By the time Yoongi reached home that night it was already midnight. Yoonjun and Taehyung were already asleep in Yoonjun's room after playing for so long. But Jimin was still awake, despite being tired himself. He couldn't fall asleep knowing Yoongi wasn't back home yet.
So, he was sitting outside in the living room reading one of Yoongi's book under the lampshade. And just as Jimin was about to let himself get dragged fully into the dreamland the sound of door being unlock is heard, scaring Jimin a little.
" Jimin ah? "
Yoongi whispers, his voice low keeping in mind the time. He walks inside with heavy footsteps and saw Jimin sitting there, under the dim light. The right side of his face getting illuminated in the total darkness.
Jimin puts his book down and rushes to hug Yoongi.
Yoongi let his things down too, just so he could wrap his arms back around Jimin.
" Why are you still awake, baby? "
Yoongi sees the bags under Jimin's eyes. He has been really trying his best to adjust into their lifestyle and in return, it's draining the omega's energy very much. But still Jimin doesn't say a single word of complain about it.
" Couldn't sleep without you."
Jimin replies in his cute tone, melting Yoongi's heart. The alpha's arms tighten around Jimin a little more at that statement.
" I'm here now."
Yoongi rubs the sleepy tears away from the corner of Jimin's eyes.
It warms Yoongi's heart to know that there's someone at home waiting for him now.
" Yoonjun? "
He looks around to see if he could find the child staring at him from somewhere, because Yoonjun always refused to sleep until he was back home.
" He tired himself after playing with Taehyung. They both are deep asleep in his room."
Yoongi nods to that, he's glad Yoonjun is already asleep. He doesn't like the child staying up late because of him.
Jimin has already told him about Taehyung and his plan for staying here for sometime and Yoongi had no problem with that. He was infact very happy, knowing how much Jimin and Yoonjun loved spending time with him.
He'd be against the idea of the alpha living with them forever. He's the only person he'd trust his little family with.
" Why don't you wait for me in the bed? I'll join you after changing my clothes."
Jimin firstly frowns at that idea of separating from him. But then he gets happy to think now he can finally sleep in his alpha's arms.
While Jimin waited for Yoongi to come, he kept feeling like something was different about the alpha today, although he can't pinpoint exactly what it is. It's like Yoongi wants to tell him something but he's hesitating.
His thoughts were paused as he felt Yoongi finally sliding in their room.
It feels a little weird to sleep without having Yoonjun by their side. But the child himself suggested that he wanted to sleep with his uncle today, so Jimin had no say in it.
Maybe Yoonjun choose Taehyung over Jimin because he sensed that Taehyung was sad and needed some cheering.
Jimin smiles thinking about how mature and understanding their son is. And it's all thanks to his alpha.
" Our son grew up really well."
Jimin says as Yoongi finally settled on his bed. Jimin soon closes the space between them and relaxed in Yoongi's hold. The room was lit by the two side lamps beside the bed.
" It's all thanks to you, hyung."
Jimin doesn't think, if he had to do all this parenting alone he would have been able to shape Yoonjun into such a good child like he is today.
It's all thanks to Yoongi's parenting skills because he's the one who shaped him into what he is today.
Yoongi smiles at that, not knowing what to say. His alpha is in so much delight with the compliment. After all, he was always worried about if he was a good parent to Yoonjun or not. He kept wondering if Jimin would approve of his parenting method or dislike it.
But hearing those words from Jimin today, he knows that he has succeeded.
" Hyung..."
Jimin says softly, his hand resting on Yoongi's chest as he feels his heart beating against the palm of his hand. It feels like hearing the rhythm of your favourite song.
" Hmm ?"
" I wanted to know..."
Yoongi waited for the omega to continue his sentence.
" - how you took care of Yoonjun all by yourself. It must have been so hard on you."
Yoongi turns his gaze from the ceiling to look at Jimin's face, the omega looked at him like a cute puppy.
Yoongi bursted into a smile again as he keeps seeing the similarities between Jimin and Yoonjun. They has stayed away from each other for years yet they are so similar in many aspects.
