The thug flew through the air as if hit by a speeding train, crashing into a roadside trash can.
He fell head over heels, landing flat on his back.
His wails filled the air.
Hailey stared, dumbfounded and speechless, hugging her legs as she watched in stunned silence.
"Go to the police station yourself," Kaia said, looking down at the thug.
"Who the hell do you think you are? You tell me to go, and I'll go?" the thug roared, incandescent with rage.
The next second, Kaia kicked the thug in the chest.
The crisp sound of a rib breaking stood out in the quiet night.
"Can you go to the police station yourself now?" Kaia said, expressionless, looking at the thug.
That calm, cold face, without the slightest betrayal of emotion, caused a storm of fear to rise in the thug's heart, amplifying his terror infinitely.
Hailey continued to maintain her previous posture, watching with her mouth open and motionless.
"Not talking? Looks like I didn't kick hard enough." Kaia's words were light, giving the impression that breaking someone's ribs was a trivial matter.
The thug looked at Kaia's raised foot again, his eyes bulging out instantly, as if they were about to fall out at any moment.
"OK, I am willing to go..."
Kaia's foot landed on him.
The thug screamed, his eyes bloodshot as he collapsed to the ground in pain.
Kaia frowned slightly. "Did you just say you were willing to go to the police station?"
The thug was about to cry. "You... you didn't even let me finish."
"You should have spoken up sooner." Kaia slowly retracted her foot. "Then go quickly."
The thug clutched his stomach, tears now streaming down his face. "I've broken at least three ribs. I can't get up. How am I supposed to go?"
"So fragile? I didn't even use any force." Kaia looked at the thug with disdain. "I thought someone who dared to commit a crime in the street would have some skill. How could a good-for-nothing like you dare to do something like this? What were you thinking?"
The thug was stifled.
"Forget it. I'll call the police. You're such a nuisance." As she spoke, Kaia took out her phone and dialed the police.
After finishing the call, Kaia turned to look at Hailey. "Is your leg alright?"
Hailey couldn't process it for a moment.
"You can't even speak? Is it that serious?" Kaia said to herself, then squatted down and checked Hailey's leg.
"It hurts! It hurts so much!" Hailey's tears were about to fall.
"It's not very serious. Just a dislocation." Kaia quickly judged the problem with Hailey.
Hailey looked at Kaia with a dubious look. "Do you know medical skills?"
After asking this, she suddenly remembered the medical book she had found in Kaia's bag before.
"Yes." Kaia finished speaking, held Hailey's leg, and pushed hard.
It was done.
Hailey no longer doubted that Kaia knew medical skills. "Aren't you in the computer science department? Why do you know medical skills?"
"It's my hobby." Kaia was telling the truth, so Hailey couldn't see even a trace of lying on Kaia's face.
"Hobby? That's amazing," Hailey said.
"Amazing? It's alright. Compared to my main job, it's far behind."
"Main job?" Hailey reacted, "Are you talking about computers?"
