Things couldn't really be worst if they tried but I didn't say it out loud, Andie would dare die to prove me a liar, I know that she is capable of doing that.
This was the first time I climbed in the school, so that's how Jasmine climbed the wall herself, she pilled up boxes and just jumped, falling on her face.
I was only in here to check on Andie and then Jasmine wanted me to find medicine, that would have been easy, I can read the description on the boxes and am no stupid enough to give her something I don't know off.... If the door she showed me was not padlocked with one needing a number combination to open and not only the key Andie told her about.
"Don't you know the code?" I asked, I did try to break it off with the fire axe Adar lend me, even he tried but somehow they built this school to withstand the apocalypse.... Oh the irony of fate.
"No, she wanted to be sure I couldn't get in there." The girl said. "Only telling me of the key too, not the code."
"What is even in there?" Adar asked, giving up, it was a metal door so we couldn't even break through it.
"If I remember right.... Weapons, medicine and a few of the rarer resources tho she didn't tell me what those were exactly.
"Great." I tapped my chin, thinking, she at least needs something to help with the fiver and all. "Do you have her map?" I asked since mine was still basic, comparing the maps I would get lost in this town while she has markings put on her own.
"Yeah, yeah, a moment." She said, running to the office that was turned into a room as I looked at Adar.
"Lucy...... I know that look, you want to do something stupid." He said, pointing at me accusingly, I just shrugged since it was a stupid idea in the long run.... If we get in trouble.
"There must be a hospital near or a pharmacy. If she has any marked down we should go there."
"Hospitals are where this virus started in, I don't believe she is stupid enough to have entered them, husks of the first days must still be in there, we know nothing of those places."
"I am not willing to let her die."
"Awfully nice of you.... Don't go falling in love in such a world." Before I could complain about his words, Jasmine had shot out of the room, waving the map in the air with a grin.
"Here!" She handed it too me.
I shot Adar a glare and unfolded it.
"Oh yeah this is like a treasure map." Adar blew, seeming quite shocked how precise it was.
"We have a few choices as she didn't mark pharmacies." I pointed at the two nearest hospitals. "One is bigger so more possible danger but maybe more things there the other smaller, less danger but maybe not the one we are looking for."
"Every hospital has something to help with fiver."
"Have you actually seen her? I think it is way more then that, plus bigger hospital have more tools that could be useful in the future."
"Where are we going?" Jasmine asked, trying to peek at the map and see where I was pointing.
"No, we are, you are staying here and keep an eye on Andie." I said instantly, not willing to take her along.
"What?! No!!"
"Jasmine, she needs you here, we can't leave her alone." Adar tried to sooth her as she crossed her arms.
"I am coming!"
"You are not, listen to him before I lock you in that room." I said coldly.
"Bastards." She huffed, walking back in the room and slamming the door.
"Make sure she doesn't follow us out after we leave, we can't have her follow." I told Adar with a sigh.
"Wow that was a bit harsh." He scratched his neck.
"If I need to be the villain, so be it, if it makes sure that they will both be safe."
"So the bigger one huh?"
"It is worth it in the long run not just now."
"Alright... I'll trust you."