" Hard? "
Yoongi laughs a little at that as he starts to go back in the memory lane. It is a bittersweet chapter of his life.
" Now that I think about it... It really was, very hard."
A sigh escapes from his lips. During that period he didn't even have time to let out a sigh.
" I think the hardest part was that, I had to do it all without you."
Yoongi thinks he wouldn't have been so stressed if he had Jimin by his side at that time. Almost all of his thoughts were about how things would be different if Jimin was there.
But instead of being a dejected puppy, he decided to suck it up and face the reality since it was a consequences of his decision. So, he had to face them alone.
" I knew I couldn't have done it alone so, I decided to go back to my parents house."
At that moment while holding his little baby in his arms, he thought it was the only right decision to make. He knew his parents wouldn't turn their back on him at such a crucial moment of his life so, he went back to his hometown without further thoughts.
" Weren't they... shocked? "
Jimin couldn't quite find the right word to fit since shocked would be an understatement if he keeps himself in Yoongi's parents position.
" They already knew they were going to be grandparents but they certainly didn't expect me to show up at their door with their grandchild in my arms with no prior notice."
Yoongi adds a laugh at the end. Now that a lot of time has passed and everything has turned out great, he can laugh while looking back at that time. But certainly that wasn't the case when he was experiencing it all.
He had his own share of negative thoughts that scared him by telling him how his parents wouldn't accept him and his child, and he would be left on the streets.
But thank god that was only in his thoughts and nothing like that happened in reality. Sure, they were very shocked; anyone would be in a situation like that. But the good part was that they weren't angry at him.
" Did they ask about me? "
Jimin questions in a small voice, he hasn't met Yoongi's parents personally before. He had only talked to them on the phone when Yoongi introduced him as the person he was in love with.
Yoongi would hand over the phone to him whenever his parents would ask about his and the baby's well being. And from their way of talking Jimin has deduced what a good people they are.
But sadly he never got to meet them dace to face. He has decided to visit Yoongi's hometown after the birth of their child, but things didn't went like they had planned.
And he thinks after this all he may have ruined his image in front of his future in laws.
" I told them that it was a mutual decision between us."
Yoongi didn't want Jimin to be the bad guy in the story when he was the only innocent one in there. But he couldn't tell his parents the truth too, since he knew what his mother would do in that case.
" If I told my mom the truth, she would have come to your house and lashed out on your dad."
He was afraid what Jimin's father might have done if that happened so, he decided to lie to his parents for the time being.
His parents didn't immediately buy the lie, since he has told them about their happy relationship and how they were going to move in together after the birth of the child.
So, this sudden separation was suspicious in their eyes but they didn't dare ask it out of fear of hurting Yoongi.
" I thought I'd keep the truth from them until it was the right time."
Yoongi feels Jimin's head slowly moving against his chest. The omega understands why he has done that.
" She was a really big help in taking care of Jun. She had already done it once with me so she was much prepared this time."
Looking back at that time, he's filled with a big gratitude for his mother once again. He didn't even know how to pick up a child in his arms, but his mother was the one who taught him everything very patiently.
She taught him many valuable things like the right way to calm a baby down, how to put him to sleep, how to make formula milk and how to change a diaper too. Yoongi never knew such minimal tasks required so much practice and patience.
" Though she said I was a much calmer baby than Yoonjun. And I told her he got his fussy side from you."
" Yah! "
Jimin yelled at him, hitting Yoongi on his chest. Making the laughing alpha groan in pain instead.
" What? It's true."
Jimin rolled his eyes at that, he was not a fussy baby. His papa has told him that he was the calmest baby. Or maybe his papa was the one who lied to him to not hurt his feelings.
" You know he only wanted me to hold him and would cry if mom wanted to pick him up."
It was a strange phenomenon that yoongi observed after Yoonjun was a few weeks old. The boy would cry so loudly as soon as someone who was not Yoongi would pick him up. And wouldn't stop crying until he was passed onto Yoongi's arms. After that he'd fall asleep so innocently like he didn't just wake the whole neighborhood.
Jimin smiled after hearing that, he feels warm thinking about the deep connection between Yoongi and Yoonjun.
