It was just a little after 5 in the evening. Y/N was standing in an elevator while scrolling down her phone, whistling. She just had picked up some spicy noodles for her precious girlfriend who was certainly busy with her dance practice.
After Taeyeon got selected for the SM's new girl group unit, GOT the beat, she had been very busy. Working for the group and also preparing for her own solo work, she was just lucky enough to get a good night's sleep.
Y/N felt very proud of her girlfriend but also worried for her that she might not take care of herself well, whilst everything.
So, Y/N decided to give Taeyeon a surprise at her 'Step Back' dance practice. She knew how much Taeyeon would love it when she would see her.
The elevator door opened with a ding sound and Y/N stepped out into the hallways of SM Entertainment. She asked a few people here and there to get to the correct room.
"Where... Ah! There it is."
Y/N turned around the corner as her ears were filled with the muffled music coming from behind the doors of the practice room. She suddenly felt her heart pounding against her ribs and took in a deep breath.
Squaring her shoulders, she held onto the doorknob and pushed the door open slightly ajar to see if she was interrupting or not. As the lights hit her face, there was a familiar gasp and shout of her name.
"Oh, Y/N Unnie!" Karina shouted from the far-away corner of the room as Y/N smiled at her and entered the room, closing the door behind.
The girls stood up and rushed towards her to engulf her in a hug. Y/N returned each one a hug before looking around to see that Taeyeon was nowhere to be found.
"Taeyeon went to the washroom. She'll be here soon, "Hyoyeon replied with a smile and Y/N nodded her head.
"How's your practice going? Is it too tiring?" Y/N asked as she exchanged glances with everyone.
BoA stood forward and said, "It is. But, we are professionals. Agreed girls?"
The girls replied with a chorus of yes and Y/N chuckled lightly.
"What's in there?" Seulgi asked, pointing at the bag in Y/N's hand.
"Oh, this? This is something for you all to eat, " Y/N replied as she lifted the bags and all the girls started cheering with a bright smile on their faces.
"Thank you, Y/N!" they all said and Y/N sheepishly ducked her head down.
She kept the bag away for the moment as she looked around to see the girls practicing and discussing the dance. Y/N stood there and smiled as she saw an excited Wendy walking towards her.
"Hey, I have an idea, "she said and Y/N nodded for her to continue.
Winter popped from behind Wendy and said, "I'm in!"
"You didn't even listen... Anyways, "Wendy started, "How about we surprise Taeyeon Unnie? You could hide or..."
"Pose as the camerawoman?" Winter suggested and Wendy turned around, high-fiving her.
"That's it! You could pose as the camerawoman and let's see until how many minutes she doesn't recognize you, "Wendy said and Y/N was surely very much intrigued about Taeyeon's reaction.
"Let's do this, "Y/N replied with a mischievous smile on her face.
After explaining everyone everything and then setting Y/N as the camerawoman, all of them got into their acting phase, where everyone behaved like nothing was odd. A few moments later, Taeyeon finally walked into the room.
"Sorry for taking so long. I actually got a call suddenly, "Taeyeon said as she walked near the group.
"No problem, Unnie!" Winter said and everyone seemed to agree to the sentiment.
Y/N watched from behind the camera and she couldn't help the smile that crept onto her lips after seeing her girlfriend. She felt her heart flutter at the mere sound of her sweet laughter.
"Okay, girls! Get into the position!" the choreographer clapped his hands together as they all stood in line, their backs facing the camera.
The song started playing in the background as Y/N got ready with the heavy camera in her hand to record everything. With every beat, the girls moved their bodies perfectly in sync.
When Seulgi and Taeyeon's part came, Y/N immediately took the camera in the front to capture the close-up shot. Just then, Taeyeon turned around to sing her part and then suddenly stopped when she saw Y/N recording her with the camera.
"Y/N?" she said and then the music stopped abruptly as the girls watched from afar, keen.
"Hey, "Y/N said as she handed the camera to the staff.
Taeyeon stood there with her mouth agape and eyes wide in shock. She was a little bit surprised to see her after a full day because she left too early in the morning for the shoot. She missed her girl.
"Hey, beautiful, "Y/N called her by her pet name as she opened her arms slightly for her.
Taeyeon couldn't control herself and immediately threw her arms around Y/N in a tight hug. Y/N wrapped her arms around her waist as she pressed a kiss on the side of her head, feeling the moment.
Y/N could feel Taeyeon's paced heartbeat against her chest as she rubbed her palm up and down her back to soothe her down.
"Hey, it's okay. Don't be nervous, it's just me, "Y/N softly whispered in her ear.
Taeyeon inhaled in a deep breath, calming down her nerves, and held onto Y/N more steadily. Y/N hummed in contentment as she closed her eyes, feeling Taeyeon perfectly fitting in between her arms.
"I missed you! So, I decided to come, "Y/N said, "I brought you something to eat too."
Taeyeon slowly pulled apart as their faces were just inches away and Y/N tucked a hair strand behind her ear, pressing a promising kiss against her forehead. They pulled apart as Taeyeon interlaced her hand with Y/N's, securely.
"If your reunion is finished... Can we eat something? I'm so hungry!" Hyoyeon said and everybody else laughed.
Taeyeon just sheepishly smiled as she stared at Y/N, smiling ever so brightly around her. Gliding her hand a little up, she hooked her arm to Y/N's arm. Leaning her head on her shoulder, Taeyeon sighed with contentment.
Being with Y/N was one of her best decisions in life.
They all sat around in a circle on the floor as all of them happily munched on the noodles, not forgetting to compliment it in between.
"Thank you, babe, "Taeyeon said as she finished her part of serving and was now looking at Y/N.
"For what?" Y/N asked, smiling widely.
Taeyeon chuckled lowly and took her hand in hers, saying, "Let's go outside."
Leaving excited shouts in their wake, Taeyeon and Y/N stepped outside the practice room. Taeyeon immediately pulled her into the washroom and into a desperate kiss.
"I couldn't stop thinking about you, "Taeyeon muttered out in between as Y/N carefully pulled her closer by her waist and returned the kiss with the same passion.
Hands tangling up in her hair, Taeyeon tilted her head to get deep access as Y/N gently nipped on her lower lip. She muffled out a lowly groan and Y/N swept in her tongue, languidly running over hers.
Y/N backed her up against the sink and lifted her up, letting her sit on the marble top. Taeyeon pulled her closer by wrapping her legs around her waist. Y/N rested her hands on her lower back and kissed her intensely.
Taeyeon pulled apart as she nudged Y/N's head to the side, nestling her face in the crook of her neck, kissing softly on the skin.
"God, Tae..."
"You love it, don't you? When I kiss your neck like that?" Taeyeon murmured against her skin as she pressed a kiss on the spot that had Y/N trembling on her feet.
Y/N pulled her back to her lips and smiled against them. Feeling the butterflies in their stomachs, they pulled apart, breathing heavily.
"You're so irresistible, beautiful, "Y/N said as Taeyeon chuckled in response and pulled her into a warm hug.
"I love you."
"And I love you too."
