In the world of crime, two names sent shivers down people's spines.
Jennie Kim—the ruthless and cunning leader of the Black Tiger syndicate. Feared, respected, and borderline terrifying. Her enemies knew better than to cross her, and those who did rarely lived to tell the tale. Her presence alone commanded a room, her sharp gaze slicing through the bravest of men like a blade.
Lisa Manoban—her right-hand woman, a skilled fighter, excellent strategist, and... incredibly unlucky. If there was a way for things to go wrong, Lisa would somehow find it. Not by choice, of course. The universe just seemed to have a personal vendetta against her.
Together, they ruled the underworld with an iron fist. Or at least, Jennie did. Lisa, on the other hand, spent most of her time fixing the chaos Jennie left behind.
One particular night, Jennie decided it was time to send a message to their rivals—the Silver Serpents. The plan was simple: kidnap the boss's right-hand man, interrogate him, and make a power move. Everything was laid out carefully. The men were briefed. The location was chosen.
It should have been an easy operation.
Except Jennie, in her infinite wisdom, kidnapped the wrong guy.
Lisa stood in the dimly lit warehouse, arms crossed, staring at the terrified man tied to a chair. His round glasses were slipping down his nose, and his uniform was wrinkled from struggling. The logo on his chest read Pizza Palace in bold letters.
Lisa dragged a hand down her face. "Jennie... who is this?"
Jennie smirked, clearly pleased with herself. "Our target."
The man sniffled. "I'm literally just a food delivery guy."
Lisa exhaled sharply. "Boss, did you even check before kidnapping him?"
Jennie waved a dismissive hand. "I saw a guy wearing a suit and assumed. It's their fault for looking suspicious."
Lisa pointed at the man's uniform. "Boss. That's a pizza delivery outfit."
Jennie's smirk faltered. She leaned forward slightly, narrowing her eyes at the embroidered logo. "Wait... so we kidnapped a pizza delivery guy?"
The man sniffled again. "Yes. And I missed my shift!"
Jennie patted his head. "I respect hard workers. Lisa, give him some money."
Lisa groaned. "We literally abducted him. We should be apologizing."
Jennie shrugged. "Fine. Give him money and a pizza."
Lisa turned to their men. "Untie him. And someone order him a large pepperoni, no onions. He's been through enough."
As the man sobbed in gratitude, Lisa sighed. "This is why the police are always after us."
Jennie simply grinned, as if this whole thing had gone exactly as planned.
Lisa should have expected it by now.
A week later, Jennie sent Lisa to negotiate a weapons deal with an arms dealer. Lisa went in with a plan. Be professional, be calm, don't let anything go wrong. Simple enough.
It all went south immediately.
"Listen," Lisa said, hands raised as she tried to de-escalate. "I think we can work something out. No need for guns."
The dealer smirked. "Sorry, sweetheart. It's nothing personal."
Bullets flew past her head before she could even react.
Fifteen minutes later, Jennie arrived to find Lisa tied to a chair—again.
Jennie exhaled, looking thoroughly unimpressed. "Lisa, why are you always getting kidnapped?"
Lisa scowled. "I have bad luck, okay?!"
Jennie turned to the captors, eyes cold. "You kidnapped my right-hand?"
The leader smirked. "What are you gonna do about it?"
Jennie cracked her knuckles. "You ever seen a tiger fight? No? Well, you're about to."
Ten minutes later, the entire warehouse was on fire.
Lisa, still tied up, sighed. "I really need a vacation."
Eventually, Lisa and Jennie got their chance to take down their biggest rival, Kai—the leader of the Silver Serpents. They cornered him in a dimly lit alley, the tension thick in the air.
Jennie smirked. "End of the road, Kai."
Kai chuckled, completely unfazed. "You two make a great team. Too bad it ends here."
Lisa rolled her eyes. "Do villains always monologue?"
Kai smirked, eyes flickering with amusement. "By the way, Jennie, how long have you been in love with Lisa?"
The alley fell silent.
Jennie froze. "What?"
Lisa blinked. "Excuse me?"
Kai laughed. "Come on, it's obvious. You act like a jealous girlfriend, and she's the only one who can calm you down."
Lisa turned to Jennie. "Boss... is that true?"
Jennie, flustered, punched Kai in the face. "Shut up!"
Lisa grinned. "Oh my god, you do like me!"
Jennie groaned. "We are literally in the middle of a fight!"
Lisa smirked. "I don't mind dating a mafia queen."
Jennie huffed. "Whatever. We'll talk about this after we kill him."
Kai sighed. "Can you two flirt later? I'm literally bleeding here."
Jennie and Lisa exchanged glances before deciding Kai had enough talking for the night.
In the end, Lisa and Jennie took over the crime world together. Lisa still got kidnapped at least once a month. Jennie still made reckless decisions that Lisa had to fix. But somehow, they made it work.
One evening, Lisa lounged on the couch, flipping through channels as Jennie sat beside her, arms crossed.
Lisa sighed. "So... does this mean we're dating now?"
Jennie rolled her eyes. "Took you long enough to realize."
Lisa smirked. "You kidnapped a pizza guy, and I still like you. That's love."
Jennie huffed. "Shut up. Now pass me the remote."
And so, the Black Tiger Syndicate continued their reign... chaos and all.
