"Kurapika...I...I love you," you say.
Kurapika lets out a laugh. "That's your confession? Well, in that case, I also have a confession. I love you as well, (Y/N)."
Your lips curve upward into a mischievous smile as you continue to grind your hips against Kurapika.
Afraid you'll lose Kurapika forever, you decide to let go of your guilty conscience. You know Kurapika is strong. He has endured an immeasurable amount of pain in the past. Still...just because you know he can handle it doesn't mean he deserves to feel more of it.
I'll tell him the truth...just not yet.
When the heat from the hot tub becomes too much to bear, Kurapika picks you up and throws you on the bed to your honeymoon suite. Not wasting any time drying off, he pushes himself deep inside of you. Left...left...right...right...and back to the middle. You scream his name as a current of orgasmic delight travels throughout your body over and over again.
Breathing heavily, the two of you still have your limbs intertwined with each other's when Kurapika finally speaks.
"So...how many was that?"
"At least four. I lost count," you answer.
Kurapika laughs. "That has to be some kind of record."
You run your fingers through his wet blonde hair. "Sex like that should be outlawed."
Kurapika steadies himself up with his elbows. "Good thing I'm a hunter. If they were ever to make a law against it, I'd be able to get away with it."
You place your hand on his chest. "That's right...you're my hunter."
A month later, the two of you have settled into married life. Much to your dismay, Kurapika works almost nonstop. Whenever you are about to have an argument about his work hours, he manages to get out of it with his incredible charm.
"I promise...once I have recovered all of my brethren's eyes, I'll work less," he says before walking out the door.
Once he closes the door behind him, you grab your textbooks and laptop. Having taken a break from school to focus on winning Kurapika's heart, you decide now is a great time to start college again.
Once you get settled into your seat, you hear a knock at the front door.
"C'mon...open up already!" a familiar voice shouts from the other side of the door.
You roll your eyes when you open the door. "Hello to you, too, Killua. What are you doing here?"
Killua walks past you, not making eye contact. He heads straight to the refrigerator, pulling out a can of juice. He opens it and takes a sip.
"Where's Kurapika?"
You walk closer to your husband's friend. "He just left for work. I'll tell him you stopped by."
"That's alright. I'll hang out here for a while," Killua says, leaning against the refrigerator with his feet crossed.
"Uh...I don't think Kurapika would like that."
Killua gives you a puzzled look. "Why not?"
"Because...it's inappropriate for a married woman to be alone with a man who isn't her husband."
It's Killua's turn to roll his eyes. He pushes himself off the refrigerator and walks closer to you. You feel goosebumps erupt on your skin when he stops to stand next to you.
"I have no interest in fucking you, (Y/N). I just wanna hang out at my friend's house," he says, expressionless.
You watch as he makes his way to the living room, turning on the television when he finds the remote. You let out a deep breath, remembering his past threats to you.
Realizing Killua isn't going anywhere, you decide to make the best of it. You close your laptop before taking a seat on the couch opposite of him.
"So...wanna watch a movie or something?"
Killua shrugs his shoulders. "If you can find one. Everything sounds lame." He throws you the remote.
You catch it with one hand. "What kind of movies do you like?"
"Anything with action in it." He gets comfortable on the couch, pulling his feet up and crossing his arms behind his neck.
You search for a movie until another knock on the door interrupts you.
"Hold on a sec," you say, getting up to answer the door.
You look through the peephole before opening the door.
"Who is it?" Killua shouts from the living room.
"I don't know. It's a woman."
You open the door. "We're not looking to buy anything, but thank you."
The beautiful woman dressed in a skirt suit holds her hand up. "No...no...I'm not here to sell anything. I'm looking for a hunter named Kurapika."
You furrow your brow. "How do you know Kurapika and what business do you have with him?"
She blushes. "Sorry...allow me to introduce myself. My name's Aina and I've been helping Kurapika with his mission. I found some information he might be interested in." She shows you her briefcase.
"Well, he's not here. You can leave the information with me. I'll make sure he gets it," you say.
Aina shakes her head. "I'm afraid I can't. This information is confidential."
You feel your blood boil. "I'm his wife! You can leave anything with me!"
