It's like no one could hear me. I was all alone and desperate to see light. My breath ragged and my body limped with drained energy as I slumped down against the wall. My head leaning backward and my arms resting on my stomach.
I was hungry. For food and energy.
I felt weird. I felt like if I didn't have my dose of blood I would probably die without a trace. Being a vampire was very tough. And I was kidnapped by the fellow vamps, whom I thought of as friends.
I looked around my surrounding to find a small window high up on the wall, daylight seeping through it. You may wonder why am I seeking sunlight. It's because I'm different from others. I'm a half-vampire and half-human breed.
The human side of me makes me crave sunlight and the energy concerning it. It fuels up my soul. And as for my vampire side, I'm coveting blood. A gratifying and relishing one to perish my thirst.
The room was dim-lit with a small lamp in the corner of the room and some cardboard boxes lying here and there. I rested my hand on the ground to lift myself with the remaining energy and staggered across the room. I stopped in front of the small table and a phone and a gun were lying there.
Not having enough energy to pick up the heavy metal, I picked the phone cautiously and turned it on.
Thankfully, it was not a scam. I dialed a random number on the phone's contact list and waited for the person to pick me up.
"Hello?" a beautiful voice answered. Deep yet soft to my ears as I cracked a smile. I huffed for the air and replied, "Your voice is beautiful..."
"Excuse me?" the lady asked, "Who is this? Give the phone to Kai."
I gritted my teeth by hearing that name. Closing my eyes, I replied, "Kai kidnapped me. Take me out of this hellhole."
The other line went silent for a moment before answering, "...What? He kidnapped you?"
"Yes, darling he did. Please track up this phone and take me out of this place, "I said while restraining to shout out. It was getting difficult for me to stand still.
"But, how do I know you're not lying?" the lady asked. "Please, I beg you, darling. Pick. Me. Up," I said with desperation lacing my voice.
"I can't--" "WHAT THE HELL?!" the door slammed open startling me as the phone dropped from my grasp and Kai entered the room.
He scowled showing off his canines with a toe-curling growl. "I told you not to be smart, Y/N. What do you think you're doing, honey?"
I grimaced as he grabbed my upper arm and pulled me closer. His voice boomed through the room as he said, "I just left for a few minutes and you're touching my things already? That's not good..."
"Leave. Me. Alone. You bastard!" I shouted with the rest of my energy. He smiled widely and replied, "Looks like you need to be reminded..."
He bared his teeth and sunk them in my neck, sucking my blood off. I screamed at the jolting pain that surged through my body.
He moved apart as the blood dripped from the corner of his mouth and smirked. "Now... let's put you to sleep, Y/N..." he said and knocked me down with the sleight of his hand.

I tilted my head to the other side as my neck ached, or say, my whole body ached with pain. I groaned as now I laid down on the cold floor and stretched a little. Some of my bones cracked and cackled as I opened my eyes to find the whole room dark, murk, and gloomy.
I looked up as a painful tear escaped my eye. How I hoped that God will hear me out and will guide the path for me.
I felt myself getting dizzy again with a lack of energy source in my body as I felt myself drifting off to slumber but a sudden twisting of the knob made me frightened. Gripping on the hem of the shirt, I gulped down as my throat hurt with lack of water.
"Is anyone here?" a feminine voice was heard as I turned my head and squinted in the darkroom at the certain figure.
"H-Here..." I rasped out with fear. I heard the shuffling and clicking of shoes as the fragrance of an expensive perfume invaded my senses.
I tried to look through my blurry eyes at the person but, I couldn't. I felt a soft hand resting on my cheek and a sudden gasp.
"You're gonna be okay! Let's go from here," the lady said and tried to lift me. I tried to help myself but miserably failed and said, "I-It h-hurts..."
The lady sighed deeply and made me sit up leaning against the wall. She brushed a few strands of hair out of my face and cupped my cheeks. "Hey, stay with me. We'll get out of here," she said.
She took my arm and rested it around her shoulder as she lifted me from my torso. I grunted and wheezed in pain as I screwed shut my eyes. I felt a comforting hand on my lower back as I heard a soft whispering in my ear, "Shh... Let's get out of here."
I leaned my weight on her as we walked slowly towards the exit. I shuddered at the warm hand touching the bare skin of my stomach. I gripped onto her shoulder tightly and stumbled outside the hellhole.
The cold air caressed my face as I let out a shuddering breath and sniffed in the fresh air. I smiled a little and said, "I-It feels n-nice..."
The girl stifled a small giggle and said, "It will feel more than that when we reach home."
And with that last thing I heard, I collapsed on her and fainted.

The sound of the clicking of the door made me prance out of my deep slumber. I turned to my side as I felt the delicate clothing covering me and soft sheets beneath me. I was on a bed.
