"You admitted that you're my future wife."
Hearing this, Kaia suddenly understood.
It was because of their earlier conversation.
She wondered, 'How did I accept it so easily? Was I assuming that he was talking about me when he mentioned his future wife?'
The car behind kept honking its horn.
Kaia came back to her senses and reached out to push Tobias away.
"Drive carefully," Kaia said.
"Yes, ma'am!" Tobias was in a good mood and no longer felt hungry.
"There's a food street ahead with many delicious foods. I go there when I have time. I just don't know if you'll get used to it."
"Of course, I'll get used to it. I like anything you eat," he said.
"Really?" Kaia raised an eyebrow, a sly glint in her eyes. "I like durian, but I don't see you eating it."
Tobias's expression faltered slightly. "What do you mean? I still quite like durian."
"Then why do you always watch me when I eat it?"
"That's only because I care about you and save it for you."
Kaia's eyes sparkled with even more amusement. "Listening to your tone, you sound quite aggrieved. How about this, tomorrow I'll buy two large durians, one for me and one for you. Never mind, I'll still save it for you. After all, you always saved it for me before."
Tobias was speechless.
Kaia found Tobias's rare look of frustration amusing.
Soon, they arrived at the hot dog stand.
Kaia came to a hot dog stand. "Boss, give me ten skewers of grilled chicken leg, extra spicy."
Ten minutes later, Kaia handed the grilled chicken leg to Tobias. "Eat up."
Tobias looked at the grilled chicken leg with onions and various condiments, and his stomach had a hard time accepting it.
He said, "Why don't you try it first?"
Kaia rolled her eyes. "You mean, you want me to test it for poison?"
"Forget it, I won't argue with you. I'll eat it to show you."
As she spoke, she took a bite, chewing it with relish.
"This place still makes it the most delicious. Here you go."
Kaia handed the remaining chicken leg in her hand to Tobias. Tobias reached out to take the chicken leg Kaia had just bitten.
She said, "I've eaten this one."
"I know." Tobias said as he ate it.
"How is it? Is it good?"
"Yeah, the chicken leg that my wife has eaten is delicious."
Kaia was speechless.
As night fell, Devin also arrived at Tobias's room.
"Did you get everything done?" Tobias asked.
"Yes," replied Devin.
After hesitating for a couple of seconds, Devin curiously asked Tobias, "Boss, didn't you say that Miss Bennett and Joel couldn't develop that kind of relationship? And you also said that Joel's feelings for Miss Bennett weren't love. In that case, why are you still jealous of Joel?"
Tobias said sternly, "Although I know they don't have that kind of relationship, Joel is a man after all. If it were you, could you accept your wife being surrounded by so-called male confidants all day long?"
Devin scratched the back of his head. "I don't have a wife or a girlfriend, so I can't relate."
After saying that, Devin felt Tobias looking at him with incomparable pity.
He immediately bristled at that, thinking to himself, 'Boss, haven't you only recently fallen in love? Besides, nothing's set in stone yet; Miss Bennett isn't even your official girlfriend, Okay?'
Of course, he only limited these words to his thoughts, because saying them out loud would probably get him killed.
"Do you remember what I asked you to do before?" Tobias asked.