Killua walks up to the front door when he hears you raise your voice.
"What's going on?"
You explain the situation to Killua.
"Oh. Why don't you wait for Kurapika here? We were just about to watch a movie," Killua says.
You scowl at him.
"Oh, thank you. I'd love to give him this information in person," says Aina.
The three of you walk to the living room. You notice she smells like cherry blossoms when she walks past you.
Aina bows in front of you before sitting down. "I appreciate you allowing me to wait for Kurapika in your home. You must be (Y/N). He talks about his beautiful new wife all the time."
"He does?" Your heart fills with warmth. "How do you two know each other? Are you a hunter?"
"Me? No. I met him in my cafe. He swiped his hunter's license on the computer and I noticed he was looking up information about the scarlet eyes. I didn't mean to be nosy, I just wanted to offer him my help since I know where a pair might be located."
You raise an eyebrow. "Oh, yeah? And what are you hoping for in return?"
Her eyes widen. She raises both hands out in front of her. "Nothing like that. Please...I just want to help. Your husband seems like a very nice person."
"Hmph," you say, crossing your arms.
Aina's briefcase falls off the couch, opening when it hits the floor. Aina kneels to pick up the stack of paper that has fallen out. You attempt to help her.
"I got it...thank you," she says, pushing your hand away.
You notice her hands are shaking. You glance at the paperwork and notice a police file sitting on top. Your eyes widen when you recognize the name on the file.
You lock eyes with Killua's. He also noticed the police file.
A sweat drop forms on your forehead. "Uh...what's with the police report?"
A look of sadness spreads across Aina's face. "I'm sorry. You see...my sister, Hina, was murdered three years ago and they never found her killer. Kurapika offered to help me in return for giving him intel on the scarlet eyes."
"I knew you weren't helping him for free!" you shout, pointing a finger at her.
"I'm so sorry." Aina hangs her head.
"I think you should leave now. Kurapika is a married man. He doesn't have time to solve other people's mysteries."
Aina rises to her feet. "You're right." She hands you a folder. "This is for Kurapika. Tell him everything he needs should be here."
You get up to escort her out. Once you lock the door, you hear the sound of laughter coming from the living room. You walk back to the living room to find Killua holding his abdomen with his knees against his chest. Tears form in the corners of his eyes.
You glare at him. "What the hell is so funny?"
Killua takes a few deep breaths and wipes the tears away from his eyes before replying. "That chick is Hina's sister!"
"Yeah...so?"
"She wants Kurapika to hunt you down!" Killua points at you, bursting into laughter again.
You cross your arms. "I still don't see how any of this is funny."
"You're an idiot," Killua says once his laughter subsides. "Kurapika is good at his job. He's going to find out you murdered Hina."
Realizing the seriousness of the situation, you sit down and run your fingers through your hair. "Dammit...you're right. What do you think I should do?"
Killua crinkles his forehead. "You're asking me for advice?"
You put your hands together. "Yes...please."
"You know I don't like you, right?"
"Yes. But as Kurapika's best friend, you kinda have no choice," you say with a sly smile.
Killua sighs. "Ugh...if you want my advice, I'd say your best bet would be to kill the girl. But since I'm no longer in the business of murder, I can't help you with that. For now, do your best to keep Kurapika away from this new girl. You wouldn't want her to show him a picture of Hina."
"Why not?"
Killua pulls his eyebrows close together. "You really are an idiot, aren't you? What if he regains his memory of her?"
Your eyes widen. "Do you think that's possible?"
Killua shrugs his shoulders. "Who knows? Anyway, I wouldn't chance it. Tell Kurapika you don't like him talking to this woman. He'll listen."
You hold your chin in between your thumb and index finger. "Hmm...you're right." You hop up from the couch and give Killua a big hug. "Thank you, Killua!"
He attempts to free himself from your grip. "Hey...get off of me!"
Kurapika walks into the living room. "What's going on?"
You and Killua freeze. You didn't hear Kurapika unlock the door.
You let go of Killua and he falls down on the couch, hitting his head on the arm. "Oww."
You run to Kurapika, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. "Darling! Your home! How was your day?"
