Just fine asf for no reason.
40 Side of Vernon โ€” Queensbridge projects. The place Nas used to call home, and the place he will always hold down no matter how rich and famous he's become.
He always loved coming back to visit. Seeing his childhood friends, kids playing around outside, all the mothers who used to claim him as their own son back in the day.. everything brought back good memories, even though things were not always perfect when he lived there.
Today was one of his days off from his hectic schedule. He decided to go back and pay everyone a visit. But this wasn't just a regular drop-by-and-leave visit. It was a whole block party going on thrown by the residents.
When they heard Nas would be dropping by, they decided to plan something just to show him their appreciation for always making sure everyone back in Queensbridge was straight, and especially for giving back to the kids.
Nas was currently sitting on the bleachers with his brother and friends at the basketball court watching the youth play.
One of the boys who looked no older than 10 years old, took it upon himself to go up to Nas and ask him if he wanted to shoot some hoops with them.
Everyone sitting with Nas suddenly started bursting out laughing. "Y'all really want my big bro to embarrass himself out here." Jungle cackled.
Nas smacked his lips and looked at him distastefully. "Stop hatin'." He simply responded before getting up and walking with the boy to the court.
"Aye go easy on him, youngin'!" Jungle shouted, still making fun of Nas' weak basketball skills.
Once the ball was in Nas' possession, he dribbled it down to the opposite end of the court and attempted to do a lay up but missed.
"This nigga can't ball for shit." Jungle snickered.
After a few more tries, Nas gave up. Everyone, including the kids were relieved.
"Stick to rapping." One of the kids patted his arm before Nas playfully mushed his head and went back to the bleachers.
"Yo, we gon' head up to Q's crib. His moms is making more food." Jungle informed his brother.
All the food that was being barbecued was finished and they were getting hungry again. They all headed into the apartment building, going up to Nas' old floor. Him and Jungle used to be Q's next door neighbor.
The aroma of the different foods being made hit their noses instantly. Q's door was already opened and his apartment was packed with people.
"Nas! Come get something to eat, baby!" Q's mother exclaimed once she spotted the rapper.
"Damn. So it's just fuck Jabari I see." Jungle mumbled and scoffed when Q's mom didn't offer him no food.
Nas lowly chuckled before moving through the bodies to get to the kitchen, dapping up some people as he walked by.
About an hour went by and Nas and his boys were so deep in conversation, they didn't realize most of the people who were in the apartment had gone back outside.
"I gotta piss." Nas dismissed himself from the living room to use the bathroom.
After finishing up and walking out, he heard Q's mom saying goodbye to someone who's voice sounded very familiar.
"Be safe, Y/N. Tell your parents I said hello, alright?"
Nas stopped dead in his tracks as soon as he heard your name. Your back was still turned to him, as you took the plate of food Q's mom handed to you. "I will. Thanks, Mrs. Taylor." You happily smiled before turning around to exit.
It was like the world stopped right then and there. You weren't shocked to see him, since this was his party. But Nas on the other hand was like a deer in headlights.
"Aw shit.." Jungle mumbled, watching the awkwardness between Nas and yourself.
All you did was give Nas a faint smile before looking over at his brother and friends. "Bye guys." You said to them and walked out of the apartment.
They waited until you were completely out of sight before they bursted out into laughter at how Nas was still standing there shocked by your sudden presence.
"Look at this nigga lookin' stupid right now." Q taunted him as the boys continued to cackle.
Nas glanced over at them and kissed his teeth. "All y'all can suck my dick." He snarled and quickly left the apartment to catch up with you, where he noticed you entering the stairwell down the hall.
One thing everyone hated about these buildings was that the elevators always stopped working. Taking the stairs was always a workout but in this moment, Nas was grateful for it. It would give him more time to speak to you, if you even wanted to talk in the first place.
"Y/N?" He called out for you, causing you to stop in your tracks as you were going down the steps.
You released a light, shaky breath before slowly turning around to face the man you were once so deeply in love with.
"Hi, Nasir." You greeted him politely.
He smiled softly at you as he slowly made his way down the stairs. "Been a long time, Y/N. How's everything?"
You were just as beautiful as you were the last time he saw you, which was years ago. He was in complete awe, his eyes never leaving your face as he admired every feature. It was almost like if he looked away, you would disappear.
Unlike Nas who hasn't even caught a glimpse of what you've looked like since he left to pursue his music career, it was merely impossible for you to not see the man he's grown into today.
From the little chipped tooth, tattoo-less skinny boy chillin' on the block. To the buff muscular rap superstar that the world loved and couldn't get enough of. You watched his growth through music videos, interviews.. basically any time you turned on your television, he was there.
