Pleasant morning with not so pleasant mood of a certain someone. She grumpily looked at her best friend, who was sipping onto her coffee while reading the Vogue magazine.
"You look way more stupid with that look on your face, Jihyo," her best friend commented and gulped down the coffee till the last drop.
Jihyo gave her glare after raising her head from the book and said, "Thanks for making me feel better, Nayeon. I didn't know I had a best friend like you."
Nayeon rolled her eyes and leaned forward to see the book, and said, "This book again? Seriously, Ji?"
"What do you mean by this book again, huh? It's Harry Potter, Nayeon. One of the most famous book series and my favorite!" Jihyo argued while stomping her foot on the ground. She scoffed and returned to her book with a grumpy look.
You see, Jihyo has been a fan of Harry Potter since her sister sent her the first book of the series, The sorcerer's stone, from London saying that she should give it a try. Since then, she is hooked on it and she almost read the four of them.
When she got the fifth one, The Order of Phoenix, she read it all throughout her day without taking a break, resulting in it being finished in mere three days of span.
But, now she's reading it again. For the fifth time, because a certain someone has not returned the book yet to the school library and is overdue the next book. She was angry at the person who forget to return the book.
"Let's go, Ji. Mina is calling us for the next class," Nayeon informed and they left the cafe. Walking towards the school, she looked at the library building and prayed for the book to return by now.
"I hope they will return it by now..."

"Do you wanna get sued by the librarian or what?" a small, petite girl reasoned out with her best friend. "Y/N, you should return it by today now. You have already overdue your share on the book."
Y/N looked up from her book and said, "Oh, shut up, Dahyun. I'm trying to read it and you're ruining my mood."
Dahyun sighed deeply and shook her head with disappointment. But she still asked, "Is that Harry?"
Y/N nodded and replied with a hum. She was so engrossed in her book that she couldn't look up yet. Not until she finishes that book within that day.
She knew it was her overdue, but could you blame her? She had been a Harry Potter fan since she was a kid. She already watched every movie and read every book more than four times, but somehow she couldn't get enough.
Y/N might have remembered every word from every page by then rather than her school books. She was addicted to Harry Potter and had many posters and even merchandise, a lot of them.
"Y/N, it's time for class. Let's go," Dahyun informed and Y/N nodded without looking up from her book. She just stood up and hung up her bag on her shoulder while walking behind her best friend.
Walking through the hallway of her school, she heard her best friend saying something but she couldn't just take her eyes off the book and she collided with someone. Knocking her off her feet, she landed on her butt.
"Ow..." she groaned. Her eyes opened and she looked around for her book, she panicked if she lost it and hurriedly searched around.
"Are you okay?" she heard a sweet voice from behind her and she looked up. Her mouth hung open as she scrutinized the girl in front of her. She was the school's president and one of the most beautiful girls in her school.
"I-I..." Y/N stuttered as she tried to form a coherent sentence.
The president reached her hand out and gave her an apologetic smile, saying, "Let me help you."
Y/N was mesmerized by her doe eyes and gradually took her hand. It was warm, Y/N thought and the girl pulled her up. Y/N stood in front of her and looked at the girl with a guilty look, saying, "I-I am really sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you, President--"
"It's okay," she said with her soft voice. She bent down to pick up her bag and hung it over her shoulder with her book clutched closely to her chest.
Y/N just couldn't move whilst the president walked past her. Her heart thumped in her chest and she got caught up in her trance, not minding the other students looking at her weirdly.
"Y/N! What are you doing there? Pick up your things and let's go!" Dahyun shouted from the far end and Y/N looked up at her. She checked her watch and hurriedly collected her things. Running to follow Dahyun, she thought if she was screwed or not.
After all, she was President to who she collided.

"I'm going to the library, Nayeon," Jihyo informed her best friend and started stuffing her books in the bag. Nayeon looked up from her desk and said, "You go... I'll call you afterward."
Jihyo slung the bag on her shoulder and looked at her with one eyebrow raised up. "Are you going to stalk her again?" she asked, sarcastically.
Nayeon rolled her eyes and said, "I'm not stalking her, Ji. I am just... following her."
"Yeah, and I'm an idiot who failed every test this year," Jihyo retorted. She sighed and moved out of her class without glancing back at Nayeon.
The fresh breeze brushed her hair backward and Jihyo took in a deep breath. She really hoped that the book would be there by now and she couldn't wait anymore. This time her patience was being tested to the limit and she imagined strangling the person who delayed that much.
Pushing open the library door, she entered and the warm atmosphere greeted her. Her tense posture immediately melted and she sat on her favorite round table near the window. Pulling out the novel, she started flipping through pages and realized that she was on the last page by now.
Knowing what will happen, Jihyo didn't have much interest to read it again. But, still, she did, not having much of a choice.
While she was entranced in her book a sudden shout startled her. She looked up and found a familiar girl cheering up while reading the book. Jihyo tilted her head and stared at the girl for a few moments and watched how she was smiling beautifully while reading the book.

