Carson took a step forward, blocking Hailey's line of sight to Kaia.
"Hailey, are you serious? Are you really in love with him?" Carson asked.
"Of course!" Hailey said.
"No, it can't be. We..." Carson was interrupted before he could finish.
"We are just childhood sweethearts, a relationship that could not be more pure. Carson, I have always treated you as my best friend. Actually, I usually don't want to treat you with such a bad attitude, but you always pester me.
"No matter how much I try to persuade you, you just have to have me. In order to make you give up completely, that's why I have always ignored you."
Speaking of this, Hailey sighed a long sigh. She was really helpless.
She reached out and pulled on Carson's large hand.
"Carson, can we just be good friends? Honestly, besides liking me, you're perfect in every other way. You're kind, humble, excel in your studies, and perform outstandingly at work. You're great in every aspect, and I don't want to lose you as a good friend," Hailey SAID.
Carson lowered his head to look at the soft hand holding his. He was happy that she was touching him, but he couldn't accept what she was saying.
"No! I don't want to just be friends with you. I want you to be my wife, to give me sons and daughters! Hailey, I will never give up on pursuing you, unless you get married!"
Carson yanked his hand away and strode off in the direction where Kaia had left.
Hailey rubbed her wrist and complained, "He's angry?"
Come to think of it, it seemed to be the first time she had seen Carson so angry with her.

Five minutes passed.
Tobias shouted towards the women's restroom again, "Kaia? If you don't come back, I'm coming in."
He still got no response.
Tobias didn't delay any longer and walked straight into the women's restroom without another word.
Kaia arrived just in time to see this.
"No one's here?" Tobias squinted, his deep, intelligent eyes narrowed as he strode out.
As soon as he came out, he saw Kaia dressed as "Dr. Dean."
"Dr. Dean? What are you doing here?" he asked.
"I..." Kaia was cut off by Tobias before she could finish.
"You're not going to tell me you came here to use the restroom, are you?" Tobias asked, studying Kaia. "There's a restroom in the front too. There's no need for you to come all the way here just to use this one, is there?"
Kaia knew that Tobias, being as clever as he was, had already guessed something and was now testing her.
"I heard Hailey say there's a big orchard in the back, so I came to take a look and use the restroom while I was here," Kaia said.
"Oh, is that so."
Kaia could tell that Tobias's tone clearly showed disbelief.
Tobias asked, "Dr. Dean, didn't you need to use the restroom? Why aren't you going?"
"I'm just about to."
Tobias looked at Kaia, and Kaia had a bit of a headache. She was dressed as a man now, and if she was stared at, she couldn't go to the women's restroom.
Luckily, this restroom was near the orchard and relatively secluded, so basically no one came.
Kaia had just stepped into the men's restroom when Tobias followed her in.
"Why are you looking at me like that? Is there a problem with me coming in here to relieve myself?" Tobias continued to probe.
"No problem." Kaia's head hurt more and more.
