"I really didn't expect Miss Bennett to be so capable at such a young age. No wonder she could make our usually aloof Tobias fall in love." Willie said jokingly.
"Okay, Willie, you continue chatting with Tobias. I'll take Kaia to the orchard first. Oh, right! When Dr. Dean arrives later, be sure to call me immediately!" Hailey solemnly instructed before leaving.
A dozen minutes later, Kaia followed Hailey to the orchard. Usually, she would have been very interested in tasting so much fresh fruit, but now she had a headache and needed to get away quickly, otherwise Dr. Dean wouldn't show up.
"Hailey, my stomach feels a little uncomfortable. I want to go to the restroom. Which way is it?" Kaia asked.
Hailey looked at Kaia's stomach worriedly. "Did you eat something bad? Are you alright? If not, I'll call the family doctor."
Kaia gave Hailey a reassuring smile. "Did you forgot? I know medicine. Don't worry, it's not a big problem. It's probably just a bad stomach like you said. I'll just take care of it in the restroom."
Hearing Kaia say this, Hailey felt relieved and pointed to the front left. "The restroom is over there. I'll take you there."
"No need, you go ahead and wait for Dr. Dean. He should be here soon." Kaia's words immediately made Hailey excited, and she took action.
Hailey said, "Okay, I'll go wait for Dr. Dean first. If you really feel uncomfortable later, you must tell me!"
"Okay, go ahead."
After watching Hailey leave, Kaia immediately climbed over the wall, took out the bag she had hidden in the bushes, changed into Dr. Dean's clothes, and walked towards the entrance of the villa.
As soon as she reached the gate, she saw Hailey welcoming her excitedly.
"Dr. Dean, you're finally here! I've been waiting anxiously. What took you so long? Were you stuck in traffic?" Hailey said with a bright smile as soon as she approached.
"Yes, there was a bit of traffic." As Kaia said this, she felt a particularly noticeable gaze fixed on her.
Focusing her eyes, she realized that Tobias was looking at her, and his eyes held some ambiguous emotions.
Willie put his arm around Tobias's shoulders like a good friend, "Seeing how proactive my sister is, I estimate it won't be long before she wins over Dr. Dean."
"I doubt it." Tobias's eyes never left Kaia.
"What do you mean?" Willie was taken aback for a moment.
Tobias didn't explain, but instead took out his phone and called Kaia.
"I'm sorry, the user you dialed is powered off. Please try again later…"
On the surface, Kaia was listening to Hailey speak, but in reality, she was secretly observing Tobias out of the corner of her eye. She noticed the man took out his phone.
Although they were a bit far apart and she couldn't see what was on his phone screen, she could guess that he was calling her. Fortunately, she had anticipated this and turned off her phone in advance.
Tobias couldn't get through, so he walked up to Hailey and asked, "Where is Kaia? Wasn't she with you just now?"
"She's feeling unwell and went to the restroom," Hailey said.
"Unwell?" Tobias frowned. "Which restroom is she in?"
"It's the restroom next to the orchard, you know the one."
Tobias put his phone back in his pocket. "I'll go find her."
With that, he strode off towards the orchard.