" That's because he knew you were his appa. He was accustomed to your touch."
Yoongi would always wrap his hands around his baby bump and start to rub soothing circles even when Jimin was asleep. That must be why Yoonjun was so familiar with his touch.
Since Jimin wasn't there, the only person he had an existing connection with was Yoongi. So, he wanted only him all the time.
" He was such a little rascal that he wouldn't sleep until I sing him a song."
" Don't tell me, you sang him that one? "
Jimin gasps as he remember the song Yoongi used to sing to his baby bump when their baby would give him a hard time.
" You think I knew other one? "
Yoongi asks looking dead serious into Jimin's eyes.
" Oh my poor baby."
It's not like the song was something bad, but more like the singer was the bad one. Jimin doesn't understand how his baby was able to sleep through Yoongi's highnotes while it'd only make Jimin burst out into laughter.
" It was technically your fault though. You were the one who would sing to him while he was giving me a hard time."
" I never thought that way."
Yoongi thinks everything makes sense now, he didn't think Yoonjun's habit had a reason before, but now he knows.
" After Yoonjun's second birthday I decided to come back here. I didn't want to trouble my parents anymore, they had done enough for me. So, I finally decided to give our business idea a try."
Being business students Yoongi and Jimin has always talked about starting their own business. And Yoongi thought it'd be only a dream for them until he decided to make it come true, as a way of repenting for what he had done.
" It wasn't easy though, since Yoonjun was still little so, he needed me very much. It was hard to juggle between the work and personal life but somehow I managed it."
He had hired a babysitter for Yoonjun, but sometimes the child would crave for him so much that Yoongi would have to come back home from the middle of the work just to shush his baby down.
But these things never frustrated him, since for him Yoonjun was always the first priority. Though it saddened him a little to think how it'd have been much easier if only his Jimin was there.
" Hyung, I'm so proud of you."
Jimin is fighting through his tears as he hears the story. Yoongi might have cut it short but Jimin knows there must have been so many more struggles that the alpha didn't add there.
Just thinking about the hardship Yoongi had to face it hurts him emotionally. He feels he wouldn't have been able to do it like this if he was in Yoongi's place.
" You're not only a good father but a successful businessman too."
He feels so proud of Yoongi right now. It makes his omega so content to think how this perfect alpha was all his now.
" You're flattering me too much."
Yoongi laughs wiping his forming tears. Reminiscing about the past always make him a bit sentimental and mostly it's because he didn't have Jimin with him at that time.
" No, you deserve all the praise in the world."
Jimin takes Yoongi's face in his hands and caresses his wet cheeks. He wants to spend the whole night just crafting praises for his alpha. He wants Yoongi to see how much respect he has for him in his heart. In this very moment Jimin feels like he's falling for Yoongi all over again, and this time instead of racing his heart is strangely calm. Because he knows Yoongi will be there to catch him when he falls.
Yoongi sees how happy Jimin looks just by hearing about the time he had missed with them. And Yoongi still had so much more to tell him.
Like his first word and his first step, how on Yoonjun's first day of school Yoongi was the one who cried instead of Yoonjun, or how that one time Yoonjun spilled the glass of water on Yoongi's jeans when they were eating at a restaurant and Yoongi looked like he had just peed his pants. Yoongi thinks Jimin would be really happy to hear about all these stories.
But he thinks he'd tell them bits by bits at times so, Jimin can savour that feeling. Telling everything at once can be very overwhelming.
And also right now he needs to have a different talk with Jimin.
" It's crazy how everything works out in the end."
Jimin looks up at the ceiling, there's those night glowing stickers up there in shape of a galaxy. Jimin thinks it was Yoongi's idea since Yoonjun doesn't like sleeping in darkness.
" Jimin ah."
Jimin hums lightly at that to let Yoongi know he was listening.
When he got no response he turns to look at Yoongi instead.
" I met your dad today."
Jimin stiffened after hearing that. And Yoongi felt more nervous than before, but something in him told him to continue telling it.
" I didn't want to, but he showed up at the office unannounced. And I didn't want to create a ruckus there, so I agreed to have a talk with him."
