Griffin didn't leave right away; he stood in the corner, curious to hear what his dad and mom would say next.
Judith had no clue Griffin was nearby. She was still plotting how to put Kaia in her place.
Suddenly, she narrowed her eyes, her voice laced with a cold edge.
"Reach out to Grace again. This time, let's work together to take Kaia down," Judith said.
Jameson frowned, memories of Grace's public apology flooding back to him.
"But honestly, Grace was useless last time. She made a huge scene, and it didn't even cause a ripple," he muttered.
"Don't jump to conclusions," Judith said, a sly glint flashing in her eyes, her smile loaded with intent. "I've seen Grace grow up.
"She's not someone who backs down easily, especially after Kaia made her lose face in front of everyone. Trust me, she's probably cooking up a plan to get back at Kaia right now."
Jameson's eyes lit up at her words.
"If that's really the case, that's perfect! We don't even need to reach out to Grace ourselves. Let her make the first move, and then we'll help her from the shadows. Together, we'll crush Kaia and make sure she never gets back up," he said.
"Good point. No need to talk to her, we'll just move in secret," Judith added.
Her lips curled into a cruel grin. "I can hardly wait to see Kaia thrown out of the Moreno family, humiliated and defeated."
Just as they finished talking, Griffin emerged from the shadows of the corner.
He marched right up to Judith and Jameson, grabbed them by the arms without warning, and dragged them outside.
Inside the gazebo, Judith yanked her arm free from Griffin's grip, her brows furrowing in annoyance.
"Griffin, what is this about? What's gotten into you, dragging me and your dad out here like this?" she snapped.
Jameson already had a pretty good idea what was up, but he played dumb. "Yeah, Griffin, if you've got something to say, just spit it out. No need for all this drama dragging us out here."
"You seriously want to ask me that?" Griffin's eyes flared with anger, just thinking about how his parents were scheming against Kaia.
"I know all about your last attempt to sabotage Tobias and Kaia's relationship. I wanted to confront you back then, but since they're solid and your plans failed, I kept quiet.
"But now you're at it again, still targeting Kaia? This is a huge mistake. I'm telling you, stop while you still can—otherwise, you'll end up regretting it," Griffin snapped.
Judith just stood there in shock, completely blindsided that her own son was actually yelling at her. It was like her brain short-circuited for a moment—she couldn't believe Griffin would talk to her that way.
Sure, Griffin had always been wild—arrogant, reckless, doing whatever he wanted out in the world. Nobody could tell him what to do.
But at home, he always played the role of the dutiful son, listening to everything she said, never even thinking of going against her wishes.
And now, the boy she'd pampered since he was little was pushing back—all because of Kaia. Judith could hardly wrap her head around it.
The more Judith thought about it, the angrier she got. Her chest heaved with rage, her face turning sickly pale. She looked absolutely livid.
"Griffin, what on earth has Kaia done to you? Has she brainwashed you or something? Why are you defending her so fiercely—even going against us for her?" Judith snapped.
