Kiera didn't hide her arrogance at all. She looked at Kaia as if she were nothing, while Kiera herself stood at the top of the world. Someone like Kaia, weak and alone, was born to be crushed under her feet.
Feeling the blatant contempt in Kiera's eyes, Kaia pressed her lips together, meeting her gaze with proud defiance. She replied with quiet confidence, "Of course, I believe in myself."
Kiera let out a wild, mocking laugh, but it cut off abruptly. She said coldly, "Go on, ruin her face. You've got ten minutes. If you can't do it, pack your bags and leave!"
These words shocked all the men, and they looked at Kaia again as if they were hunters preparing to catch a deer.
"Guys, fight with your lives!" one of them shouted.
"Yeah!" the group roared back.
Kaia noticed that the aura of these people had clearly intensified, and she could even sense a murderous intent emanating from them.
At this moment, she became even more alert, her eyes scanning in all directions and her ears tuned to every sound around her.
"Charge!" Kiera's men surged forward relentlessly, attacking one after another.
Kaia unleashed every fighting skill she'd ever learned—martial art, boxing, and countless others. She showed flawless mastery of every technique, leaving everyone, including Kiera, completely stunned.
Seeing that her men were truly fighting desperately yet still hadn't managed to take Kaia down, Kiera began to grow anxious.
Even though this place was deserted, that didn't mean no one would pass by. With so much noise and the situation dragging on, if someone happened to notice and called the police, they would miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
As she thought it over, Kiera's eyes flashed with a wicked idea. She pulled a special bottle out of her bag, a sinister grin spreading across her face.
She shoved her way through her men and, while Kaia was distracted, unleashed a forceful blast right into her face.
Kaia was ready for a fight, but outnumbered and overwhelmed, she couldn't dodge the attack in time. She got sprayed in the face, her eyes burning painfully and her vision blurred.
As a skilled healer, she instantly guessed that what Kiera had sprayed was pepper spray.
"Kiera, what you've done utterly shames the proud reputation of your entire family. Attacking me with so many people would be bad enough, but and the most disgraceful of all is that you ambushed me in secret—and even used pepper spray!"
As members of the combat division, all of her people had been trained under the strictest codes. Now, ashamed by Kiera's actions, they all lowered their heads in embarrassment.
"Cut the nonsense. You're just trying to buy time, aren't you?" Kiera showed no shame in her actions as she barked at her people again, "What are you all standing around for? Get in there, now!"
But no matter how loudly she shouted, her men remained motionless.
Kiera knew exactly they'd been shaken by Kaia's words.
"Idiot! All of you are useless!"
"Fine! If you won't do it, I will!"
Kiera yanked a dagger out of her boot and went straight for Kaia's face, her movements wild and vicious.
With her eyes blurred, Kaia had to rely on her ears to sense her opponents' positions. Facing Kiera's relentless, rain-like assault, she barely managed to dodge each strike.
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" Kiera jabbed dozens of times in a row, not landing a single hit, driving her absolutely frantic.
"I refuse to give up—I'm going to tear your face apart, today!" Kiera screamed.
Just then, Kaia's heel snagged on something, and she stumbled, losing her balance.