"Woohoo! Finally, the book is finished and now I'll read the new one!" Y/N cheered while staring at the end page of the book.
Reading the last word of the book, she shut it close and stood up. Slowly walked towards the front desk to return the book finally.
Y/N clung onto her bag and took in a deep breath as she stood in front of the librarian, saying, "H-Hello. I am here to return this book--"
"Finally! You returned the book-- Y/N?"
Y/N looked at her side to see who shouted at her and her eyes widened, she was the President of the school.
"P-President?" Y/N croaked out in fear.

Jihyo couldn't believe it when she saw who has not returned the book yet. She was Y/N, whom she bumped in this early morning and whom she seemed to have taken a liking in these past few minutes.
"You were the one who didn't return the book," Jihyo asked and looked at the book in her hand again.
Y/N immediately bowed to her and panicked, saying, "I'm sorry! Please don't report me! I-I really like this book and--"
Jihyo was surprised by her sudden apology and couldn't help but laugh out loud. She saw Y/N standing up straight and looking at her in shock. Jihyo turned to the librarian and she gave her book while picking up the one that was in Y/N's hand.
"I'll be taking this one now, sir. Thank you," she said and gave her ID card for issuing the book.
Jihyo looked at Y/N and said, "Why won't you come outside? I'm sure there's a lot you have to say to me."
She gave her a smile and walked past her to the door.

I'm screwed, that's what Y/N thought.
She looked around her and saw many students staring at her while murmuring in hushed voices. Feeling embarrassed, Y/N looked down at her feet and quickly made her way out of the library.
Walking out, she saw Jihyo reading the book, The Half-Blooded Prince while leaning against the tree. Gulping hard, Y/N walked towards her and stood there for a few moments. She tried to speak but her fear caught up and the cat got her tongue.
"So, you're a Harry Potter fan?" Jihyo asked while slowly looking up from her book and closing it away.
"Y-Yeah, I have been since I was a kid, "Y/N replied, timidly.
Jihyo stepped forward and asked, "Whose your favorite character? Mine's Weasley twins."
Y/N couldn't but smile a little as she replied, "M-Mine is Hermione. She's smart and always got a way out with her intelligence."
Jihyo chuckled and nodded in agreement. She gently gestured for her to walk together with her, which Y/N agreed to.
"President? What would you like to have something from Harry Potter to be real in this world?" Y/N asked.
Jihyo halted in her steps and said, "Jihyo. Call me by my name, Y/N."
Y/N looked at her and smiled, saying, "Okay, Jihyo."

"This coffee tastes amazing, Y/N!" Jihyo said while sipping her cup of warm latte. She sat straight and looked at Y/N, who was looking outside the window.
Jihyo stared at her beautiful face and a small smile tugged onto her lips. She felt her heart flutter when Y/N said her name.
"Jihyo? What are you thinking?"
Jihyo shook her head slightly and replied, "That you're that book thief who tortured me for so many days. And now I'm drinking coffee with you."
Y/N rolled her eyes and replied, "I said I'm sorry, Jihyo. It's just... my favorite book. I couldn't stop reading it and honestly, I didn't even know that someone wanted this book. I would've submitted earlier."
Jihyo let her eyes trail Y/N's face and noticed how beautiful she looked. Somehow at that moment, she realized that she liked Y/N.