"Everything's great, can't complain." You shrugged lightly, flashing a small grin. "I see you got your tooth fixed. All that shit you used to talk about you 'still being sexy even wit a fucked up smile'. What happened bruh?" You joked, causing Nas to laugh.
"Ayo don't start that shit, ma. I'm sexy regardless." Nas chuckled. "But uh, I don't know.. I guess I just felt like since I had the money to finally get it fixed, might as well do it." He shrugged.
For just a quick moment it was like everything was back to how it was before he left for stardom. But the mention of money brought you back to reality.
"I see." You gave him another faint smile. "Well, I have to go. But it was really nice seeing you." Without even waiting for a response, you turned on your heels and quickly continued your way downstairs.
Nas' face was filled with confusion as he stood there for a few moments before He started to follow you.
"Wait, Y/N. Hold up!" You heard him calling out for you. You managed to exit the building before he caught up, letting out a deep sigh.
"Yo, Y/N. I know you hear me callin' you!" Nas shouted as he walked out the building as well.
You kissed your teeth and stopped in your tracks, turning around seeing him approaching you. "Why you buggin'?" He questioned, stopping right in front of you.
You glanced around, noticing everyone still outside but slowly packing up. It was getting dark and all the kids were about to head back home, but not before saying goodbye to Nas first.
Before you knew it, Nas was being swarmed by little bodies, asking when he'll be back and if they can be in his next video. You snickered at how grown they thought they were.
You decided to just go on and head back to your car. This is who he was now, you accepted it a long time ago.
"Y'all be good, aight? I don't wanna hear no more mess from ya parents about y'all causin' trouble at school." Nasir lectured the kids before glancing around, noticing that you were gone.
He soon spotted you walking to the parking lot and quickly dismissed himself from the kids, saying his goodbyes and rushing off towards you.
You arrived at your car, pressing the button on your key to unlock it. Just as you pulled the handle to open the door, someone from behind you pushed it back closed.
"I don't believe I was done talkin' to you." Nas' husky voice caused you to sigh and cut your eyes.
"Talk." You responded, placing the food Q's mother packed for you on top of your car and turning around.
You were now trapped in front of him, with both of his hands on each side of you pressed up on your car door, while you you leaned back against it.
"How come I haven't heard from you all this time?" Nas asked.
You chuckled like he really said something funny just now. "Come on, Nas. Be forreal."
"I am being forreal. Answer the question."
You searched his eyes for a minute, seeing that he was genuinely looking for an answer. He was like a lost puppy. He really must've forgotten.
You cleared your throat, looking down as you played with the tips of your fingers. "You left. And you said you would come back for me, but you didn't." You lightly shrugged before looking back up at him.
"I tried getting into contact with you many times, Nasir. But it wasn't easy." You continued. "At one point your team thought I was some crazy obsessed fan that wouldn't stop calling. So I gave up. Every time you came back to Queensbridge, I always avoided coming here because I didn't wanna see you. I really don't even know what changed my mind today."
As you concluded, you started to grow uncomfortable under his guilty glare. You attempted to open your car door again but all he did was stop you.
"Nas, please. I have to gโ€”"
"I'm sorry." He cut you off and held your hands. "I didn't mean to do that to you, Y/N. Seriously, I fucked up. I promised you a life with me, a good one outside of this place and I didn't fulfill that. I just got so caught up in everything..."
"It's okay. Really, it is." You reassured him with a little grin. "I've moved past everything. I'm just really happy that you've accomplished everything you said you would."
Nas couldn't shake the feeling of guilt off of him. The way he let his lifestyle effect the relationship he had with you was something he probably would never forgive himself for.
As he stood there listening to you, his left thumb gently caressed over your left hand, making him look down at it when he felt something unusual.
Furrowing his eyebrows, he brought your hand up closer to examine the huge diamond ring glistening from your wedding finger. "You're married?" He asked, almost in a disgusted tone.
You removed your hand out of his before replying. "Engaged."
Nas scoffed. It was his fault that you ended up moving on, but this right here? This was bullshit to him.
"You love that nigga?"
You immediately mean mugged him. Who the fuck did he think was to ask you such a question.
"Of course I love him. I wouldn't be marrying him if I didn't." You rolled your eyes and turned around, opening your car door and grabbing your food off the roof before getting in.
Nas quickly stopped you from closing the door, causing you to loudly kiss your teeth. "Nas, stop playing aight?! I have to go!"
He snickered as a devilish smirk appeared on his face. He slammed the door and rushed over to the passenger's side to get inside the vehicle.
Nas glanced around your Mercedes Benz, nodding impressively. "Nice whip. Ya man got this for you?"
