Scott slowly reached out his hand, flattered, to shake Conrad's hand, his palms covered in sweat.
"Mr. Becker, don't be nervous. Please have a seat over here. Just treat this place as your home." Conrad invited Scott to sit on the sofa and said to the assistant, "Quick, make coffee. Use the new one."
The assistant nodded. "Yes, Mr. Dorsey."
Scott became more and more uneasy and couldn't help but ask boldly," Mr. Dorsey, do you know my sister Kaia?"
"Yes, of course I know her. I've known her for a long time," Conrad replied truthfully.
Scott asked again, "Then, then what is your relationship with her? Why, why are you taking such good care of me?"
"She didn't tell you?" Conrad asked back.
"No," Scott shook his head.
"I see." Conrad understood, "Since she didn't tell you, then I won't say much to you. You can ask Kaia directly."
Scott actually wanted to ask if Kaia was cheating, but deep down, he didn't think she would do something like that.
But Conrad took such good care of him that if Kaia told him she and Conrad were just ordinary friends, he wouldn't believe it.
"Let's not talk about this for now. I heard from Kaia that you liked designing?" Conrad asked.
"Yes." Scott nodded.
Conrad asked, "Have you ever studied it systematically?"
Scott shook his head. "No, I just do it at home when I have nothing to do, treating it as a hobby."
"Do you have any design drafts?" Conrad asked again.
"Yes, here." Scott gave the prepared design drafts to Conrad.
After Conrad looked at them, his eyes lit up slightly. "You have some talent. How about this? You can follow me from now on. I'll take you as my student and mentor you personally."
Scott was shocked beyond words.
Although Conrad praised his talent, Scott was self-aware. There were many talented people, and probably countless designers wanted to become Conrad's students.
However, he had never systematically studied design, yet Conrad directly took him under his wing.
Judging from this point, Kaia and Conrad's relationship was definitely extraordinary.
He must ask Kaia about it!
In the evening, Kaia arrived, and Tobias came along with her.
"Kaia, who is he?" Willa asked suspiciously.
Kaia had a headache coming up. Tobias insisted on following her shamelessly.
Before Kaia could step forward, Tobias introduced himself first.
"Mr. Becker, Mrs. Becker, these are the gifts I bought for you."
Tobias was carrying a dozen shopping bags, including expensive clothes, valuable cigarettes, and wine, as well as health products, jewelry, and so on.
Those things alone were worth over one million dollars.
Willa and Solomon were shocked and turned their heads to look at Kaia in a daze.
Kaia already had a headache, but then it got even worse.
They tried to ask, "Kaia, who, who is he to you..."
"Dad, Mom, ignore him. He lost his mind." When Kaia said that, she glared at Tobias.
Willa and Solomon probably understood what was going on.
This young man should be a pursuer of Kaia, but seeing that Kaia didn't seem to dislike him very much, they treated Tobias politely.
"Don't stand at the door. The dishes are on the table. Come in and eat quickly, or it won't taste good when it's cold." Willa liked Tobias more and more as she looked at him.
She asked with a smile. "You're so handsome, young man! How old are you?"
"Twenty-seven," Tobias replied.
Solomon whispered to Willa, "He's much older than Kaia."
Although Tobias couldn't hear what they were saying, he could tell from their lip movements.
