Jennie groaned as she got out of bed this morning. She dreamt of Jisoo unnie again. It had been a week or so since the last dream. Jennie had been busy with school but some things are just the same as it is. Jennie knew that she still haven't put the past behind her. Despite feeling creeped out, she got of bed and went to have breakfast before preparing for a lecture in the afternoon. After an hour of preparation. She went to YouTube and the first video recommended was a song titled Someday, covered by Jessica Jung. Her finger hovered on the video and she decided to play it. "It is just a song, maybe it will be good," she thought to herself. While listening to the song, the lyrics definitely reflect what she had been feeling. Call it double creepy but maybe it may be a message from God.
Someday you're gonna realize
One day you'll see this through my eyes
By then I won't even be there
I'll be happy somewhere
Even if I can't
4 years. These thoughts tormented her slightly but it was much more intense recently. Jennie knew that she was in this phase. The phase of missing and feelings of helplessness. The brain indeed is an amazing organ, which retains memory and connects feelings and thoughts together. There was nothing she could do as it is what the brain does. It always wanders off into thoughts and this thought happened to be the one that the brain decided to work on.
I know you don't really see my worth
You think you're the last guy on earth
Well I've got news for you
I know that I'm not that strong
But it won't take long, won't take long
Jennie knew that she had to be stronger mentally in order to forget about Jisoo. The past is the past. There was nothing she could do to go back to the past. She changed, she believed that Jisoo would also be different from the person she met in middle school. The circumstances always change, and it is time to move forward to something else.
'Cause, someday someone's gonna love me
The way I wanted you to need me
Someday someone's gonna take your place
One day I'll forget about you
You'll see I won't even miss you
Someday, someday
Maybe, Jisoo was sent by God to help her during her miserable times. Maybe this time, God will also send someone to help her through the tough time she is facing right now.
Right now I know you can't tell
I'm down and I'm not doing well
But one day these tears, they will all run dry
I won't have to cry sweet goodbye
Jennie is not doing well. She felt that all her choices that she made were wrong. She was lost. There were times where she cried herself to sleep, used meditation to control her feelings and emotions and even seen the counsellor. Not to say that nothing worked, but the effect was far from satisfactory. On top of her life problems, the thought of Jisoo creeping into her mind had just added more worries to her life. Jennie knew that she had to be strong. Just one day, she will be better.
'Cause, someday someone's gonna love me
The way I wanted you to need me
Someday someone's gonna take your place
Oh, one day I'll forget about you
You'll see I won't even miss you
Someday, I know someone's gonna be there
Jennie prayed day and night for a saviour to come into her life. Maybe, the dreams of seeing Jisoo again may mean something. She is hopeful.
