"Yeah, my cousin and his wife were totally different after their trip. Whether it'll have the same effect on you and Kaia, well, that's up to you two," Devin said with a sly grin.
Tobias shot Devin a weird look, then thought for a moment and said, "Make arrangements for us in a couple of days."
"Got it, Mr. Moreno!" Devin replied, practically buzzing with excitement, as if he were the one taking a girlfriend.
Meanwhile, at the Adkins Residence, Grace returned home and first threw a massive tantrum.
After she had vented most of her anger, she took out her phone and called Kiera. "Kiera, I'm back in the country. Let's find some time to meet up."
"Sure, but I've been a bit busy lately. Let's talk after I finish up this period," Kiera replied.
"No rush, go take care of your stuff. I'll be sticking around here for a while, so we can meet up whenever," Grace assured her, then paused before adding, "But there's something I want to discuss with you now. Is it a good time to talk?"
Kiera replied, "Of course, go ahead."
"I heard that Kaia's been treating you like crap lately? As your best friend, say the word. I'll give her a piece of my mind for you." Grace said, heatedly.
Hearing Grace mention Kaia's name, Kiera frowned and quickly spoke to stop her. "That's not necessary."
"Is your grandfather nearby, so you're saying you don't need it?" Grace guessed.
"Don't overthink it. Seriously, I said I don't need it, and I mean it. We can hang out, and I'll let you know as soon as I get a break. But that other thing? Just let it go, okay?" Kiera said.
"Alright, whatever, I get it. Catch you later," Grace replied and hung up. She didn't overthink it, just chalked it up to Kiera playing it safe because her grandpa was there.
After all, Kiera's grandpa had always been strict with her, so it made sense she'd never agree to anything when he was around.
But Grace wasn't bothered one bit. If Kiera wasn't going to make a move, then she'd take action herself and mobilize Kiera's fans to ruin Kaia's reputation.
Thinking this, a sinister light gleamed in Grace's eyes. After hanging up on Kiera, she immediately called someone else. "I want you to collect photos and videos of Gavyn and Kaia together as quickly as possible."
"Yes ma'am," the person replied.
It didn't take long before Grace got exactly what she wanted.
She picked out several particularly provocative photos and sent them all to Kiera, along with several messages below the photos.