Kurapika takes a seat, allowing himself to relax against the couch cushions. "Not good. Just when I think I'm close to regaining another pair of my clan's eyes, something gets it in the way." He rubs his temples. "Then...I come home to find my wife wrestling with my good friend."
You feel heat rise to your cheeks. "We were just messing around...you know we can't stand each other."
Kurapika offers you a soft smile. "I'm only teasing. It's good to see the two of you getting along. I just hope you have some of that energy left for me."
Killua shifts uncomfortably in his seat. "Uh...I'm gonna grab a snack. I'll see you guys later." He stands up to leave.
You press your lips against your husband's, pulling away after giving him a quick kiss.
Kurapika pulls you back in. "Is that all I get?"
You look away. "Kurapika? There's something I need to talk to you about."
He places his hand on your shoulder. "Oh? Have I done something to offend you?"
You shake your head. "No. Well...a little."
Kurapika furrows his brow. "I have? Please...allow me to remedy the situation. Whatever it may be."
You stand up from the couch, walking away from Kurapika.
"(Y/N)? Where are you going?"
You stop at the wall next to the mantle. You place your hands against it, underneath your wedding picture. "A woman came by today. She was looking for you."
Kurapika stands up and walks toward you. He rests his hands on your waist. "I'm so sorry, (Y/N). I meant to tell you about her, but work kept getting in the way."
"Work always gets in the way," you say while pressing your forehead against the wall. Tears well up in your eyes.
Kurapika combs your hair back with his fingers, exposing your neck. He gently kisses the delicate skin. "Words cannot express how sorry I am."
You feel his warm breath against your skin. You know exactly what he's doing.
"Kurapika, are you trying to avoid an argument?"
He moves his hands down and tugs the hem of your skirt. "No. We can argue later. I just have something I want to give you first."
Kurapika steps back. You hear him unzip his suit pants. Half a second later, your panties are on the floor. You feel yourself dripping as Kurapika holds you against the wall. He presses himself inside of you.
"Ahem...do you mind giving it to her after I leave?" Killua asks Kurapika.
You feel yourself blush. Kurapika keeps his hold on you, frozen in place.
"Uh...I thought you left to get a snack," says Kurapika.
"Yeah. In your kitchen." Killua covers his eyes as he walks to the front door. "Don't worry...I'm leaving. I gotta get the image of your ass out of my head."
Kurapika sighs as he hears the front door close. He pulls away from you, pulling up his pants. "I suppose we should get this argument out of the way."
"Uh...yeah."
"I'll meet you in our bedroom," says Kurapika, expressionless.
You watch as Kurapika walks down the hallway. You think about what Killua told you earlier.
If you want my advice, I'd say your best bet would be to kill the girl.
You walk to the bedroom. Kurapika is sitting on the edge of the bed, resting his elbows on his knees. He lifts his head to look at you as you walk into the room. You sit down next to him.
The two of you remain silent for a few minutes.
"Kurapika?" You place your hand on his.
"Yes?" He looks straight ahead, avoiding your gaze.
"I want you to stop seeing Aina."
"(Y/N)? I want you to know I'd never do anything to jeopardize our marriage. I'm in love with you and only you. Aina is simply helping me find my brethren's eyes."
"I know. It just makes me uncomfortable. Besides, you're an excellent hunter. You don't need help from anybody."
Kurapika finally makes eye contact with you. "You know that means more work for me. Which leads us to our other disagreement."
"Your work hours?"
Kurapika nods.
You kiss him on the cheek. "You go ahead and take all the time you need. Besides, I knew this was your goal from the beginning."
Kurapika's face brightens as he smiles. "I appreciate your support." He pulls you into an embrace. "Shall we continue what we started in the living room?"
"You read my mind." You pull Kurapika's tie. You fall back, pulling him on top of you. You wrap your legs around him, feeling his erection against your thigh. You giggle. "It doesn't take you long, huh?"
Kurapika's cheeks turn a bright shade of red. "Not when you're married to the most beautiful woman on the planet."
It's your turn to blush. You turn your head to the side, noticing the time on the clock. "Shoot!" You jump up, pushing Kurapika off of you.
"What's the matter, my love?"
"I forgot to take my pill. Wait here...I promise to hurry," you say, running to the bathroom.
