"Kaia!" Tobias's heart leaped to his throat. He swam over frantically, dived into the water, and pulled Kaia out.
He quickly brought her to the shore.
"Are you okay?" Tobias asked, looking at Kaia with concern.
Kaia's face was pale, and she frowned, reaching out to pinch her leg.
"Ouch, a cramp. You jinxed me."
"It's all my fault. I jinxed it!" Tobias frowned, his eyes filled with self-blame and worry.
Kaia's heart suddenly softened. Her bright, beautiful eyes flickered as she stared at Tobias. As she watched, her heart couldn't help but beat faster.
"Let me massage it for you," Tobias said, moving to help.
"No, I can do it myself. It'll be fine." Kaia lowered her eyes, hiding the emotions within them.
"Be good. Can you not reject me at this time, Kaia?" Tobias's voice was so gentle that it seemed like it would melt Kaia's heart.
Kaia pursed her lips and retracted her outstretched hand.
Seeing that Kaia no longer refused, Tobias gently picked up her leg, slowly raised it, and placed it on his own leg to support her.
Then, he massaged and kneaded Kaia's leg little by little, asking questions from time to time.
"Is there too much pressure? Should I be more gentle?" he asked, stuff like that.
After more than ten minutes, Kaia's leg gradually eased under Tobias's patient massage.
She said gratefully, "Thank you. I'm almost recovered."
"You always like to say 'thank you' to me. I look forward to the day when you no longer say 'thank you' to me, but take everything I do for granted." Tobias looked at Kaia affectionately.
Kaia couldn't stand the way Tobias looked at her. Every time he looked at her like that, it gave her the illusion that he wanted to suck her into his eyes.
She said softly, "I'm a little cold. I want to find a place to rest for a bit."
"Okay." Tobias put a dry towel over Kaia and helped her up.
He offered, "I'll carry you on my back."
"No..." Before she could finish her words, Tobias had already carried her on his back.
At first, she thought about struggling, but when she lay on Tobias's back, it was as if a person who had been tired for a long time had finally gotten into bed, and suddenly lost her strength and did not want to move.
Kaia felt her eyelids getting heavier and heavier, and she really wanted to sleep, so she stretched out her hand, hugged Tobias's neck, and then slowly fell asleep on his back.
When she woke up, she found herself in a room in a private villa.
Without even thinking, she knew that this should be Tobias's private villa by the sea.
The sound of knocking on the door rang out.
"Come in."
As soon as Kaia finished speaking, she saw the door being pushed open abruptly, and then Wilson, with blond hair and blue eyes.
She was confused. "Why, why are you here?"
Wilson smiled. "With my skills, did you think I couldn't find you? Even if you were at the ends of the earth, turned to ashes, I could still find you."
Kaia was left speechless.
"Sweet Kaia, you're being unfair. You're actually dating another man, but you never agreed when I asked you out." Wilson said, wailing aggrievedly.
Kaia couldn't stand Wilson talking to her in this resentful tone. "I just owe Tobias a favor, so I came out with him. Besides, I only went to the beach with him, which doesn't mean it's a date."
