The night passed as Y/N sat there while staring at the photo of Rosé in her hand. She didn't sleep. How could she when her everything just left her?
The sound of the front door opening and smashing close pulled Y/N out of her trance and she wiped her stained tears away, but still couldn't tear her eyes away from the photo.
Y/N thought that if she looked away, Rosé wouldn't be there anymore.
Soon there were footsteps marching to the room, but Y/N was least bothered. She didn't even look up when a panting figure came in front of her and kneeled beside her.
"Y/N?"
Y/N caressed the photo in her hand one more time as she broke into a smile and said, "Today's our sixth marriage anniversary, Jisoo. Sixth. Can you believe it?"
Jisoo, her childhood best friend, who happened to be the Managing Director of the company she and Rosé worked in, rested her hand on Y/N's knee, squeezing it slightly.
"Oh, Y/N..." Jisoo whispered as tears filled her own eyes.
Watching her friend's disheveled state, Jisoo wanted to run away but she couldn't when Y/N needed her the most at the moment. Y/N's red and puffy eyes from all the crying and her messy hair gave away the suffering she had last night.
"What do we give in the sixth year? Calla lily, isn't it?" Y/N asked as she chuckled, roughly.
"Y/N, stop. You're hurting yourself like this, "Jisoo said as she lifted her hand from the knee and on her shoulder.
Y/N turned her head to look at Jisoo and asked, "Hurting? Rosie said that too last night."
Jisoo bit her lower lip. She knew how much Y/N loved her and now seeing her like that, just crushed her heart.
"Y/N, please—"
"But, Jisoo, without Rosie... I'm nothing. How can I hurt myself then?" Y/N asked, her voice cracking at the end.
"Y/N you have to let her go... If she wants to. She doesn't remember you and that's not her fault!" Jisoo said, a tear escaping her eye.
"She loves Pasta. I'm gonna cook for her! Oh, and she loves that red wine you bought for us. Can you give me another bottle? I drank the last one myself, "Y/N said as she stared at the photo, her eyelids drooping low.
Jisoo looked at the photo and then back at Y/N as she said, "Give me that photo."
Y/N immediately shook her head, saying, "No, this is my Rosie. You can't take her away from me."
"Give it to me, Y/N. What you are doing is not healthy for you, physically and mentally!" Jisoo said as she grabbed the photo and easily snatched it away from Y/N's grasp.
Y/N gasped as she went for the photo, but she was met with Jisoo's hard slap that forced her to sit back.
"Wake up, Y/N! This is not you! I know it's hard for you and not having Rosie beside you makes it harder, but you gotta be stronger for her. Even if she doesn't remember you!"
Jisoo's words were even a harder slap to her as Y/N looked at her and then crashed into her chest, bawling continuously. Jisoo kept the photo away as she wrapped her arms around Y/N and held the shaking body tightly.
"It's gonna be okay, Y/N. It's gonna be okay..."

After taking a shower and getting dressed properly and cleaning up the room with a heavy heart with the help of Jisoo, they both walked into the dining room.
Jisoo bought something to eat on her way to Y/N's home, she knew she'd need it.
"Thank you, "Y/N said as she took the bowl of freshly cut fruits.
Jisoo sat beside her and watched her eat, encouraging her whenever she stopped in between.
"Eat it. You need energy in your body."
After finishing up the bowl of fruits, Jisoo handed her the herbal tea she made. "Drink this. You'll feel better."
Y/N nodded and sipped on the tea as goosebumps took all over her skin. The warm tea helped her parched throat, but it couldn't mend her severely broken heart.
"Rosie is at my house. Lisa is taking care of her, "Jisoo said and Y/N instantly looked at her with wide eyes.
"I-Is she okay? Did she eat?" Y/N asked and Jisoo's heart ached at that.
Even after everything, she was thinking about Rosé's welfare, not hers.
"Yes, Y/N. She's fine and she did eat, even though she refused to, Lisa forced her, "Jisoo said as she stifled a laugh, remembering Rosé's pouty face.
"Thank you for taking care of her, Jisoo. And pass it to Lisa too. She did a lot for her at the office too, "Y/N said and stared far away in the space, spacing out.
Jisoo noticed her forlorn expression and she took her hand in hers, caressing it as Y/N turned her head and gave her a faint smile.
"Don't come to the office for a week. Take a leave. Breathe. Take your mind off things and... Rosie, "Jisoo said and Y/N winced at that.
"I-I'll try, Jisoo. But, I can't promise that I'll be okay like before... I don't think I will be, "Y/N said as she looked into the cup.

The whole day went away as Y/N just laid there on the couch while staring at the ceiling. Every day of these past five years went through her head. Every moment she spent with Rosé and how she spent them.
However, a memory stood out the most. The memory of her confessing her love to Rosé for the first time at a place that was not that far away from the house. An unexpected urge pulled her out of her bed and she decided to visit the place.
Maybe visiting that place would help her to leave this all behind forever?
Grabbing her trench coat, she locked her house and walked out in the cold night. The neighborhood was still drenched from the rain last night. She pulled the coat closer to her as she hurried towards the place.
After a good walk for fifteen minutes, she reached the place.
The bridge.
