Most genius-level folks aren't blessed in the looks department, and those who are cute are usually clueless. But Dr. Bennett is not only an absolute genius, she looks like an angel! What kind of man could be worthy of a woman like that?
"I used to think Miss Bennett was super, but compared to Dr. Bennett, she's a step behind. What am I even supposed to do? Miss Bennett is honestly great. I wish she could be my boss's wife. Dr. Bennett's amazing, too, but..."

Joel shot Devin a look and said, "Don't sweat it."
"How can I not? Seriously, you're Dr. Bennett's bodyguard and Miss Bennett's buddy. Who do you actually ship my boss with?" Devin asked, super serious.

Kaia told Tobias to sit across from her, but Tobias stayed put, stubbornly refusing to move and still occupying the seat right next to her.
"Actually, it's about the new nanomaterial. I wanted to pick your brain and get some in-depth insight," Tobias said.
"About what, exactly?" Kaia replied.
"Our company has started putting the new nanomaterial into production, but we're hitting some serious snags along the way..." Tobias explained.
Tobias laid out every single detail of the current situation for Kaia.
After listening closely, Kaia replied, "Honestly, this version of the new nanomaterial isn't perfect."
"Not perfect? What do you mean by that?" Tobias pressed.
"It's what it sounds like. No technology ever starts perfectly, and there's always room for improvement. That's how science moves forward. Our institute is working hard to refine and upgrade the new nanomaterial. However, it's going to be an ongoing, long-term project. Breakthroughs won't happen overnight," Kaia explained.
Tobias couldn't help but watch Kaia. She was focused and sharp. Even she was wrapped up and covered, he could sense her passion for her work shining through.
Once Kaia finished her words, she suddenly caught Tobias staring right at her.
"What's up? Did I say something weird?" she asked.
"No, not at all. Honestly, Dr. Bennett, you totally live up to your legend. You give off this aura, like you're right at the top of the game. You outshine any scientist or professor I've ever met," Tobias said.
"You don't have to make me sound all super. I'm only good at this field, that's it," Kaia said.
Tobias burst out laughing. "Dr. Bennett, you're literally the master of humblebrag! If those scientists ever heard you talk like this, they'd be stunned."
"Seriously, I'm not humblebragging at all. I'm speaking the truth," Kaia replied.
"Talk about speaking the truth!" Tobias applauded, then suddenly leaned right up to Kaia's face. "Honestly, Dr. Bennett, the way you said that sounded exactly like a friend of mine. For a split second, I could've sworn you two were the same person."
Kaia's heart nearly jumped out of her chest. She thought. 'If I weren't good at keeping my cool, I swear I would've blown my cover just now.'
"Is that so?" Kaia replied, acting super casual like she wasn't bothered by the whole topic at all.
"You actually know that person," Tobias went on, still watching Kaia's every move. Even though he hadn't spotted any cracks, he knew in his gut that his hunch was right.