You glared at him distastefully. "Get the fuck out." You spat as you twisted your key in the ignition.
He chuckled before reaching for the key to turn off the car. "I can get you a better one."
"Oh please, Nasir." You cut your eyes. "I don't need you to get me shit. You're starting to piss me off, get the hell out my car." You attempted to turn your engine back on but Nas stopped you.
"Look me in my eyes and tell me you don't love me anymore." He softly demanded.
You couldn't.
Truth is, you were always going to love this man, and he was always going to love you. His lifestyle might've caught up to him, but you were still his first love and only love. If he had a chance to make shit right this time, he wasn't going to miss the opportunity. Whether you were engaged or not.
You nervously nibbled on your bottom lip, avoiding eye contact with him. Nas sighed and sat back comfortably, going back and forth with his own thoughts in his head.
You scoffed and looked out your window. "I don't understand you. You leave, we don't talk for years, we finally see each other again, and now you think you can just sweep me off my feet like this a fucking Disney movie or something."
Nas slowly looked over at you, "yo.. regardless of all of that, I still love you. That shit never changed. I know I messed up and I should've tried harder to reconnect after the fact, but I'm here now. 'Ion give a fuck 'bout ya man or that fake ass rock on ya finger. I want a second chance to do this shit right with you."
"So ima ask you again..." He continued. "Look me in my eyes and tell me you don't love me anymore. If the answer is no, then I'll get out your way and we can go back to how things were."
You let out a subtle whine. That was the last thing you wanted. He was currently getting on your nerves, but you really didn't want to go back to not speaking or seeing him. You missed him, you just didn't realize how much until now. You even starting questioning if you actually loved your fiancรฉ or if you were just using him to get over Nasir this whole time.
You finally brought your focus on him, staring deep into his eyes. Words failed to come out of your mouth but Nas read a million of them through your orbs.
You both leaned in, smashing your lips into each others. He slipped his tongue in, causing you to moan in the kiss. Your heart fluttered. It was like you were right where you supposed to be and your entire body was regaining its life back.
Nas pulled away as you breathed heavily, "get in the back seat." He said.
Once you two were in the back, you both undressed from the waist down. Nas stared you down lustfully as he massaged your thigh. You glanced at his erect member, nearly drooling as you remembered how good he was when it came to sex.
"Come take this shit." Nas bit his lip as he gently pulled you into him. You got on top while he stayed seated and aligned his dick with your throbbing wet core.
You slowly sank down, lightly gasping. Nas held on to your hips, letting out a round of cuss words as you started to ride him.
"Fuck. You feel so good, ma. You missed me?"
Him speaking alone almost made you cum already. You rode him faster while he lifted up your shirt and released your right breast from your bra, sucking on your hard nipple.
"Mmmm.. yess Nas." You moaned and bit your lip.
He began leaving kisses up to your neck and jawline. He squeezed your ass before slapping it, making you even wetter.
Your lips soon connected again, giving him a nasty kiss as you felt yourself reaching your orgasm.
Nas could feel your pussy clenching around him. He held your hips tighter and helped you bounce on him while you dripped down on his shaft.
"Just like that, baby." Nas looked down at his dick glistening with your juices. "So fucking wet."
"Shhhit, Nasir!" You finally released, causing Nas to moan lightly as you rode yourself out. He was also seconds away from nutting. You continued to ride him until his own breaths became very heavy.
"Baby, I'm finna cum." He alerted. This only made another climax on your end start to arise. His voice always did that to you.
You both came at the same time, with Nas releasing himself inside you.
As you got off him and sat down to catch your breath, he stared at you with an unreadable expression.
"What?" You drew your eyebrows together. "I'm on birth control if that's what you're worried about."
Nas chuckled, "nah it's not that. I wouldn't mind you having my seed, though." He stated and grabbed his jeans, digging into the pockets for his cellphone.
"What's your number?" He asked. You gave it to him and he immediately called it. Your phone began ringing in your purse and he hung up.
"Now we got each other's numbers. So figure out your situation with your nigga first and when you ready, I'll bring you out to LA to stay with me."
You mentally slapped yourself at the thought of your fiancรฉ. You just cheated on him. What the fuck were you going to tell him? Your fiancรฉ was a good man, he never did anything to hurt you. A real sweetheart.
But he wasn't Nas.
You suddenly felt terrible for what you just did. You didn't want to hurt him, not this way. Yes, you loved him. Just not the same way you loved the man sitting next to you.
Nasir noticed that you seemed to be conflicted with your thoughts. He clasped your hand into his, making you look over at him.
"I ain't gon' tell nobody about tonight. Ya man won't hear nothing unless it comes from you."