"Mmm..." I moaned in aching pain as I opened my eyes to see a pair of beautiful brown eyes staring at me, adoringly. I felt myself drowning in her eyes as a smile crept on my lips.
The girl reached her hand to brush out the hair off my face and said, "Are you feeling better?"
I tried to nod as the pain surged through me and I yelped. Shutting close my eyes, I clasped onto my neck and murmured, "I need some blood..."
"Are you okay? What happened? Is your neck okay?" the girl asked and reached out for my neck. With the low energy I had, I sniffed up the air around me and an appetizing smell aroused my hunger.
It was of the girl. The sweet scent of the luxurious blood. Waiting to be devoured.
The proximity made my pupils dilate with desire as I said, "I-It's okay. You don't need to worry yourself, darling."
"You're hurt and still have the time to argue? How stubborn," the girl replied and I stifled a lowly chuckle.
"You don't know and I don't know you. How can you judge my stubbornness?" I asked.
I stared at the girl's face that was inches away from mine. Her scent is making me an animal from inside, but I couldn't hurt her. Not when she was the one who saved me. I restrained my needs and said, "You're too close."
The girl blushed and moved apart as she stuttered, "I-I am sorry."
"It's okay..." I replied and tried to sit up as she held my shoulders and helped me up. I rested my head on the bedpost and sighed in a little comfort.
"Jennie," the girl said. I looked at her and she gave me adorable smile, repeating, "I'm Jennie. The one you called from Kai's phone."
I nodded and answered, "Pleasure to meet you, Jennie. I'm Y/N..."
"Nice to meet you too, Y/N. I am sorry that I didn't believe you earlier. I didn't know that Kai was such a horrible person," she said, frowning a little.
I shook my head slightly and replied, "It's not your fault, darling. You didn't do anything. He and I... we're history. We're done."
"Um..." Jennie hesitantly said, "Do you mind if I ask you something?"
"Go on," I said.
"What is your relationship with him? Is he your boyfriend?" she asked, shy.
I scoffed at the word 'boyfriend' and replied, "He isn't that liable to be a boyfriend of mine. No, is the answer to your question."
Jennie nodded and asked, "But, why did he kidnap you then-- and why do you have so many bruises and marks on your body?"
I took a deep breath and let my tongue touch the roof of my mouth and felt parched. "Can I have a glass of water?" I asked.
"Oh, here," she said while handing me the glass. It bought me some time to think about my next words as I scrutinized the room. It was a small apartment room with off-white walls and a brown floor. Dimly lit with bedside lamps and decorated beautifully with fairy lights and photographs on the wall.
I settled the glass aside as I took a deep breath and said, "Kai is... he is a vampire."
I looked at her and she froze. Staring right through my core as her mouth hung open. I motioned my hand for her to sit down and she obliged.
"H-He is a VAMPIRE?!" she asked. I nodded and crossed my arms as I replied, "He is. And the biggest rival of my family, but... we were friends before. Before he backstabbed me."
Jennie looked at me with shock as she asked, "A-And are you--"
"Yes. I am a vampire too," I said, huskily.
She gasped audibly and covered her mouth with her hand. Her eyes widened in shock and her other hand pointed at me.
"Y-You are a vampire?" she asked, her voice breathy. I nodded and said, "I am. And you don't need to worry about yourself. I am a half-human, too."
Certainly, that made her relax a little as she nodded grudgingly and asked, "Vampires are real?"
"They certainly are darling. We have been living among humans for a long period," I said.
"Why do you call me 'darling'?" She asked. I raised my eyebrows and replied, "If you don't like it, I will stop."
"No! No, I mean... I like it-- I mean-- why do you say it like that?" she asked with a tint of pink on her cheeks.
I smiled and thought how adorable she looked as I asked, "Like what?"
"L-Like I am yours..." she responded.
Her sense of fear was rising. I could feel it in the air. Her scent is getting stronger and made me want to bite off her long and slender neck, to drink that luscious blood. My eyes darkened with desire as I replied, "Don't get scared. It's okay. I'm not harming you..."
Jennie nodded and closed her eyes, taking deep breaths and releasing them. I took my time to stare at her. Her adorable cheeks and her sharp eyes accentuate her face. Her perfect jawline and her sharp collarbone that was slightly visible from her t-shirt. And her coyly curved neck, waiting to be devoured.
Averting my eyes away, I cried out in pain. I held my neck and felt the wounds under my skin. They were deep and painful.
Jennie rushed forward and touched my hand. I looked at her and said, "You're close, Jennie."
"I have to Y/N. I can't look at your wounds if I am not close enough," she replied, examining my face.
Her fragrance is making me evoke some tingling senses in my body. She's making me insane for this. I have to warn her.
"Jennie, your scent is making me..." I started as she furrowed her brows and asked, "My scent?"
I nodded and gulped hard, trying to restrain myself from leaping on her. "Humans have scents that attract vampires... And yours is intoxicating."
