She really didn't want to resort to force. But this blond guy's repeated harassment was genuinely irritating.
Mason, seeing Kaia silent, thought she was considering it.
"Stop thinking about it. Just be good and give me your number. I'll take you out to have some fun," he pressed.
"You're insane." Kaia rolled her eyes and turned to walk away.
Seeing Kaia remain completely unreceptive, Mason's patience was wearing thin. He was just about to step in front of her again when sudden screams erupted around them.
Following the source of the sound, Kaia looked over and was momentarily stunned by the scene before her.
Tobias was walking over, wearing sunglasses, his steps purposeful and his aura intimidating. Dozens of bodyguards followed behind him.
The scale and grandeur of the scene were beyond spectacular.
Arriving in front of Kaia, Tobias slowly removed his sunglasses, causing another wave of screams from the onlookers.
"Oh my god, he's so hot. My heart can't take it."
"I can't believe a guy this gorgeous actually exists. He looks like he wandered straight out of a manga."
"Exactly! I doubt even manga could replicate his level of handsomeness one-to-one."
Seeing Tobias approach, Mason felt a strong sense of crisis rising within him. "You... who are you?"
Tobias narrowed his eyes, his gaze icy and downright deadly. "You really think you can hit on my girl? Take a wild guess who I am, pal."
With that, he walked over, reached out, and possessively, assertively wrapped his arm around Kaia's waist.
Kaia looked at the spectacular scene and Tobias's overwhelming actions, the corner of her mouth twitching uncontrollably. "Why did you make such a grand entrance?"
Tobias let out a light, dismissive snort. "Someone is trying to steal my woman. Can't I bring some people to make a point?"
Kaia just gave him the world's biggest eye-roll. "How childish can you be?"
"Let's not worry about childish for now." Tobias swept his gaze around the area. "It got the job done, didn't it?"
Kaia was momentarily speechless. After a moment of silence, she responded, "Whatever makes you happy."
"Obviously. A real man never backs down when it's time to show who's boss," Tobias said, wrapping his arm a little tighter around Kaia's waist, his tone dripping with a hint of sulky jealousy.
"Honestly, you are just way too beautiful. Wherever you go, someone tries to hit on you. If I could, I'd take you home and lock you up, so only I could see you," he added.
Kaia patted his hand, signaling him to loosen his grip a bit. "Sure. Let's see if you have what it takes to lock me up."
Watching them chat as if no one else was there, Mason's anger surged. "Be smart. Hand the lady over. I'm taking her with me."
Tobias narrowed his dark eyes, his tone laced with a deadly chill. "It seems you have a death wish."
Mason burst into uproarious laughter as if he'd heard the biggest joke, doubling over. "You say I have a death wish? I think you're the one asking for trouble! Do you even know who I am? How dare you try to take a woman I've set my eyes on!"
"Oh?" Tobias's tone lifted slightly, the cold in his eyes spreading outwards. "I'm curious. Do tell, who are you?"
