With a teasing grin, Devin said, "Congrats! You chased after Miss Bennett for ages, and now the clouds have cleared up for you. She gave you a ring. Man, you've totally swept her off her feet this time."
Tobias looked absolutely satisfied with Devin's answer, idly turning the ring around on his finger, the proud smile lingering on his face.
"Since you put it that way, from now on, start calling her Mrs. Moreno. 'Miss Bennett' just sounds way too distant now," Tobias said.
He'd been wanting the villa staff to start calling Kaia "Mrs. Moreno" for ages.
But because of Kaia's personality, he'd always held himself back, trying not to push her.
Now that Kaia had given him the ring herself, it meant she was ready for them to be bonded for life.
So calling her "Mrs. Moreno" was just a matter of time, and Tobias was sure Kaia wouldn't mind at all.
Devin grinned and said, "Honestly, Ms. Moreno, 'Mrs. Moreno' just feels right. Should I spread the word and have everyone in the villa start calling her that?"
"Not for now, just try it yourself for a while and let me see how Kaia takes it. If she's cool with it, then you can tell the rest," Tobias replied.
Even though Tobias figured Kaia probably wouldn't mind, he didn't want to get ahead of himself and risk making her feel awkward.
When it came to anything involving Kaia, Tobias was always super cautious.
"Will do, Ms. Moreno," Devin nodded.
Tobias nodded, letting his gaze linger on the ring.
As he stared, Tobias found himself lost in thought, his brow drawing together.
"Doesn't this ring Kaia made for me kind of remind you of that international designer Valery's style?" he asked.
Devin studied it for a good while. "Yeah, I see what you mean. Maybe Mrs. Moreno's a Valery fan, so she naturally went for a similar look. Valery's basically the gold standard for designers.
"Everyone's chasing her vibe, from here to overseas. I'll bet she got some inspiration from Valery's work when she came up with this."
Tobias had been a bit doubtful at first, but after listening to Devin, he found his suspicions melting away.
"Honestly, doesn't matter what style Kaia goes with. If it's from her, I'll be head over heels for it," Tobias said.

That evening, it was time for dinner.
Tobias served Kaia some food, even took the time to remove every last fish bone for her.
And in another bowl, there was nothing but perfectly peeled, juicy shrimp.
After double-checking to make sure every shrimp was perfectly peeled, Tobias placed the bowl in front of Kaia.
"Have some more, Kaia," he said gently.
Kaia didn't hold back—she added a piece of rib to Tobias's bowl in return.
"You should eat too. Let's dig in together," she told him.
Tobias's eyes sparkled with warmth. "Alright."
The way they treated each other was so sweet, it was almost too cute to handle.
It was like the whole room was filled with a sweet aura. Even the servants couldn't help but smile, silently wishing them all the best.
Outside the door, Judith was passing by and happened to witness the whole moment.
She ground her teeth, her eyes instantly growing dark and stormy.
Jameson, who was following her, saw her stop and asked in confusion, "What's up?"
"Just look at Kaia—she's so full of herself just because Tobias dotes on her! Seriously, I can't stand that smug face of hers!" Judith spat.
Judith glared daggers at Kaia, her gaze so vicious it looked like she wanted to tear her to shreds.
Seeing his wife this upset, Jameson reached out and gently patted Judith's shoulder, trying to soothe her nerves.
"Come on now, don't let someone as pathetic as her get under your skin. It's not worth ruining your mood over Kaia. Let's put our heads together and figure out how to kick her out of the Moreno family—make sure she can never get close to Tobias again," he murmured.
Of course, Griffin just happened to catch the whole conversation.
