"You do have your ear to the ground," Kaia said.
"Of course. I'm the head of the SR Alliance. Sweet Kaia, want me to take care of it for you? Kick that Moreno guy out of your life?" Wilson's deep blue eyes narrowed into slits.
"Our engagement ends in a few days. After that, we'll just go our own ways, nothing left between us," Kaia replied casually.
"Oh, that's good," Wilson said.
"It's getting late. If there's nothing else, I'm gonna hang up now," Kaia said.
"Alright, I'll let you get some sleep," Wilson replied.
After hanging up, Wilson immediately called his assistant over.
"Boss, you called?" the assistant asked.
"Check my private jet. I'm heading to Wustriland in a few days," Wilson said.
The assistant looked puzzled. "Why Wustriland?"
Wilson gave a wicked grin. "Gonna snatch my woman and bring her back."
Kaia gave a little shudder. 'Ugh, who's gossiping about me at this hour?' she thought.
She rolled her eyes. 'Whatever, time to wash up and hit the sack,' she told herself.

Meanwhile, back in the Moreno family, Griffin was losing it.
"Is this how you do things? I told you to hire top-tier killers, didn't I? How did they all get wiped out? There were over a dozen of you, and you couldn't even take down a single bodyguard?" Griffin shouted.
His subordinate was shaking like a leaf. "Um, well... Devin was there too."
"I know Devin is tough, but no matter how good he is, a dozen guys can't even handle two people? And that Frank guy is just a rookie bodyguard," Griffin said.
"Boss, there's something you might not know. I just did some digging on this Frank guy. He may be new, but he can go toe-to-toe with Devin," the subordinate replied.
"No way, he's that good?" Griffin was stunned for a moment.
"Not only that, but I heard from the bodyguards who made it back that this Frank guy might even be better than Devin. He even used the Overlord Blow," the subordinate added.
"You're not messing with me, are you? Devin is Tobias's top guy. He's not just good at his job, but he's a beast in a fight. And you're telling me this Frank guy is even better? Wait... Overlord Blow? Why does that sound so familiar?" Griffin asked.
"It's Joel's signature move," the subordinate replied.
Griffin's eyes widened, and he raised his voice. "Joel?"
"Yeah, that's his signature move," the subordinate confirmed.
Griffin rubbed his chin. "Now that you mention it, I remember watching Joel's fights back in the day. That Overlord Blow move is absolutely brutal—hits like a ton of bricks. If I'm not mistaken, tons of people have tried to copy it, but it's almost impossible to pull off. How the hell does this Frank guy know it... Could he be connected to Joel somehow?"
He turned to his subordinate. "Go find out everything you can about Frank. The moment you get anything, report back to me."
"Yes, Mr. Moreno," the subordinate replied.
Summer was scorching hot. It was Tuesday, the fifth anniversary of the institute, and as the boss, Kaia had to treat everyone to a big dinner.
Early that morning, Kaia got a text from the team at the institute.
[We'll be waiting for you at the Splendor Hotel. Don't forget to come.] One staff member messaged.
[Got it.] Kaia replied.
She left at ten.
She grabbed a cab and, half an hour later, pulled up in front of the Splendor Hotel.
As soon as she stepped out, she heard a familiar voice.