You close the door behind you. You open the medicine cabinet and grab your birth control pills. You turn on the faucet, using the water to swallow your pill.
You look at yourself in the mirror, suppressing the guilt that is rising in your stomach. It's a skill you have become good at.
"Such a useless emotion," you say before walking out of the bathroom.
A soft smile forms on your face when you notice your Kurta curled up in bed, fast asleep. You walk to the bed and crawl up next to him.
"Kurapika?" you whisper.
He doesn't respond. His lips are slightly parted, respirations slow and even. You kiss him on the cheek.
Instead of going to sleep, you cover Kurapika up with a blanket and turn the lights off.
You sneak out of bed to walk to the kitchen. You open the folder Aina left for him. You read through the stack of paper that contains a wealth of information regarding the location of a pair of scarlet eyes.
You're about to throw it away when a mischievous grin spreads across your face.
The next morning, you pour Kurapika a cup of coffee before sitting across from him. He yawns before taking a sip.
"Guess what?" you ask the sleepy Kurta.
He gives you a questioning look. "What?"
"I stayed up all night doing research for you. I might know where a pair of scarlet eyes might be."
"Huh?"
You grab the folder Aina left and pass it to Kurapika. You claim to have done all the work yourself.
Kurapika's eyes widen as he reads through the file. "But...how? I'm a hunter and it sometimes takes me days to find this much information."
"That's how much I love you."
As if the caffeine hit Kurapika all at once, he jolts from his chair and wraps his arms around you. "Thank you, (Y/N)! This means so much to me."
You hug him back, proud of yourself for stealing Aina's work.
Kurapika releases you. "I'm going to go through this in my office to make sure I have everything I need to plan my next trip."
"You do whatever you need to do."
Later that afternoon, Kurapika walks out of his office. He finds you sitting out back on the balcony, enjoying a cup of tea.
You feel your heart flutter when you see him. "You're finally out of that office. Sit down and join me." You pat the empty chair next to you.
Kurapika shakes his head. "As delightful as that sounds, I'm afraid I must tie up some loose ends before this trip."
You tilt your head to the side. "I thought you had everything you needed."
"Most of it. However, I need to run down to use a public computer. Not to worry you, but the area where the eyes are located isn't exactly the safest. I don't want to use my personal computer in case they have the ability to track it."
You nod. "Understandable. Will you be home in time for dinner?"
"I should be. I'll send you a text message," says Kurapika. He gives you a kiss on your head. "I love you."
"Love you, too."
That evening, you check your phone for the fiftieth time. Kurapika hasn't texted you and it's well past dinnertime. You're about to call him when you hear the front door open. You run to greet your husband.
"Kurapika! I was beginning to worry about you. Have you eaten?"
Kurapika takes his jacket and shoes off before pulling you in for a kiss. "I apologize for not texting you. I lost track of time. And I'm not hungry. Thank you."
You kiss him back. The scent of cherry blossom perfume fills your nose. You pull away, inspecting him. You notice the collar to his white button down shirt is stained with red lipstick. You feel your heart rate increase.
"Kurapika? What the hell is this?" you ask, pulling at his collar.
"(Y/N), please. Not now." He presses the palm of his hand against his forehead. "I have a migraine."
Kurapika gently pushes your arm away and walks to the bathroom. You follow closely behind him.
"Uh...I was planning on taking a shower and going straight to bed. I have a big trip tomorrow," Kurapika says when he notices you following him.
"Big trip, huh? When were you planning on telling me?" you ask him while leaning against the doorframe.
"(Y/N), please. I told you...I have a migraine. Can we talk about this later?"
You take a deep breath, trying your best to be a good wife. "Okay. How can I help you?"
"Grab my bottle of migraine pills and a glass of water," he says, kneeling in front of the toilet. "Close the door. I'm about to be sick...you don't need to see me like this."
"In sickness and in health, darling," you remind him before walking out.
You close the door behind you, leaning against the door. All kinds of questions run through your mind.
Did he cheat on me?
Why does he have a migraine?
Why is he still planning on leaving tomorrow if he's so sick?
Why does he refuse to answer any of my questions?
