Kaia couldn't help but make a face. If she wasn't stuck like this, there's no way she'd ever let Tobias touch her bra.
As she mulled it over, her eyes suddenly went wide.
"Just take it, okay? And don't get any funny ideas, like sniffing it," she snapped at him.
Tobias had just picked up the bra when Kaia shot that at him.
"Hey, I'm not that much of a perv. If I really wanted, I could just wait for our wedding night and have all the fun I want. But now that you've said it... are you trying to tempt me?" he teased.
Kaia couldn't take it anymore. "Just give it to me and get out—now!"
"But if I leave, how are you supposed to put it on?" Tobias teased, his grin never fading as he walked over to the bed. "I could help you out, you know. Since you can't see anything at the moment, it's not like it matters, right?"
Kaia took a deep breath, clenching her fists.
"I've left the clothes here. I'm heading out." With that, Tobias immediately turned and walked away.
Once she heard the door click shut, Kaia finally started changing. When she was done, she stepped out of the room.
The moment she opened the door, Tobias's big hand wrapped around hers, and his other arm slid around her waist. His deep, smooth voice rumbled right next to her ear.
"Don't even think about refusing. You can't see a thing, and you're not exactly steady on your feet. If you keep resisting, I'll just have to carry you downstairs in my arms like a princess," he teased.
Kaia knew he wasn't joking. If she really tried to refuse, he'd be more than happy to scoop her up and carry her down in front of everyone.
"Fine, let's go," she muttered.
Tobias's lips curled in a sly smile as he drew her even closer, shamelessly tightening his hold on her waist.
This guy was the kind who would climb up and mess everything up if she gave him a ladder.
In the end, Kaia didn't say another word and simply let Tobias guide her downstairs.
Watching Kaia and Tobias getting all cozy, Kiera was dead sure they were just faking it for show.
She had always thought so, and just now on the road, she had received a call from Gavyn, who was filming far away.
He'd threatened her—if anything happened to Kaia, he'd make her pay for it, even if it cost her life.
Kiera had never seen Gavyn this pissed off before. It made her tense to the bone. If Gavyn didn't care about Kaia, he wouldn't be this angry.
Just as Kiera was giving Kaia the evil eye, Victor strode past her, halted right in front of Kaia, and bowed low in apology.
"I'm sorry! Really, I'm so sorry! I can't apologize enough—I deserve to die a thousand deaths!" he said, voice thick with guilt.
"Grandpa?" Kiera gasped, eyes wide.
"Dad?" Zane echoed, just as shocked.
"Victor!" someone else exclaimed, their voice trembling.
The whole family was left reeling in shock, except for Victor's brothers, Maxime and Grant.
Back at home, Maxime and Grant had been puzzled. Even if the Yates family was at fault, Victor didn't need to punish Kiera so harshly,
But now they finally got it. It turned out the person their reckless granddaughter tried to mess with was none other than Kaia Bennett—the nation's treasure.
This was unforgivable.
With that realization, Maxime and Grant stepped forward, just like Victor, bowing low in apology.
"Kiera committed a terrible crime. Do as you please with her— even if you take her out and execute her now, we wouldn't object."
"Grandpa Maxime? Grandpa Grant?" Kiera stammered, staring in disbelief at Maxime and Grant, who had always doted on her. Her heart was in turmoil, and she just couldn't calm down.
Tobias's eyes narrowed, deep and mysterious as ever. He looked past Victor and the rest, before finally landing his gaze on Kaia.
As she mulled it over, her eyes suddenly went wide.
