You were on your way home after getting your nails done. You were supposed to be going out for drinks and have some girl time with your sister, but your plans ended up getting canceled when she informed you about her daughter being sick.
You missed hanging out with your sister but your niece was first priority, so of course you didn't get upset when she bailed. You decided to head straight home.
It's been two days since Nas popped up at you and Shawn's house. You figured he would be back again soon if he didn't catch Shawn in the streets. You just didn't know how soon.
For once in your life, you didn't run back to Shawn to tell him what happened, or that Nas was looking for him.
Nas clearly left you questioning yourself and why you even allowed yourself to get this far with Shawn. You deserved way better. It sucked that it took being held at gun point and one little kiss from your old friend to realize that.
What a weird night that was.
You didn't know what this meant for you and Nas. You always thought he was attractive, plus he was actually a gentleman underneath that hard exterior he displays.
You were confused as hell, but you brushed it off every time the thought came into your head.
When you arrived back at home, you kicked off your shoes and tossed your keys and purse on the couch before making your way upstairs.
"Shawn?" You called out as you reached the top of the stairs. You walked towards the bedroom you share with him, knitting your eyebrows together when you heard some weird sounds coming from inside.
The door was closed, making you slowly creep your way up to it and pressing your ear against the cold, solid surface.
Moans coming from another woman in your bed as it beat heavily against the wall.
You thought quickly about whether or not you should bust the door down and kick both of their asses.
You inhaled a shaky breath, feeling a knot form in your throat as you backed away from the door. You pulled it together real fast. You weren't going to cry over Shawn, not this time.
You quietly made your way back downstairs, snatched your purse off the couch, slipped back on your shoes, and left the house.
You didn't know how to feel. You drove around without a set destination, just thinking about all the time you wasted with this man because of materialistic things.
You could've had all that stuff and real love at the same time, with a real man.
There was nothing for you to be angry about, honestly. Choosing to be with Shawn's trifling ass was your fault, no one else's. Even after he killed your friend, you still chose his side over anyone else. And for what?
You sighed and made a sharp U-turn, finally deciding on where you wanted to go.
You pulled up to Nas' crib, faintly smiling as you briefly remembered some of the memories your crew used to share here when everyone was still good and Will was still alive.
The thought of Will alone just pissed you off and caused a wave of regret throughout your body.
"How could I be so stupid?" You said to yourself, nearly breaking down.
You immediately got it together and quickly hopped out of the car, walking past the various foreign cars that were parked in front of Nas' house, making it evident that he had people over but you didn't care. You needed to talk to him.
It only took a few moments after you rang the doorbell for someone to come answer it.
"Who is it?!" Earl's loud voice asked on the opposite side.
You rolled your eyes, folding your arms across your chest. "It's me."
"Me who?!"
"Nigga, you know who it is. Open the damn door!"
The locks turned and the door swung open as you came face to face with Earl and his pistol held up.
"Can you put that shit away?" You asked blandly, giving him a bored expression.
"Tss.. shit, my bad shorty." He chuckled lightly and tucked his gun back into his jeans. "I ain't seen you over here in a minute, that's all. Thought your punk ass boyfriend was gonna pop up from his hidin' spot or somethin'."
"Where's Nas?" You asked, ignoring everything he just said.
"Why you here?" He firmly questioned back.
Your face formed into a mean mug, "none of your fucking business."
"It is my business when yo' dumb ass been rollin' with the mothafuckin' opps for the last year and a half." Earl spat.
You kissed your teeth, "I don't have time for your bullshit, Earl. I need to talk to Nas."
"Talk to me about what?" Nas suddenly appeared behind Earl at the door.
Earl moved out of the way, allowing Nas to come face to face with you but he still remained present.
You snickered, still impressed by how loyal these two were to each other. Earl would end anyone's life for Nas and vice versa, so you couldn't even be mad at the way Earl just came at you. They were brothers for life.
A little smirk appeared on Nas' face. "You came to take me up on my offer? Ready to fuck wit a real niggaโ"
"No." You immediately cut him off with a distasteful look on your face, causing Earl to light cackle in the back.
"I came to talk to you about Shawn."
Nas and Earl slowly exchanged looks before looking back at you. "What about him?" Nas raised an eyebrow.
"Why you ain't kill him yet? I thought he would've been dead by now with the way you were acting the other night."
He chuckled and licked his lips. "I figured you would've told him what happened already. So we had to come up with a new plan."
"Well I didn't." You responded.
Nas was taken aback by your answer. He didn't know if you were telling the truth. In his mind, this sudden visit from you out of nowhere was most likely a set up. But he was going to go along with it if it meant he could somehow get closer to Shawn and end him for good.
He stepped aside, holding the door open to let you enter the house. He shut the door and led you downstairs to the basement where the rest of his crew was.
"Oh nah, what the fuck is she doin' here?!" Cliff raised his voice angrily at your presence.
You flashed him a fake smile. "Nice to see you too, Clifford." You scoffed and cut your eyes as he eyed you up and down in disgust.
"Yo chill." Nas calmly interfered, plopping down on the couch and looking over at you. "You said you wanna talk. So talk."
All the guys glared at you, waiting for you to speak.
These were all your friends once upon a time, and now they were all ready to kill you if needed be. It scared you but you weren't going to let it show.
Just as you were about to start explaining that you were here for revenge on Shawn and to finally give Will the 'justice' he deserves, your old best friend, Keisha, came strolling in downstairs.
"Why y'all so quiet down heโ" She cut herself off as her eyes landed on you. "What the fuck is this snake ass bitch doing here?"
"That's what the fuck I said." Cliff mumbled.
Nas released a harsh breath. "If y'all would let her talk, we would fucking know!"
Keisha's orbs travelled from Nas to you. She scoffed and rolled her eyes, taking a seat next to Earl.
You started to explain what you just walked into at home and how it started to make you feel like shit about everything that has happened.
You wished you realized how fucked up the situation was sooner, and how you made it worse by staying with Shawn. But what's done is done. And now was the time for Shawn to get whatever was coming for him.
Nas still wasn't buying your story at all, neither was the rest of the group. They kept that to themselves though.
They were convinced Shawn sent you here.
You were held at gun point and didn't tell your ever-so beloved boyfriend?
Yeah right.
They weren't buying that shit one bit.
But they decided to scratch their original plan on how they were going to take him out, and come up with a new one which involved you.
You told them where he was going to be tonight and what time he was going to be there. You were planning on going back home until it was time for everything to go down but Nas suggested you stay with them and roll with the crew when they were ready.
You didn't think anything of it, but Nas knew what he was doing. He was one step ahead of your alleged set up.