Your thoughts are interrupted by the sound of Kurapika emptying the contents of his stomach into the toilet. As angry as you feel, he's still your husband and you hate when he feels sick.
You scramble to find his medicine and water. You slowly open the door to the bathroom to check on him. Your heart sinks to your stomach when you see him lying on the cold tile floor.
You fill up the bathtub before helping him undress.
"(Y/N)...don't worry about me...I'll manage...somehow."
"Don't be ridiculous." You unbutton his shirt and pull it off his beautifully sculpted chest.
He steps into the hot bath once you pull down his pants and underwear.
"Ahh...this feels so good."
You grab the pile of clothes from the floor. "I'll be right back. I'm just going to put these in the laundry."
Kurapika doesn't reply as he sinks deeper into the tub. You run to the washing machine, inspecting every piece of clothing before putting them in the wash. You can only smell the scent of perfume on the collar of his shirt. Your fury springs back to life when you see the lipstick stain again. You bunch up the shirt in your hands, clenching your jaw.
"I'll kill the bitch!"
Kurapika calls you from the bathroom. Snapping back to reality, you get up to check on him.
"What took you so long?" he asks, sounding like a helpless child.
You grab a bottle of shampoo and squirt some in your hand. You lather Kurapika's hair, massaging his scalp as you wash it.
"That feels amazing," he says.
When you're finished with his hair, you squirt body wash on a sponge. You scrub his neck with intensity, wanting to get rid of the smell of Aina's nauseating perfume.
Kurapika winces. "(Y/N), that hurts."
"I'm sorry, baby." You kiss him on his wet cheek.
You give Kurapika a towel when he gets out of the tub. He brushes his teeth while you grab his pajamas.
"What would I do without you? You take such good care of me." A grateful smile spreads across his face as he pulls on his pajama pants.
"I'll get the bed ready," you say.
You grab Kurapika's migraine medication and administer it to him once he sits on the bed.
You cheating bastard, you're lucky that's not poison.
He swallows the pill with a glass of water. "I hope this works. I plan on leaving early tomorrow."
Knowing how stubborn your husband is, you don't try to convince him to wait until he feels better before starting his next mission.
Kurapika gets under the sheet and comforter. You pull them over his shoulder, making sure he is warm.
He closes his eyes. "(Y/N)?"
You crawl on the bed and take your place next to Kurapika. "Yes?"
"Nothing happened. I stopped her."
"Wait...what?" Your respirations increase. "Who did you stop from doing what?"
"Aina. I stopped her from kissing me."
Feeling the effects of the codeine from his medication, Kurapika drifts off to sleep.
"Kurapika?"
You attempt to wake him up, but he's already fast asleep.
You punch the mattress. "Dammit!"
You jump out of bed and pace the apartment. You grab your phone, scrolling through your contacts before making a call.
"Killua? I need your help."
The next morning, you wake up to find Kurapika packing his suitcase.
You yawn. "Feeling better?"
Kurapika gives you a kiss. "Yes, thanks to you. Did you sleep well?"
You kick the covers off. "No. I tossed and turned all freakin' night."
Kurapika hangs his head. "That's my fault. I fell asleep before I had the chance to finish explaining myself."
You sit up in bed, combing your fingers through your hair. "Give me one second." You jump off the bed and run to the bathroom. After emptying your bladder and brushing your teeth, you sit back down in bed.
"You can finish now."
Kurapika checks the time. "I'm afraid I'm already running late." He stares at you with his enchanting eyes. "But...I don't want you to worry about anything. Please. I'm not an unfaithful person." He takes your hands into his. "Do you trust me?"
"Of course I trust you, Kurapika. But...I need to know what happened. Please. It's going to drive me insane."
He checks the time again. "You're right...what's a few more minutes?"
Kurapika gets comfortable next to you. You gaze at him intently.
"I walked into the Matcha Matchy Cafe, you know, the one I usually visit to do hunter research. Aina happens to be the owner. Having said that, she approached me with my favorite coffee in her hand. I kindly refused. She left, allowing me to conduct my research. A few hours later, she came back to inform me that she was closing the cafe for the night. She told me to take my time and not to worry because she had cleaning up to do in the back. At that point, I started to get a mild headache. It was most likely due to the fact that I skipped lunch to focus on my research."