5 years later...
Birds were chirping outside the window and Y/N sipped on her black coffee with a sigh of contentment. She scrolled down her morning feeds on her phone when suddenly a call interrupted her.
She smiled and answered, "Hey, love. Where are you? It's five in the evening."
"I know, love. Will you please do me a favor and get dressed?"
Y/N raised an eyebrow before gulping down the last drop of her coffee and leaning forward on the couch. "Get dressed? Where are we going?"
"Now, that's a surprise. Get ready in ten minutes, I'm waiting outside our house."
A smile crept on her lips as she hung up the phone and stood up to get changed. She thought a simple plaid coat, sweater, cropped army-green pants, and combat boots would do just fine.
Quickly finishing up, she reached down and exited her house to see her waiting for her with a broad smile on her face. Y/N locked the door behind her and made her way to the car.
"Well, I am ready as you ordered Park Jihyo. Now what?" Y/N asked with a lopsided grin.
Jihyo stepped forward and tucked a hair strand behind her ear, saying, "You look beautiful. I'm proud that you're my girlfriend."
Y/N blushed slightly and hit her arm playfully. Jihyo laughed at her shy behavior and guided her to sit in the car. She revved up the engine and drove away from their house.
"Where are you taking me, Ji?" Y/N asked, curious.
Jihyo clicked her tongue and shook her head, declining to give away any kind of information. She tapped her fingers on the steering wheel and smiled brightly. She planned something memorable.
After a so-called half hour of the ride, they reached their destination. They both stepped out of the car and Jihyo carefully tugged onto Y/N's hand, leading her forward.
Y/N scanned her surroundings and found herself reminiscing some familiar memories around her.
They were back at their school campus.
Her heart pounded in her chest when she looked ahead to see the back of her girlfriend. Their hands intertwined as they ran forward. Like a cliche high school drama scene.
Jihyo slowed down when they both reached a recognizable building from their past and stood in front of the entrance door. She turned around while panting to look at her girlfriend who was huffing rigorously.
"Let... me... know... beforehand... if we are running... again," Y/N managed to form a coherent sentence in between her heavy panting.
Jihyo stifled a laugh and pulled her closer, saying, "Let's go."
The door slid open automatically surprising both of them. "When did they make the doors automatic?" Y/N asked, eyeing the interior.
Jihyo shrugged in response and looked around to find something and then her gears clicked. She walked in between the series of tables and chairs and rushed forward to the corner table. The same table she saw Y/N from, cheering out loud.
"This is the place," she turned around and held Y/N's hand, "When I first realized my feelings for you."
Y/N looked behind her and gazed longingly at the table. She smiled at the memory of her sitting at the table right in front of hers and reading the book.
"I was so annoying back then," she admitted.
"You still are," Jihyo replied which earned her a jaunty glare. She looked around and took in a deep breath before saying, "Something's missing."
She pulled Y/N with her and they moved towards the rows of shelves of books. Jihyo attentively scanned the shelves and then said, "There they are..."
"What is it?" Y/N asked, perplexed.
Jihyo gave her a knowing smile and replied, "The reason we were connected way before we met each other."
"Huh?"
Jihyo stopped in front of a bookshelf and jerked her head behind her for Y/N to see. A gasp escaped her lips as her eyes twinkled in adoration. She let her hand trace the spines of the books and said, "Harry Potter."
Jihyo snaked her arms around her waist and pulled her closer, startling Y/N. They both could listen to their heart beating loudly inside and breathing labored.
"When did my book thief become my heart thief?" she whispered against her ear.
Y/N gulped heavily in the proximity and traced her face. Her big round eyes, perfectly sculpted nose, and chiseled jawline that she loved to trace her fingers on. Her eyes firmly landed on her lover's lips, the soft plump lips that she loved the taste of.
Jihyo rested her hand on her nape and pulled her closer until their lips were a breath away. Y/N looked up to look into Jihyo's eyes and her breath caught up in her throat. The dark chocolate eyes she fell in love with were still holding all the love in adoration in the world, just for her.
"I love you," Y/N said while tracing her thumb across her cheek.
Jihyo gave her a lovely smile and replied, "I love you more my book thief."
And finally pressed her lips against hers in pure love and affectionate kiss. Jihyo let her hand drawback from her nape to down the length of her arm and then she took out something from her coat pocket.
Y/N slowly and fruitfully kissed her while Jihyo held her left hand and caressed the skin. Her heart pounded tremendously as she opened her fist and felt the cold metal beneath her fingers.
It was a ring.
Jihyo carefully held the ring and slid it on Y/N's ring finger causing the girl to hastily pull apart and look down at her hand.
"Oh my god, Jihyo... I..."
Jihyo cradled her face in her hands and rested her forehead against hers. "I love you to the moon and back, Y/N. Will you do the honor and be mine forever?"
Y/N's eyes welled up with tears and she nodded as soft whimpers left her lips. She hugged her girlfriend, now fiancee, and replied, "Yes. I will be yours, love. Always..."