The bridge where she confessed her love for Rosé after a party that their colleague announced. Y/N ran and stood at the beginning of the bridge, panting heavily.
She looked around her surroundings and found the lights on the bridge glowing warmly as people walked by. A nostalgic yet painful memory filled her mind as she sucked in a sharp breath.
Courageously, she walked forward as her shoes clicked against the cobblestone beneath. Her mind went over every second of the memory.
She remembered how Rosé was just beside her, a little drunk because she drank a shot of tequila. Y/N chuckled.
She remembered Rosé talking about the party which Y/N ignored because she was too busy staring at her face. Y/N felt her heart thump for a second.
She remembered taking Rosé's hand in hers and Rosé blushed at that. Y/N smiled while looking at her hand.
She remembered stopping in the middle of the bridge and looking at the river that was flowing beneath while holding hands and pounding hearts. Somehow, they both were expecting the same thing.
Y/N looked up as she came closer to that spot but halted immediately when she saw the person standing there.
"R-Rosie?"
There stood her wife, staring at the river beneath as her blonde hair flew with the wind. Y/N was enchanted but most importantly, shocked.
As she must've sensed someone's eyes on her, Rosé turned her head to the side and saw Y/N gaping at her. They shared a lingering eye contact as Rosé's eyes were shimmering with lights.
The sight was beautiful, but Rosé was more beautiful at that moment.
Rosé turned her head forward and Y/N gulped heavily as she walked forward, slowly and carefully. Wondered if what she saw was just a hallucination or something.
"Why are you here?" Rosé asked as Y/N came to stand beside her, leaving a friendly space in between.
Y/N tightened her fists in her pockets and replied, "I should be the one asking you. Why are you here, Rosie?"
Rosé gave her a longing glance and sighed wistfully as she shrugged, saying, "I dunno. I just walked here on my own... This place seems familiar to me for some reasons."
A diminished light of hope sparked inside Y/N as she looked at her wife and felt herself tearing up a little.
"You remembered..." she said out loud and Rosé looked at her curiously.
"What happened here, Y/N?"
Y/N looked into her eyes, searching for something, just a little, and when she found Rosé's eyes brimming with tears.
She said, "We confessed our love for each other here, seven years ago."
Something changed in Rosé's eyes, a glint of knowing shone in her eyes as she looked away from Y/N and gazed down at the river, walking in her trance.
Y/N wanted to ask so many things or maybe say a thing or two, however, not getting any kind of response from her wife, she turned her head to the side as tears fell from her eyes.
Was Rosé not coming back to her? Ever?
She decided to walk away, finally, for their betterment as Rosé said to her. However, Y/N stopped.
"I fell in love when our eyes first locked and still fall deeper every day."
Her breath, her heart, her steps, her eyes, everything stopped. She thought her ears were ringing, but when Rosé continued, she couldn't believe it at all.
"You carry my heart and my soul, "Rosé said and Y/N instantly turned around.
She saw Rosé looking at her with a smile as tears were falling down her eyes.
"H-How do you—"
"I remembered, love. I remembered, "Rosé said while nodding simultaneously. She walked forward and took Y/N's hands in hers, speaking further.
"There is nowhere else I'd rather be than in your arms, no one else I would rather spend time with. I miss you when we are apart."
Y/N let out a laugh through her sobbing as she pulled Rosé in a tight embrace. Her heart skipped every possible beat.
The words that Rosé said were the words she said to her when she confessed. Here, on the bridge, seven years ago.
Rosé's arms came and tightened around Y/N's waist as she heard.
"You are my world and everything in it, Rosie. I love you so much, "Y/N said, repeating those words as everything fell into place at the moment.
"I love you too, love, "Rosé said, smiling broadly.
Y/N kissed the top of her head as she held her close, not wanting her to go anywhere this time.
"I'm sorry, Rosie. I'm sorry for yelling at you, "Y/N apologized, remembering that horrible night and her words. She could think of nothing else at that moment.
Rosé pulled back in an instant and cupped her cheeks, saying, "Don't be. Forget it. Forget all of it, love."
Y/N grinned, hearing her pet name again from her wife's name. She felt absolute heaven at the moment. She saw Rosé taking something out of her pocket from the jacket and presenting it in front of her.
"What is it?" Y/N asked.
Rosé opened her fist and there were their wedding rings, causing Y/N to gasp. "You took them with you?"
"Taking them felt right at that time, so I did. Happy sixth anniversary, love, "Rosé knelt on one knee, gripping Y/N's ring with her index finger and thumb.
Y/N laughed as she wiped her tears, feeling her heart thundering endlessly inside as she felt herself blushing at the action.
"Will you make me the happiest woman alive and be my wife till forever?" Rosé asked and Y/N nodded instantly.
"Yes, "she said. "Of course, Rosie. I'd say yes to you every time."
Rosé slipped the ring on her finger as Y/N took her ring and did the same. They both stood there staring at their rings, feeling extremely blessed.
"I thought I'd lost you, "Y/N said and Rosé lifted her head, shaking it in denial.
"You can never lose me, love. Never, "she said and Y/N leaned forward, finally pressing her lips against hers.
A sigh escaped their lips, realizing how much they missed their home that resided in each other.