He was done with the last file for the day and was about to head home when he heard there was someone waiting for him at the lobby.
He thought that it'd be a client but never in his wildest dream he would have expected Jimin's father to be the one sitting there.
He even had a thought of rushing out from there without paying him any attention, but his morals didn't let him do that. Even after what he did to them, he was still Jimin's father.
" What did he say? "
Jimin asks in a low voice feeling embarrassed, he's worried about what his father might have done to Yoongi this time. And he's even ready to go to his house right now and fight him for his actions.
Yoongi felt the rage rising in Jimin's body so he started to stroke his back lightly to calm him down.
" He apologized, saying how wrong it was of him to do such terrible things. And for all the harsh words he has said to me."
Honestly, Yoongi was just as nervous as Jimin when he saw him there. He was almost sure that he was there to threaten him again to leave from Jimin's life. But this time Yoongi was ready to fight with him and not back away like the last time.
But fortunately nothing like that happened. He requestes Yoongi to come with him to a restaurant to have a dinner together.
After the constant requests and begging Yoongi obliged, what was the worst possible thing that could happen anyway.
The dinner was the most awkward thing he has ever experienced. Neither of them said any words and continued to eat their food silently. Until...
Half way through the meals and Jihoom finally starts to tear up as beads of apologies came flowing out of his mouth. He accepted all his wrong doings and how he was the bad guy. After accepting all his sins, he got down on his knees and asked Yoongi for forgiveness for all that he had done to him in the past.
Yoongi was deeply shocked by his actions, he instantly helped the elder alpha back on his seat.
He never had any hard feelings or grudges towards the alpha even after what he did to him. But seeing the hard headed man break down in front of him like this made Yoongi realize what losing your child can do to you.
Even though it was wrong of him to do what he did, Yoongi still thinks Jihoon didn't deserve to go through all that. But he can't convince Jimin to just overturn his decision. Because in the end it was Jimin's life that was affected the most and only he had the right to take decision about it.
He thought Jihoon would ask him to convince Jimin to forgive him or to make him go back home. But the elder alpha never brought up those topics.
It's like his main motive was just to apologies to Yoongi.
" That's good. That apology was long overdue."
Jimin sighs after hearing that. Even though he doesn't like his father meeting Yoongi like this, he's glad that he finally apologized for his wrong doing.
If his father has done something bad again to Yoongi, that would have been the last stroke for Jimin to snap the last hanging thread of their relationship.
" You aren't angry at me, right? "
Yoongi asks, afraid that since he went to meet with his father without informing Jimin first the omega might be mad. Actually he was going to inform Jimin but Jihoon was there and he felt weird calling Jimin in front of him.
" Why would I, hyung ? You told me the truth, there's nothing to be mad about about."
Maybe he would have been mad if Yoongi hasn't told him about this. But now that he did, Jimin has no reason for him to be angry. Their relationship has developed on the grounds of trust so it won't break off that easily.
" Did he know about Yoonjun? "
Jimin asks in a low voice, thinking about the time Yoonjun and Jihoon spent together happily without knowing the relationship between them.
" I think he does."
Yoongi speculates from the way the alpha didn't ask him any question about the child. Knowing the big connections Jihoon has it wouldn't have been a hard task for him to find out about Yoonjun. But he's happy he didn't do anything bad even after knowing the truth.
" He asked if you were happy."
Yoongi says. Just when he was about to head out of the restaurant Jihoon asked him that as the last question. It seems to be resonating with the question he asked him years ago too.
But that time Yoongi couldn't answer anything as he wasn't sure if he could keep Jimin happy but this time he was pretty sure.
" And I told him you were the happiest you have ever been."
Jimin smiles assuringly at that. He is indeed the happiest now with Yoongi and Yoonjun by his side. Nothing can make him more happy. No amount of money and fame would equal to the love he's getting right now from his alpha and son.
" I love you, you know right? "
" Yes and I love you too."
" Tae, how long are you gonna stay here?"
Jimin tries to make Taehyung get up from his lap, his legs has started to hurt now by the alpha's weight.
" As long as my heart hasn't healed."
