Innocent (TaeKook) - Chapter 15: Chapter 15

"Tae please just listen to me. Let me explain please." Jimin was whining to the petite boy and Jungkook was completely clueless about what was happening. He tried to butt in but Jimin just pushed him aside and gave a deadly glare.
Taehyung was still crying, tears flowing from his eyes non-stop. Hobi gestured Jimin to let him try for once. Jimin nodded lightly and stepped back. Jungkook had enough of it so he opened his mouth to finally speak.
"Don't say a word Kook." Jimin mumbled in a very low voice that was only audible to Jungkook who was standing right next to him. Jungkook huffed in frustration.
"Hyung a word please" that voice made Taehyung to turn. He didn't dared to look him in the eyes. He just saw Jungkook holding Jimin's hand and trying to take him away from that area.
"Tae you don't need to worry. Listen...." Jimin didn't completed his sentence and Taehyung turned his back again, again went back to setting the table for dinner. Jungkook saw the guilt visible in Jimin's eyes.
"Get it done while we get back here and I don't want you here during lunch. Get your ass to my room and clean it up" Jungkook said the one who was ordered got it clearly. He just nodded and a low sniffle flew to their ears. Jungkook dragged Jimin away from the dining area.
Once they went inside Jungkook's office Jungkook let go of Jimin's arm. Jimin didn't even moved. He just stood there like a statue. Jungkook was confused, angry, emotional and frustrated. He don't know what's causing these emotions but Jimin and Taehyung both are sad. Taehyung? Why should i care he is sad?
Jimin is sad and he wants his bubbly hyung back.
"Hyung. Will you atleast tell me what is happening? You okay?" Jungkook very carefully made Jimin sit and wiped the tears other had in his eyes.
Jimin broke down in Jungkook's arm. He failed Taehyung. The burden of guilt was heavy. The boy was already enduring too much and because of him all hell broke loose on him. He knew the rage Jungkook stored inside him since years. They were on this mission together.
Jungkook panicked on Jimin's condition he wanted him to say something. "Hyung atleast tell me what is happening to you? Talk to me." Jungkook almost pleaded.
Jimi lifted his head from Jungkook's shoulder and the next thing happened so quickly that Jungkook didn't got the chance to understand properly.
Jimin slapped him. Jimin's hands were trembling, eyes red from all the crying. He held Jungkook's shoulder and punched him in the stomach. It didn't quite affected Jungkook but still it had a impact on him. He was shocked and then before the next punch hit his pretty face he blocked Jimin's hand by his palm.
"Stop. Wtf is wrong with you. You are going crazy about him. Will you atleast tell me what's going on?" Jungkook took no mind on his tone. He was getting frustrated and angry. Frustrated on the situation and angry on Jimin's crazy behavior.
"I told you to keep your mouth shut. Asked you to stay quite. Why? Then why did you talked to him in that way." Jimin said struggling to free his fist from Jungkook's hold but the other was not at all in a mood to let it go.
"Will you care to tell me why should i care about how he feel?" Jungkook voice was calm and collected. He was not angry anymore. He can't be angry at Jimin. Get a hold of yourself Jungkook. He is with you, not with him.
"I failed him Kook. I failed Tae. I promised him that i will be with him and will never let him get hurt." Jimin said in a very low and weak voice. He stumbled a little and Jungkook quickly held him and made him sit on the couch.
"You know him?" Jungkook's eyes held fire but his voice was calm. The fact that Jimin knew his enemy yet never told him created a storm in his mind.
"I know him. Since long Kook. I'm sorry i know you will feel like I betrayed you but remember i will never do that. I still remember the vow we made years back. I still am steady on that vow." Jimin's voice broke at the end and he held Jungkook's both hands in his and squeezed them.
"I..... i meet him when i was about to complete my graduation. He was the freshman at that time. There was a group of our class who used to bully students and he was a perfect walking target. He was very shy.  I never saw him with any other student. He always used to stay alone. Visit the cafe rarely. And when he does never actually got the food. Choi Min-ho is one of my class fellow. He used to harass him. First I ignored both of them. I never took account of him calling for help but one day i saw something that made me help him." Jimin stopped talking. He looked at Jungkook who was listening to him very carefully with fiery eyes.
"I was passing by the studio when i heard muffled cried and sobs. I thought may be i'm imagining things but then i heard a loud thud and being a curious ass is opened the door. I saw Min-ho holding Tae by his throat and he was kind off dangling in air. Min-ho was trying to buckle off  his belt. With one hand Taehyung was trying to free his throat while the other was clutching his pants tightly. I kicked him from back and he let go of Taehyung. I wanted to kill him. I never liked him and after that the aurge to kill him incredibly increased. I grabbed him by his collar and punched him at jaw. I was about to do it again but then i heard Taehyung scream and threw Min-ho on the ground........." Jimin shivered on remembering that time.
"Taehyung was talking about some promise and was continuously crying and pleading to stop. What surprised me even more was he was not talking to any of us he was asking his father. I turned to Min-ho and again grabbed him by collar and made him stand. I asked him what did he do to him. Min-ho just casually asked that he didn't do. I interrupted whatever he was going to do. He just said that Taehyung's father has same name and just the mention of name made him weak. Just this and Min-ho ran away" Jungkook was still the same but Jimin's hold in his hand weakened.