Her eyes widened but stayed in the same position. She removed my hand gently and studied the wound. She gasped.
"It's so deep, Y/N. Should I call a doctor?" she asked, her voice low.
I looked deep into her eyes as I replied, "Doctor can't do anything about this."
"Why?" she asked, intrigued probably.
I took a deep breath and said, "Because only human blood can cure me. Nothing else can."
Jennie stopped and stared at me. For a long moment. Like she was processing her thoughts.
"Then have mine," she said.
I blinked at her answer and asked, "Come again?"
She leaned dangerously closer and said, "Drink my blood, Y/N."
This time, it was me whose mouth hung open in shock and my eyes widened. "W-What? I can't, Jennie!"
"Why can't you? You only said that you need blood to recover. If that's what it is then have mine," she said, like it was a piece of cake.
"But, Jennie. You don't understand. It can make you weak and maybe lose consciousness for a few days," I replied.
She suddenly cupped my cheeks and said, "Doesn't matter. When I can save someone's life. It doesn't matter."
My heart melted at this. Her words made me blush a little as I cleared my throat and asked, "A-Are you sure?"
Jennie smiled and nodded, "I am."
Cautiously raising my hand, I rested it on her neck and she shuddered under my touch. "Am I cold?" I asked.
She shook her head and replied, "N-No. I-It's okay."
"I don't think it's a good idea, Jennie," I said. She rested her palm on my wrist and caressed the skin with her thumb. She gave a soft smile and said, "I have to see you okay, Y/N."
My heart raced. She was smooth with her words. I felt myself blushing and said, "Thank you."
She nodded and closed her eyes. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. As I opened them they glared red and my fangs grew up. I leaned closer to her and sniffed up the desiring scent.
"It's gonna hurt a little," I said.
She whimpered a little in reply and screwed her eyes together. I tilted her head to the side as I leaned towards the exposed side of her neck. I opened my mouth and slightly licked her neck, eliciting a moan from her.
I enjoyed that.
I pulled her a little closer and kissed her neck softly. Not wanting to hurt her that much. She moaned again while speaking my name. "Y/N..."
I felt something. Something excitedly good inside me. Hearing her moan under my touch was undeniably delightful. Baring my teeth, I grazed her soft skin slightly and she groped for my shirt. And finally, I pierced my sharp teeth through her skin.
"Y/N!" she yelped and grabbed my hair. She bit her lower lip and stifled some moans.
I savored the blood. It was addicting like a drug I didn't know that I needed before. Engulfing onto her neck, I slowly slid my hands under her shirt and caressed her toned stomach.
I was getting out of hand. But, I couldn't get enough of her. I pushed her lightly and let her lay back on the bed. I hovered on top of her as I drank up my thirst.
After a few moments, I pulled apart and licked my lips. I felt myself being satisfied and power restored. Opening my eyes and moving apart I noticed Jennie heaving heavily beneath me, hands clutching onto sheets and sweat trickling down her forehead.
"Jennie," I spoke up as she slowly opened her eyes and looked at me.
"Are you okay?" she asked, breathily. I smiled as I caressed her cheek and nodded. She smiled and said, "That's good news..."
"Let me help you," I said as I lifted her head a little made her sit up. She winced in pain and groaned, "Ouch..."
I checked up the mark and sighed in relief. "It's not deep, but painful," I said.
"It's gonna be okay," she said and tiringly smiled at me.
My heart melted at her kindness and hugged her. She gasped and asked, "What's this for?"
"Thank you, Jennie. For everything..." I said. I felt myself tearing up a little. She ran her fingers through my hair and said, "Your welcome."
I pulled apart and hesitantly kissed her forehead. She froze. I chuckled at her adorable reaction as I pinched her cheek and said, "I'm gonna bring a hot water towel. Lay here and rest."
She nodded and I made my way to the kitchen, boiling the water and getting a hand towel from the bathroom. Soaking the towel in lukewarm water and reached the room.
Jennie was laying on the bed while staring up at the ceiling. I made my way towards her and sat beside her.
"Now what?" she asked. I raised my eyebrows as I squeezed the rest of the water from the towel and cleaned off the stained blood on her neck. She winced at the feeling.
"What do you mean?" I asked. "What now? What after this? Are you gonna leave?" she asked, her puppy eyes sparkling with hope.
"We will talk about this later. Sleep now," I said. She chuckled and said, "You were the one who was dying in that crappy basement and I brought you to my home. For what? To be commanded by you?"
I laughed and replied, "Don't know. But sleep now."
Jennie obliged and closed her eyes. I was about to get up when she held my wrist and murmured, "Stay with me."
I smiled and laid down beside her as she carefully reached out for my waist and wrapped her arm around me. I beamed with happiness and whispered, "Good night, darling."
"Good night, Y/N."
