"If it worked, I would have done whitening long ago."
Kaia stretched out her hand. "Give me your hand."
"What are you doing?" Tobias's face gradually turned cold.
Kaia looked at Tobias with a strange look.
'Was it my imagination? I felt like Tobias got jealous again,' she thought.
That shouldn't be the case. Her current identity was "Dr. Dean," and she was a man.
"Are you going to take my pulse?" Carson guessed.
"Yeah."
Carson sighed a long sigh. "It's not that I doubt your medical skills, but my situation is innate, and there's no way to fix it."
"You're not a doctor, but I am," Kaia said.
She placed her fingers on Carson's pulse without explanation, her brow gradually furrowing.
Seeing Kaia's expression, Carson sighed again. "Dr. Dean, you don't have to bother. I'll have to live with this face for the rest of my life. It's fine. I'm used to it."
Kaia let go of his hand. "You can get used to it, but you can forget about pursuing Hailey. Think about it. Since it's a family legacy, has Hailey ever considered that your future children will also have such dark skin? Perhaps she is considering these things, so no matter how you pursue her, she will never agree."
Upon hearing this, Carson became anxious, "Then, then what should I do? I don't know what to do."
Kaia laughed, "I'll prescribe some medicine for you."
"You, can you really cure it?!"
"It should be effective after a week," Kaia said conservatively.
"However, your genetic factors are too strong. It will take at least half a year to completely cure it with traditional medicine."
Carson was so excited that he grabbed Kaia's hand and began to tremble.
"Thank you, Dr. Dean. As long as you can cure me, you are my boss. I'll listen to all of your advice," Carson said.
Tobias reached out and took Carson's hand away. "Why are you using so much force? What if you hurt Dr. Dean?"
After Tobias said this, Carson noticed that Kaia's hands were tender and fair.
"Dr. Dean, your hands are too tender, even more beautiful than a woman's hands. Is it because you take the medicine you made yourself?"
"I was born this way," Kaia replied truthfully.
Carson felt stabbed. They were both grown men with naturally occurring skin, but there was such a big difference.
Hailey waited anxiously for Dr. Dean in the party hall. "That's strange, where is Dr. Dean? Why can't I find him? And where did Carson go?"
A girl passing by said, "Are you looking for Carson? I just saw him with Dr. Dean."
'Oh no!' Hailey exclaimed inwardly. 'Carson wouldn't have gone to confront Dr. Dean, would he?'
'Dr. Dean is so slender and gentle. What if Carson gets angry and acts impulsively?' she wondered.
The more she thought about it, the more flustered Hailey became. She took off, running as fast as she could in the direction the girl had pointed.
She had only run a short distance when she saw Carson trotting behind Kaia.
"Dr. Dean, if you ever need anything in the future, just give me a call, and I promise to be there immediately. Oh, right, where are you living now?
"Are you comfortable? If not, I'll arrange a nice villa for you. You know about the villas at Pioneer Retreat, right? My family bought one there. If you want, I'll go home and get you the keys."
Kaia stretched out her hand. "Give me your hand."