"So?" Jungkook just said and Jimin continued.
"I tried calm him down but Taehyung fainted. I took him to the nursing room and the doctor said he had a panic attack. He took quite a time to get back to his senses. And when he did i asked him and he told me the real thing. I pitted that boy. Then he used to come to me daily and we had lunch together. At that time i got to know that he is Min ho's son. I tried to catch him thousands of time but Min-ho was quite clever. He never got trapped." Jimin inhaled deeply and darted his gaze to Jungkook who was already looking at him.
"He endured alot. Min ho is an an asshole. He use to beat him up for every little thing. Please please Kook. It's not his fault. You don't need to punish this little angle for that devil." Jungkook let go of Jimin hands and stood up. Jimin tried to stop him but he just gave him anglare.
"I don't care what he went through. I'm going to get my revenge. Consider him as a collateral damage." Jungkook's tone was deadly and Jimin for the first time in his life was afraid of younger.
Taehyung on the other hand was still crying on his condition. Hobi was with him still comforting him to calm down and to stop crying.
Taehyung felt betrayed when Jimin did nothing on Jungkook's harsh tone towards him even he was standing right next to him. Taehyung suddenly felt all alone in this world.
He started to believe that Jimin coming in his life and being there for him, helping him when ever he needed him and even helping him to get over his father's wrath was all part of his planning. He was working for Jungkook all this time.
He was angry but all his anger flew through his eyes. Hobi was holding his shoulders and when a cracked sob left Taehyung's mouth again Hobi hugged him.
"Hello Taehyung I'm Hobi. I don't think any reference right now will be comfortable for you so lets talk casually just like some teenagers. I know you don't know me but i know alot about you" Taehyung broke the hug and looked at Hobi's face.
"How? Are you also a Mafia? Am I related to you also?" Taehyung suddenly felt like he is a debtor to whole world. He need to pay all of himself to get free. His freedom is quite expensive.
Hobi chuckled lowly and hugged him again. Hobi looked in Taehyung eyes and he saw a fragile, insecure and frightened child. A child who should be protected at any cost.
"Taehyung i know you think that Jimin betrayed you but he didn't. I know him very well. He is a good person. I was with him in this festival. He was always worried for you. He called you thousands of time but you didn't picked his calls. There was not a single day when he didn't talked about you. He always said that you were the only person who actually know him" Taehyung wanted to believe but then again what happened to him was not letting him to believe.
"I did called him. He said he'll always be there when I'll need him and when i called him he was not there. I called twice. Atleast if he did i would have ran away from here but why would he? He was involved in this. It would have angered his brother" Taehyung said harshly swiping his tears with his sleeves.
"That was you? You called twice that day with a local number?" Taehyung didn't knew but nodded unconsciously.
"Tae that day Jimin had his  finial. I had his phone. First thing and second it was local number Tae. Usually every person ignores those calls" Hobi said in a calm and soothing tone. Taehyung realized what Hobi said is true but still he was angry at Jimin. After all he was his best friend and Jungkook's brother. His tormentor's brother.
"He never told me about JK. He never told me he has a brother. He is a part of Mafia. Now when i look back I realize why people feared him, why nobody messed with me after he announced that I'm his friend. Now I realize why he announced it so openly, so loud so that everyone can hear it" Taehyung tried to reason again but Hobi was quite vise.
"Tell me if he would have told you his truth would you have befriended him?" Hobi said in a same calm and collected manner. Taehyung shook his head and Hobi chuckled.
"See you know all yourself. You need to understand Tae. He tried all he could so you stay out of this dark world. Do you know he even payed a man to keep an eye on you and on JK's man who were finding your father. He did all he could to keep you safe. It just turned bad when the man he hired got caught by JK and he killed him and then he had a full access to you." Taehyung's mouth was agape. Jimin was protecting him. Why? JK was finding his father Why?
"But why?" Taehyung asked but Hobi shook his head. "I don't think that's my story to tell. But what I'm saying is that you should trust your best friend. He betrayed his brother to keep you safe. He don't deserve this attitude" Hobi smiled and patted others back.
" what should i do? I'm so confused" Taehyung said with desperate eyes that Hobi will help him solve this messed up situation.
"For now go clean JK's room surely you don't want him get angry. We will talk to Jimin after dinner as he not going to see you now"Hobi said and Taehyung frowned on his words.
"Pardon" Hobi wiped younger's eyes and settled his hairs.
"He was about to go meet you after lunch. He asked JK that i have a work to do" Hobi chuckled again. "See he only care about you, even more than himself." Taehyung felt guilty for not letting Jimin explain. He slowly made his way to Jungkook's room.
Jungkook left the room after saying this. Jimin was unable to even move. Jimin went to the dining area after a while and everyone was already there eating. He went and took a seat there. He looked around Taehyung was actually not there. Jimin can only imagine what would have Jungkook did to him in his absence.
