Right now, she was just a plaything in Kaia's hand—a grasshopper trapped in her palm, no matter how she struggled, she couldn't escape Kaia's control.
That thought made her resentment for Kaia boil over; she was dying to shred Kaia to pieces right then and there.
But there was nothing she could do. She was totally powerless, left standing there, glaring at Kaia.
Kaia looked up, meeting Beatrice's furious glare with a face that was utterly unreadable, not a hint of emotion flickering across her features.
"Someone with a lousy character like you has no place at Morganburg University," Kaia said coldly, her tone sharp as a blade. "Consider yourself done. Tomorrow, Morganburg's officially kicking you out."
Beatrice snapped, pointing furiously at Kaia, her voice sassy and dripping sarcasm.
"Oh, you think you can just wave your hand and get me expelled? Who do you think you are, huh? Sure, maybe the old principal was willing to bend the rules for you, but that doesn't mean you get to run things however you want!.
"Andrea only got kicked out because she was dumb enough to cross the line, but I'm nothing like her. My grades beat hers by miles, and the Moretti family is on a whole other level compared to the Bennetts—like you could ever measure up.
"Plus, my family's poured a fortune into this place! You really believe the school would actually throw me out, just because you say so?"
"Just wait for tomorrow's announcement," Kaia said, her voice cool and unwavering. With that, she turned and walked away without another word.
Beatrice watched Kaia's figure disappear, hate smoldering in her eyes and her face contorted with rage, every nerve afire with fury.
'You really think you can just say that and get me expelled? What a joke,' she thought to herself, her mind seething with contempt.
'I'm not stupid. I can see right through your cheap scare tactics,' Beatrice sneered in her thoughts.
'Fine, I'll wait and see. Tomorrow, when I show up at school, I'll make you eat your words, Kaia. I'll show you just how wrong you are.'

The next day, Beatrice snapped her fingers for a servant to bring her freshly ironed outfit—naturally, she wouldn't lift a finger herself.
While she was waiting, her phone, sitting on the table, suddenly buzzed.
'Who even bothers messaging me this early?' Beatrice thought, eyebrow raised in mild annoyance.
She grabbed her phone, rolling her eyes in boredom as she lit up the screen.
But when the notification suddenly flashed up on her screen, she turned as pale as a sheet, and her lips quivered from sheer shock—so stunned that she almost forgot how to breathe.
'I... I really got expelled?' Beatrice thought, her head spinning, totally unable to accept it.
'Is this legit, or is someone just messing with me?' she wondered, her heart pounding like crazy.
Unwilling to believe it, Beatrice kept rereading the message, desperate to find some mistake or proof it wasn't true.
But after double-and triple-checking, seeing again and again that it was really from Morganburg University's official account, her heart dropped. She actually staggered, nearly collapsing where she stood.
Beatrice sank down onto the edge of her bed, her face drained of all color, and couldn't help but replay Kaia's words from yesterday, echoing in her mind.
Kaia had told her to wait for the news today, and sure enough, she really had been expelled from Morganburg University.
Beatrice just couldn't wrap her head around it. She wondered how Kaia had that kind of power. She just said the word, and Beatrice was out, no questions asked, no chance to fight back.
And the biggest question of all—with the old principal laid up in the hospital and a new one now in charge, what exactly was Kaia's relationship with the new principal?
Thinking about that, Beatrice couldn't help imagining that manipulative face of Kaia's again, and her resentment only burned hotter.
'If I'm right, Kaia's just using that pretty face of hers to seduce the new principal and get him to do whatever she wants,' Beatrice fumed, her mind spinning with jealousy and suspicion.
The more Beatrice thought about it, the more her anger boiled over. She just couldn't stand the idea of Kaia getting away with it.
'No way am I letting this slide,' Beatrice thought, her eyes narrowing with determination. 'I have to dig into whatever's really going on between Kaia and the new principal.
'Once I find their dirty little secret, I'll make sure the whole school knows about their shameless antics.'

Outside the villa, Kaia was just about to step inside, holding a lunch container, when she caught Tobias's low, angry shout echoing from within.
