"Fine, go ahead and wait. You might wait till you die and still get nothing," Lenka said flatly.
She thought, 'Dr. Bennett being kept? Who would believe that!'
Andrea snorted coldly, took the bag, and turned to leave.
Watching Andrea leave, Lenka scoffed inwardly, 'What a fool! Her whole family's got terrible judgment.'
She took out her phone and looked at an old announcement from the Bennett family some time ago. They severed all ties with Kaia in the announcement, leaving her no chance to return home.
Thinking about how Lincoln and his wife doted on Andrea, Lenka clicked her tongue.
"They really mistook a fake for a gem, and worse, treated a gem like a stone. This family will regret it sooner or later," she muttered.
But before that, there was something she had to do immediately.
Soon, she arrived at Room 308, her heart pounding as she knocked on the door.
"Come in," Kaia said softly.
Lenka felt guilty, fumbling for words but too afraid to speak.
"You're here to talk about Andrea, aren't you?" Kaia raised an eyebrow and asked.
The nurse's pupils dilated. "How did you know?"
Kaia pointed to her head and said, "I guessed."
Lenka stared at Kaia with bright eyes, amazed by how smart she was.
She bowed deeply, wishing she could bury her head in her legs. "Dr. Bennett, I shouldn't have helped Andrea or told her about your whereabouts. I helped her only because we were in the same club in college, and I heard her say she wanted to join your team.
"It just so happened that you were hospitalized, so I told her the news. I did accept some benefits, but I've returned the designer bag and money she gave me. Dr. Bennett, please don't blame me! I'm really sorry!"
By the end, Lenka was almost crying.
Kaia gently lifted the nurse's head and said, "I know exactly how Andrea operates. If she wants to use someone, she'll sell them out and still have them thank her for it. You were just a pawn. I don't blame you."
Lenka felt relieved, tears threatening to fall.
But just as she relaxed, Kaia said seriously, "You betrayed me, and that's a fact. Though I've forgiven you, you still deserve punishment."
Lenka's face turned pale with fright.
Kaia said with a smile, "Come outside for a walk with me. That's your punishment."
The nurse's eyes reddened again. Kaia's joke somehow made her tears roll down.
Kaia said, "Also, don't call me Dr. Bennett. Just call me Kaia."

Outside the hospital, a black Maybach slowly came to a stop.
Tobias helped a gray-haired old lady out of the car.
"Grandma, be careful. There's a step here," he said gently.
Pauline smiled and said, "It's my legs that don't work, not my eyes. I may be old, but my eyes are still sharp."
Tobias said, "I've scheduled an incredible expert for you this time. He has extensive clinical experience in treating chronic arthritis in the legs, and I believe your legs will get better soon."
Pauline sighed, "Stop trying to comfort me. You've said all that before. This doctor is so skilled, and that professor has rich clinical experience—yet it still ended like this. It's not that their medical skills aren't good enough. It's just that my chronic arthritis is too severe."
"You'll get better. I'm sure of it," Tobias asserted as he helped Pauline walk toward the hospital.
