Although Grace said this, she believed she was cooperating with Kiera, and these words were for Kiera's grandfather to hear.
Kiera detected the perfunctory tone in Grace's voice and emphasized more severely. "Grace, Kaia's identity is far more complicated than you think. I advise you to stop immediately, don't continue doing this. If things escalate to an irreparable point, I'm afraid no one could save you."
As a friend, Grace had done all she could to warn her. If Grace still didn't get the message, then there was no hope left for her.
Grace played nicely. "Kiera, I get it, really. No need to say more. I will delete all those things."
Kiera frowned, unsure for a moment whether Grace believed her or not.
'She must believe me, right? I spelled it out for her,' Kiera thought.
Still, she couldn't help but add one last warning. "You'd better keep your word, or you'll be digging your own grave."
"Got it, Kiera. If there's nothing else, I'll hang up now," Grace said, mentally noting she'd put on enough of a show for Grace's grandpa and could finally end the call.
"Yeah," Kiera replied coolly, but before hanging up, she felt compelled to give Grace one last warning. "Remember what I said. You better not brush it off."
Grace replied quickly, "Got it."
After hanging up, Grace watched the rumors spread and fester online exactly as she'd expected, her lips curling into a dark, wicked grin.
After hearing Kiera's words, she not only refrained from stopping but instead redoubled her efforts, hiring more paid posters to push the matter to a new crescendo.

Meanwhile, Tobias stared at the vicious rumors swirling online about Kaia, his eyes burning with barely contained fury.
He looked up at Devin, his voice as cold as ice.
"Did you find out everything I asked you to?" Tobias demanded.
Devin nodded quickly. "Yes, it's all taken care of."
Tobias slowly got up from the couch, his eyes brewing a deadly chill, like a blizzard about to break loose.
"Move out," he said.
Devin quickly caught up to him. "On it."
On the outskirts of Morganburg, at an abandoned factory, a man was kneeling on the ground, his face swollen and bruised, his whole body covered in ugly purple and blue marks.
The lead bodyguard was grilling him.
"You got a wire transfer yesterday afternoon. Who sent you the money?" the bodyguard demanded.
Leo swallowed hard, his whole body trembling uncontrollably as he looked at the wall of bodyguards surrounding him.
"I... I swear, I have no idea who sent me that money," Leo stammered, voice cracking with fear.
The lead bodyguard flexed his knuckles, the joints popping menacingly in the heavy silence.
"Still playing dumb? Or maybe you think the pain wasn't memorable enough? Want me to make sure you never forget?" the bodyguard hissed.
With that, he stalked closer to Leo, looming threateningly over him.
Just as the fist was about to come down, Leo was scared out of his wits, scrambling backward in a panic, desperate to get away.
"I'll talk. I'll talk, just don't hit me. Please, don't hit me." Leo begged.
Seeing the bodyguard pause, Leo didn't dare hesitate and rushed to explain himself. "The money was transferred through multiple anonymous accounts before finally reaching mine. I have no idea who actually sent it."
"You didn't even know who wired you the cash, and you still took their word and started spouting crap online?" the bodyguard taunted.
"I got greedy, alright? I just couldn't say no to a hundred grand for doing basically nothing, so I went along with it. I swear, I'll never pull anything like this again. Please, just let me live." Leo pleaded.
The lead bodyguard flashed a cold, unsettling smile.
Leo kept sobbing, desperation etched on his face. "Please, I'm begging you. Don't hurt me. I was just doing what someone paid me to do. I swear it wasn't my idea."