Taehyung curls into himself more, turning the TV off as the second movie ends. A tired yawn escape his lips, he finally gets up from his lying position making the omega sigh in relief since he was using Jimin's lap as a pillow.
His lips didn't even curl upward one time while watching the movie. And Jimin noticed it all too well, how sour the alpha's mood was. He has never seen Taehyung so heart broken, not even when he had broken up after his longest relationship.
" Come on, Tae. You're acting like Jungkook has broken your heart."
Jimin would have justified Taehyung's actions if Jungkook has rejected his feelings or something like that. But that didn't happen and the alpha was trying to deny any confrontation.
" Well, he's going to."
Jimin rolls his eyes at his friends behavior. He seem to have given up even before trying and it's frustrating Jimin to a point where he wants to make Taehyung sit in one place while he screams at him with a microphone.
" And how do you know that? "
" I just know."
Jimin curls up his hand into a fist to contain his anger. He wants to remind Taehyung of all the 'communication is the key to a healthy relationship' he has said to him.
" Why did you come back so early today? "
Taehyung asks changing the subject, he feels suspicious of his best friend. Usually from the last few days he would be alone at home after Yoongi and Jimin goes to office and Yoonjun went to his school.
He didn't has the mood to go to work or to the cafe so he'd only lay around the house till it'd be time for Yoonjun to come back. And he'd get busy playing with the child.
But surprisingly today the hard working diligent Jimin came back from the office way too early and even suggested to watch a movie together.
" I didn't have much to do in the office, so I thought I'd give you company."
Jimin explains shrugging his shoulder, he takes the remote controller from Taehyung's hand to put something else on. He feels nervous in the silence that surrounds them, he has never been good with keeping secrets
" You seem oddly nice today."
It only makes Taehyung more suspicious of Jimin. He knows Jimin like the back of his hand so, it's obvious he'd notice when Jimin is hiding something from him.
" I'm always nice."
Jimin says getting offended, he's not as bad as Taehyung portrays him to be. He maybe a little selfish at times but not always.
" No, you're not."
" Yes, I'm."
Jimin feels if Yoongi was here he'd defend him from this defamation. Though the alpha usually tries to stay away from the two best friend's business as he says it's better to stay away from two fighting cats.
" Then get me snacks from the kitchen."
" I'm not your servant."
Jimin would have been kind enough if he hadn't just said mean things about him before.
Before Taehyung can say another complaining the doorbell rings.
" I think your alpha missed you so much that he came back early too."
Taehyung retorts, it's like he's getting deja vus whenever he sees Yoongi and Jimin being affectionate too each other now. They're more grossly in love than their college selves.
" Aren't you going to open the door? "
Taehyung asks raising his brow, since Jimin always open the door at the first bell when it's Yoongi
" My feet hurts."
Jimin whines extending his feet.
" Brat."
Taehyung gave him a side eye before going to open the door.
His eyes fixed at the floor as he opens the door for the person, his fingers rubbing his tired eyes while his lips open up to let out a tired yawn.
He had expected it to be Yoongi but when he saw those oh so familiar combat boots through his hazy view, he doesn't need to look up to see the face to know who it is.
" J-jungkook? "
He gulps down the lump in his throat, his head straighten up first before his eyes follows with delay.
" Hyung."
Jungkook calls for him and there's an ache in his voice. The same dull ache that's been in Taehyung's heart.
" You- what are you doing here? "
He still can't believe Jungkook is standimg there, it was completely unexpected.
" Hyung, why did you not pick up my calls? "
Jungkook asks through gritted brows and Taehyung understand that he's mad at him. But even with that frown on his face Taehyung thinks the omega looks so cute.
" You called? Shit. I think my phone's dead somewhere."
He remembers he was playing games on his phone with Yoonjun last night. And since then it's placed under his pillow left untouched, its battery must be dead by now.
" I even went to your house but you weren't there."
Jungkook steps forward and Taehyung had to hurriedly take a few steps backward so he won't bump into him.
" Oh, you must have gone there to take your stuff back. Jimin was missing me too much so I decided to pay him a visit."
