi adds still laughing, which added fule to Jimin's anger.
" Still I -"
" Appa, papa. Why are you fighting? "
Yoonjun rubs his eyes, his sleep was disturbed by the loud voices of his parents that he was trying to ignore for so long.
" We aren't fighting baby. Your papa isn't accepting that he looks cute in this photo."
Yoongi tells Yoonjun opening the diary again to the same page, Jimin shot him a glare at that. He didn't want Yoonjun to see that picture of him.
" Photo? "
" This is not a cute photo at all."
Jimin tries to take the diary away from Yoongi's hands but the alpha doesn't let him.
In between their scuffle, Yoonjun successfully manages to take a look at the picture that Jimin was fighting so hard to hide.
" Papa looks cute."
Yoonjun adds with a cute laugh.
" Really? "
Jimin calms down after hearing that.
" Hmm maybe then it is cute."
If Yoonjun says it then maybe it's cute.
" Wow, so much favouritism."
Yoongi gets offended at that. When he said the same thing Jimin got mad at him, but when Yoonjun said the same, he's smiling. He sees how he's not Jimin's favorite anymore.
While the two were busy giving each other glares, Yoonjun has already turned the page over to see the next picture.
" Wow, papa's tummy so big !"
The picture has Jimin posing cutely while wearing Yoongi's oversized t-shirt that was now fitted around his bump and carved out its shape perfectly.
Jimin feels butterflies in his stomach as he watches Yoonjun looking at that picture. It's like a memorial of the past, where he was carrying Yoonjun inside him before, his child is safely snuggling in his arms while looking at the same picture now.
" You know why? "
Yoonjun shook his head to his appa's question.
" Because you were in there."
They both sees the way their child was so confused at that and laughed silently at his cute confused face.
" Junie was really there? "
" Hmm, you were this small."
Yoongi estimates with his hand and it made the boy gasps more, maybe he thought he was born this big.
They turn the next page and in this one Jimin looked heavily pregnant. Yoongi had painted a little heart on top of his protruding belly and asked Jimin to make one with his hand too.
Seeing this picture again made Jimin feel some kind of way. He had his share of these pictures too but he had burnt them all back then while he was trying to move on. Seeing these only hurted him back then, so he decided to burn them forever then to let them hurt him.
He's glad Yoongi has kept his share of the pictures safe or else he would have never gotten a chance to be able to feel this way again.
And as it reaches the end, there's a picture of a new born Yoonjun. He was sleeping peacefully in the picture, he had some decent amount of black locks on his head, his hand curled into fist by his sides. And facial muscles clenched like the baby was angry at something.
So, this is how his baby looked at that time. The thought made Jimin's heart full of love as he traced the picture again. He wants to see it again and again. His son looked adorable from the very first day.
Yoonjun and Yoongi just silently watched his reaction.
" My little baby."
He says looking at the picture. He feels his tears coming so, he quickly wipes them off knowing Yoonjun would start to cry too if he see him like this and he doesn't want that.
" My big baby."
Jimin looks at Yoonjun this time. His heart is surely in shambles that he wasn't able to see his son grow up from the first day, but he's relieved that atleast he's here now. And he can see the rest of his growing up journey.
" My papa."
Yoonjun says and hug him again. Rubbing his face in Jimin's chest cutely.
" There's more."
Yoongi says and they both separate to see which one is it. Yoongi turns it over with a happy smile.
It was the picture from the day they all went to the amusement park, both of them were cuddled together with smiles on their faces like they just found their peace. Maybe their wolves has always known about the bond between them, just their human forms were a bit late.
" And here's the grand finale."
With that Yoongi comes to the very last page of the diary.
This was the picture from Yoonjun sports day his teacher has clicked, where Yoongi and Jimin were looking at each other with shy smiles and Yoonjun had a big grin on his face. It was their first family picture that's why Yoongi added it here. To complete the diary which he thought would never be completed.
" And they lived happily ever after."
Yoonjun says suddenly after seeing the picture.
" Where did you learn that from? "
Yoongi asks, sometimes Yoonjun would say things that'd make Yoongi's head spin. Children surely do learn a lot of things from their environment.
" Our teacher says that after the story ends."
He adds with a giggle. To him this diary was like a picture book too that depicted a happy story. Although he doesn't know the sad part that it had.
" But our story is only beginning now."
" We'll write it together."
Yoongi agrees with Jimin, his hand around his waist and other hand on Yoonjun.
" Our happy story."
Jimin rests his head on Yoongi's shoulder. His hand intertwined with his alpha as they both held Yoonjun in their lap. This is their happy story that they will write the ending together.
