Suddenly, Tobias grabbed her arm, "The urinal is over here. Where are you going?"
Tobias pulled Kaia to the urinal. Even with her strong composure, a crack appeared on her face.
"Why aren't you taking off your pants?" Tobias continued to examine Kaia, unperturbed.
When Kaia turned her head, she saw Tobias was unbuckling his belt in front of the urinal.
"I... I need to use the stall."
After speaking, Kaia didn't dare to delay at all. She pulled open the door to the cubicle, walked in, and quickly closed the door.
Tobias looked at the closed cubicle door, the corners of his mouth raised in an arc. He re-buckled his belt, leaned against the sink, and quietly watched the closed door.
Five minutes later, as soon as Kaia opened the cubicle door, she saw Tobias standing there, as if waiting for her.
"Why are you still here?" she asked.
Tobias stepped forward, very close to Kaia.
"It's your first time here. I was worried you wouldn't be familiar with the environment and couldn't find your way. So I deliberately stayed to wait for you to go back together," Tobias said.
"Oh, I see. Thank you, then."
"You're welcome, let's go."
Kaia stole a glance at Tobias, not sure if it was just her imagination, but she felt that Tobias's attitude toward her was different from before, and even the way he looked at her was strange.
As she was thinking, she almost bumped into someone coming towards her. Fortunately, Tobias acted quickly, grabbing her arm and pulling her back.
Looking up, she saw Carson.
Carson looked at Kaia with the eyes of a rival. "Hailey and I have been childhood sweethearts, destined to be husband and wife. I hope you can back out."
"Okay, I'll back out." Kaia nodded.
Carson was stunned for a moment. He had thought of many ways before coming, but he didn't expect that all these methods would be in vain. Kaia didn't play by the rules at all!
"Are... Are you really willing to back out?" Carson asked.
"Yes, you are a match made in heaven, and I have heard of you. You have a good family background, excellent personal strength, and you are so handsome. I support you," Kaia said very seriously.
Carson couldn't see any teasing on Kaia's face, as if she were genuinely blessing him.
"You don't like Hailey?" Carson asked.
Kaia's answer made Carson tense up instantly. "I like her. Hailey is very frank and beautiful. It's hard for anyone to dislike her. But my liking for her is purely a friendship."
Throughout the whole process, Carson's mood was like a roller coaster.
"I can feel that you are telling the truth, then I am relieved. Sorry for bothering you," Carson said.
Looking at Carson, who was about to leave, Kaia called out to stop him.
"You're relieved now? Although I don't have that thought about Hailey, Hailey has it for me."
Carson's heart sank again. He looked at Kaia's face, which was even more handsome than his own, and considered Kaia's identity as a "miracle doctor" as well as Hailey's attitude towards Kaia... The situation seemed very bad.
"Do you know why Hailey refuses to accept you?" Kaia asked.
Carson's eyes widened instantly, "You know?"
Kaia looked at Carson's face and told the truth. "Hailey just mentioned it to me, saying you are too dark."
This answer made Carson open his mouth subconsciously and then smile wryly, "I can't help it. My face is born like this, and it's genetic."
"Genetic?"
"Yes, my ancestors have been this dark." Carson touched his face with a bitter expression.
"Does current medical whitening not work?" Kaia asked again.
Tobias pulled Kaia to the urinal. Even with her strong composure, a crack appeared on her face.
