'Wait, is Tobias really gonna betray Kaia?' Griffin panicked at the thought. 'No way, I gotta call Kaia and tell her this bombshell.'
However, he made several calls, but no one answered.
Griffin was so anxious that he was scratching his head and ears, muttering uncontrollably, "Please answer the phone!"
Griffin called Kaia two more times, but still got no answer.
"Forget it, just waiting around won't solve anything. I'll just head out and see if I can find Kaia myself," Griffin muttered.
Griffin, phone in hand, hurriedly jogged away.
Judith and Jameson peeked out from behind the wall, secretly watching Griffin leave.
Just as Jameson was about to lean out more than halfway, Judith quickly patted his shoulder. "Be careful, don't let Griffin catch you."
Jameson immediately pulled half his body back. "I'm being careful; he didn't notice. But looking at how anxious he is, he's probably going to find Kaia, right?"
"Of course he is! You know how our hopeless son sticks to Kaia like he's her shadow every single day. After hearing what we said, it'd be strange if he didn't go tattling to her," Judith scoffed.
"You really are the mastermind, honey. We didn't even have to lift a finger, and the news is already on its way to Kaia," Jameson said.
Thinking about all the changes in Tobias because of Kaia, Judith felt intense resentment towards Kaia, a thick shadow suddenly appearing in her eyes. "Anyway, I will absolutely not let Kaia live so comfortably!"

Griffin drove out from home and rushed straight to the research institute. Just as he arrived at the entrance, he saw Kaia coming out for some fresh air.
He slammed on the brakes and got out of the car. "Kaia, Kaia, something terrible has happened!"
Kaia looked puzzled. "What major event has you so panicked?"
Griffin told Kaia everything he had overheard from his parents. "I kept trying to call you about this, but you didn't answer any of my calls. So I had to drive out to find you."
"For real?" A complex, indescribable emotion flickered in Kaia's striking eyes.
After a moment to collect her thoughts, she pulled out her phone from her pocket and saw several missed calls from Griffin. "I had my phone on silent at the institute, didn't hear it."
"Then... what now? You don't think Tobias would betray you, do you?"
"No way," Kaia replied, her tone steady and full of confidence. "But even if Tobias isn't about to turn on me, that woman definitely has an agenda. I'm going to go meet her."
Griffin volunteered eagerly, thumping his chest. "Let me go with you. You won't need to lift a finger; I'll tear that bitch apart for you."
Not long ago, Tobias had even announced that he was getting married at the start of the year.
'For Grace to still be clinging around, isn't she just a bitch?' Griffin thought, rolling his eyes.
"No need." Kaia lifted her chin, an innate confidence flowing between her brows. "I have plenty of ways to deal with her."
Griffin blinked, looking at her eagerly. "If you don't need my help, then I won't do anything. Just take me along. I won't do anything, I just want to watch the drama and enjoy the gossip."