He lies to Jungkook, he doesn't want the omega to see how hurt he was by his rejection.
" Hyung."
Jungkook says and Taehyung stops with his fake laughing. Jungkook looks so intimidating to him right now. He feels like a little child who's getting scolded right now.
" I was so worried about you."
Jungkook drops his intimidating act and shows his worried side. Only he knows how concerned he was when neither the alpha was picking up his calls and nor he was at the house. Usually Taehyung always picked up his calls at the very first ring so it distressed him even more.
He was feeling regretful that the alpha was acting that way because he didn't give him a reply that time.
" Huh? "
Taehyung doesn't understand why Jungkook was so worried about him.
" I thought something happened to you since you weren't taking my calls and then neither were you at your home."
Taehyung sees the tears glistening in the omega's eyes and starts to feel bad. He was used to acting this way, going somewhere without giving prior notice to anyone and ignoring his phone for hours.
But he feels like he couldn't continue living recklessly like that, not when it makes Jungkook worry about him.
" Oh, bun. I'm so sorry."
The nickname flows do effortlessly, he looks at Jungkook with his regretful eyes. His intentions were never to worry the younger.
" Then I called Jimin hyung and he told me you were here, so I came here to see you."
Taehyung looks back on hearing that Jimin knew, to see the sly smile on Jimin's face. And now he starts to understand why Jimin came back home early today and why he refused to open the door. He knew it was Jungkook who was behind that door, yet he didn't give Taehyung any head ups.
" I'm really sorry, we can go back home now and you can take your things back."
His brain still makes him think that Jungkook is here to take his things back so he'd live with his brother now.
" Hyung, what are you saying? Why do you keep telling me to take my things? "
Jungkook frowns again, he wasn't quite understanding what the other had in his mind.
" Isn't it why you're here for? To take your things and live with you brother now? "
" Why would I do that? "
Jungkook frowns even more.
" Because he's your brother and I'm just a stranger."
Jungkook's confused frown changes into an angry one. How can Taehyung regards himself as a stranger in his life? They're far away from being strangers.
" You're not a stranger."
Taehyung shook his head to that, his brain is filled with negative thoughts to see the reality that Jungkook is trying to show him.
" I ruined whatever we had between us by confessing my feelings so, it's okay if you want to stay away from me."
" It must be awkward for you. I understand. I feel guilty for putting you in a position like this."
" I'm not mad at you okay. I know you probably don't feel anything about m-"
" I like you, hyung !"
Jungkook shouts after hearing Taehyung rant. He wanted to confess his feelings in a calm way but the alpha just wouldn't shut up with his overthinking and give him time to speak.
" WHAT? - NO, NO! "
Taehyung's eyes wide as he hears those words. He should have been the happiest on hearing them, yet his brain is fogged to such a point that he thinks Jungkook is doing it out of pity.
" Jungkook ah you don't have to feel pressurized to reciprocate my feelings. Please, don't do it out of pity. I'm okay, you don't have to lie-"
By now Jungkook is frustrated by it, he knows this is Taehyung's intrusive thoughts that's coming in between the sane mind of the alpha. And there's only one way to stop them, by showing Taehyung how much he means each and every word.
So, he does the only thing that he thinks is right. He grabs Taehyung's face in his arms and lean forward to join their lips in a heated kiss.
Taehyung turns into a statue when he feels Jungkook kissing him. As Jungkook's lips slowly moves against him he feels a warmth producing in his body, this warmth eliminates all the unnecessary thoughts from his brain. So, he starts to kiss Jungkook back.
Jimin puts a hand to his mouth to suppress his squeals, he takes his phone out to take pictures of their first kiss. He's going to print it, frame it and then gift it to them. It'd a very meaningful gift.
" You still think it's a lie? "
Jungkook asks parting away from the kiss, cheeks colored in pink tint and lips swollen.
" I like you so much, so fucking much." It's the first time Taehyung is hearing Jungkook curse and it makes him think Jungkook must be very serious about liking him.
