Stinging pain spread across her cheek. Grace clutched her face, turning tearfully to her mother. "Mom! Look! He hit me! He hit me because of an outsider!"
Delilah didn't console her. Instead, she scolded her sharply. "Serves you right! Who told you to do something so stupid? Maybe this will make you remember!"
Finding no support from anyone, Grace covered her face, let out a loud sob, and ran upstairs.
"Grace!" Ezekiel shouted after her.
Ignoring him, Grace fled to her room and slammed the door shut with a heavy bang.
Heart-wrenching sobs could be heard through the door.
Ezekiel felt utterly helpless and utterly furious with his daughter, a massive headache pounding behind his eyes. "Tobias, I'm really sorry. My daughter is completely undisciplined. This is utterly shameful."
Tobias finally looked back at Ezekiel, his eyes holding a cold, unyielding detachment."Mr. Adkins, out of respect for the long history between our families, I will let this matter rest here. But this is the first and last time.
"There are many things I can overlook, but my fiancée is my final line. If anything like this happens again, do not expect any mercy from me."
Ezekiel quickly assured him, "Don't worry, Tobias. I'll make sure Grace learns her lesson and doesn't cause you any more trouble. This was our fault, and I apologize on her behalf."
"Yeah," Tobias responded indifferently and slowly stood up. "If that's all, I'll take my leave. There are still matters awaiting me at the company."
Ezekiel stood as well. "Tobias, let me walk you out."
"Don't bother." Tobias snapped, his tone ice-cold.
Ezekiel stopped. "Alright then, Tobias, take care. I won't see you out."
Tobias didn't acknowledge him and strode out of the Adkins residence.
Seated in the limited-edition Maybach, he instructed Devin coolly, "Erase all negative posts about Kaia online. If any of those gossip accounts dare to repost anything, ban them immediately. No exceptions."
Devin acknowledged, "Understood, Sir."
Then, remembering something, he asked, "And what about Leo, the one Grace hired to manage the trolls?"
"Send him straight to prison." Tobias would not let anyone who hurt Kaia get away lightly.
"You got it." Devin turned the steering wheel, glancing cautiously at Tobias in the rearview mirror. "Sir, did you really let Grace off that easily?"
It didn't seem like Tobias's style, so he couldn't help asking.
Tobias smirked, a chill flashing in his eyes. "Let her off? Do you think that's possible?"
Devin looked confused. "So what are you saying?"
Tobias said, "I've made my expectations clear to Ezekiel. That old fox knows exactly what I meant. He'll know what needs to be done without me lifting a finger. If he doesn't… well, we'll cross that bridge then. But make no mistake, I will not let Grace get away lightly for trying to ruin Kaia's reputation."

Back at the Adkins residence, Grace was holed up in her room, her eyes so swollen it looked like she'd been stung by bees.
After crying herself out, the more she thought about what happened downstairs, the more resentful she became.
A raging fire burned in her chest, threatening to consume her last shreds of reason.
Just then, her bedroom door was unlocked with a spare key, and Ezekiel walked in.
He said, "Right now, you're opening a livestream on your account and apologizing to Kaia. I want every single person on the internet to see just how sincere you are."
