Kaia quietly stood up and peeked out the door, but there was no one there.
Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of someone by the window.
Kaia quickly ran to the window, jumped out, grabbed the person's arm, and forcefully pinned it behind their back.
"It hurts! Ouch, my arm is going to break, it's breaking!" That voice was familiar.
Kaia released the person's arm, and a question mark appeared over her head when she saw Russell's face.
"Why is it you?" she said.
Russell said, "If it wasn't me, who else would it be? Ouch! My arm almost broke."
"You can't blame me for this. Who told you to be so sneaky? Why didn't you just come through the door and had to climb through the window?"
"Isn't that because of that jealous maniac from that family!" Russell said in annoyance.
Kaia was puzzled. "What does this have to do with Tobias?"
"That jealous jerk, you know how he is. How could it not be his business? Let me tell you, not long ago, I just praised your beauty, talent, and martial arts in front of him, and he became unhappy. He insisted on having a fight with me, calling it, 'I haven't exercised in a while, let's spar.' What a joke."
Russell felt muscle pain just thinking about the time Tobias beat him to a pulp.
"So? What does all that nonsense and sneaking around here, afraid of being discovered by Tobias, have to do with anything?" Kaia asked suspiciously.
"Okay, I'll get down to business. I opened a gym a while ago, and tomorrow is the first day of its grand opening. Our line of work often faces challenges from others, and I don't have anyone particularly strong here, so I'd like to ask you to help me guard the gym."
Speaking of this, Russell paused.
Then he continued, "I'm just afraid that Tobias will find out that I'm seeing you alone, so I'm observing sneakily."
'So that's how it is,' Kaia suddenly understood.
"Alright, I'll go there tomorrow," she said.
Russell grinned, "You're a true friend. I will remember this favor! If you ever need me to do anything for you in the future, I will definitely go through fire and water without hesitation."
The next day, Kaia followed Russell to the newly opened gym.
As soon as they arrived, Russell received a call from Tobias.
"You took her away?" Tobias asked.
Russell took a deep breath, "I'm just borrowing her for a while. Don't be so stingy."
"If someone borrowed your wife, would you be willing?" Tobias retorted.
Russell gritted his teeth, "Others can't borrow her, but you can."
"As long as you dare to borrow her, and Miss Bennett doesn't object, you can borrow her for as many days as you want."
Saying this, Russell grinned and looked at Kaia, "Miss Bennett, you don't mind, do you?"
Tobias twitched his mouth, a rare sight. "You win this time!"
Russell really wanted to laugh out loud. After being brothers with Tobias for so many years, he was always the one getting the short end of the stick, but now he had finally stumped Tobias.
Kaia looked around the martial arts hall, "The decoration is pretty good."
"Of course, I spent a lot of money. I..." Russell hadn't finished speaking when a group of people came in from outside.
The leader was wearing a black practice suit and walked up to Russell, "Are you the owner?"
"I am. You don't look like you're here to sign up." Suddenly, Russell widened his eyes and looked at the logo on the other person's practice suit: Stormfang Dojo.
"Are you here to challenge us?" Russell asked.