" Hyung, you are so kind and sweet to me, you tries your best to cheer me on my bad days, you take me out on dinners to lift my mood even when you're tired yourself. Despite being so busy with work you drove me to see my brother and then you expect me not to fall for you? "
Jungkook eyes glisten, he's looking at Taehyung in a different light. Actually when Taehyung confessed to him and then he didn't contact him for days, then only Jungkook realised his own feelings for the alpha.
Maybe his brother helped him a little in the realisation too.
" You really like me? "
Jungkook laughs at the hard headed alpha. He has said it many a times already yet the alpha isn't believing him.
" Yes, you fool."
Jimin says from behind, getting frustrated by his best friend. He comes forward and puts a hand on Taehyung's shoulder, shaking his head at him.
" Jungkook ah, I'm sorry from his side he's just a little thick skulled."
Jimin adds making Jungkook giggle but Taehyung didn't appreciate the intervention much.
" Yes, hyung I really do like you."
Jungkook isn't annoyed at him, he'd confess his feelings to the elder as many as times as he wants.
" Then-then you're not going away ?"
Taehyung's alpha starts to calm down, the thought of Jungkook being separated from him was the root cause of his sadness and not the rejection. Because he just wanted to be close to the omega even if it's in form of a friend.
Jungkook shakes his head at the question to assure the alpha.
" Unless you want me too."
" NO! "
" I would never. Just stay by side... forever."
" Okay."
Forever is a scary word but with Taehyung by his side it doesn't sound so scary as such.
" I gotta tell Yoongi about this."
Jimin squeaks happily, he's not able to contain his excitement. He was so excited after getting Jungkook's call that he headed straight home without telling Yoongi first.
He can only think about the fond expression the alpha would have after coming to know the reality, he has always treated Jungkook as his little brother so he'd be happy to know that Jungkook is in safe hands now.
" That's it we're going on a double date tonight."
Jimin annouces, it sounded more like an order though.
" Yah! You can't say that. I have to ask Jungkook out on a date first."
Taehyyng grunts at Jimin before becoming soft again as he turns to face Jungkook.
" Actually all the times I took you out for movies and dinner, I wanted to call it as a date but I wasn't confident enough at that time... but now I am."
Knowing that his feelings are reciprocated had made things much easier for him.
" So, Jungkook ssi would you allow me to take you out on a date tonight? "
He officially asks the omega out for the first time. He has never asked anyone else on a date before that. Since being a popular person, he was used to being asked out and not the other way around.
" I would love to, Taehyung ssi."
Jungkook breaks into his beautiful smile, his eyes crinckling at the ends.
" Saps."
Jimin comments from behind. But hus words and expression doesn't match each other. He had those heart eyes while looking at the two smiling. He was so happy that his friends found their own happiness.
" Yah! Don't make me open my mouth about you and Yoongi hyung."
Jimin seals his lips after that knowing he and Yoongi are actually much worse than them.
" I'm so happy, gguk ah."
" Me too."
" Hyung, but why didn't you contact me at all? "
Jungkook waited day and night for Taehyung to send one single message to him so he can just tell him his feelings. But the long awaited message never came and in the end he decided to come here himself.
" I was afraid of the rejection."
Taehyung admits, he lets the mask of tough guy falls off and show the real Taehyung to him.
" No one can reject a guy like you."
Jungkook says with a blush, it's Taehyung's personalities that makes him an irresistible guy. And even though Jungkook wasn't looking for love he still ended up falling for Taehyung. He couldn't help himself.
" I was never afraid of rejection before, but I was afraid this time because it was you."
He has never faced rejection before since he never took the first step in the relationship. But this time his heart wanted Jungkook so bad that he was, ready to take the first step even if it meant his heart would be broken.
" How can I reject you when my heart has already accepted you."
He just needed some time to digest the sudden confession, he never intended to reject him. His world would have been in chaos if he did that.
From behind Jimin watches the two lovers with happy eyes. He feels immense happiness just seeing the two being finally together. He can see how in the span of few days Jungkook has become Taehyung's happiness and Taehyung has become Jungkook's.
Jimin feels relieved to know Taehyung finally found someone that he can lean on during the hard times rather than carrying it all on his shoulder. He's happy that his two friends got their well deserved happy ending.