"I pushed my chair back, not realizing Aina was standing behind me. I felt terrible for almost knocking her to the floor. Luckily, I caught her in time. I thought I did what any man would do, but apparently, she thought my kindness meant something more."
You hear the sound of your own heartbeat in your ears. "What do you mean, something more?"
Kurapika shifts his weight on the bed. "(Y/N), I didn't mean to give Aina the wrong impression."
"What did she do, Kurapika?" you shout.
Kurapika takes a deep breath. "Once I placed her back down on her feet, she wrapped her arms around me. I thought she just wanted a hug, but my assumption was wrong. Before I had the time to process everything, her lips were already on mine."
You stand up, looking away from Kurapika. "How could you allow this to happen? You told me you weren't going to see her anymore. We've been married for only one month and you're already having other women kiss you!"
Kurapika stands up, grabbing your waist. He turns you around to face him. "(Y/N), I stopped her. Nothing happened. No vows were broken."
Your body starts to shake. You stare at your loving husband with tear-filled eyes. Your heart aches; however, you know Kurapika isn't the type of person who would purposely break it.
"Ku...Kurapika? Promise me you'll never walk into that cafe again."
Kurapika lifts his right hand. "You have my word."
Feeling relieved, you fall into his chest. He catches you, resting a hand on the small of your back while stroking your head with his other hand.
The two of you remain silent for a few seconds before you look up at him.
"I don't deserve you," you say.
"What are you talking about? You're the most pure hearted person I've ever met. If anything, I'm the one who doesn't deserve you."
If you only knew.
Guilt starts to creep through your soul as Kurapika plants kisses on your neck.
"Kurapika? Did Aina ask you to do her a favor in exchange for intel?"
His lips move to the other side of your neck. "Yes. Did she mention that to you?"
You let out a moan as Kurapika finds your sweet spot. "Y...yeah. What exactly did she want from you?"
He pulls down one of your straps, kissing your shoulder. "To help her solve the mystery of her sister's murder."
"How awful." You take Kurapika's hand and kiss his fingers. "Do you think you can solve mysteries like that?"
He pulls down your other strap with his free hand. "Of course." He runs his thumb across your lips.
You savor the taste of his skin. "That's so...hot."
He presses his lips against your ear. "I can find out who did it and apprehend them with one arm chained behind my back."
Your knees shake. "I didn't know being married to a hunter would have my blood sizzling with lust all the time."
Kurapika lets out a soft laugh. "Sounds like you actually want me to help Aina avenge the murder of her sister."
Hearing that name come from Kurapika's mouth sets you on fire. You scowl at Kurapika.
He mimics your reaction. "(Y/N), you're so adorable when you get mad."
"Are you mocking me?" You rest your hand on your hip.
"That all depends on how much trouble I'd be in." A mischievous grin spreads across his face.
"A lot of trouble!"
"In that case, yes. I'm mocking you."
You push Kurapika on the bed. "I thought you had a flight to catch."
"I do. But I need to accept my punishment like a man." He offers you a sly smile.
You bite your lip, thinking of ways to punish your hunter.
"Okay." You look around the room for something to blindfold Kurapika with. You find a scarf and wrap it around his eyes. "Can you see anything?"
"Nope. What are you planning to do next?"
"That's part of the punishment. I'm not going to tell you anything." You start to undress Kurapika. You plan on having fun with him. "Conjure your chains."
Kurapika's aura surrounds him as his chains appear on his right hand.
"Good job. Now I want you to wrap yourself in them," you say.
A small metal ball floats in the air for a few seconds before wrapping itself around Kurapika.
"Tighter!" you demand.
Kurapika does as he's told. You check the tightness of the chains before proceeding with your plan.
You kiss him on the lips, pulling away before he has the chance to kiss you back. You run your fingers down his chest, stopping at his abdomen. Sweat drops form on his forehead as he anticipates your next move.
You stare at his erection, noticing the clear fluid seeping out. You get on your knees, resting your hands on his thighs. You take the head of his penis into your mouth, tasting him. You slowly move down his shaft.
Kurapika lets out a moan. "(Y/N)...that feels...so good."
You pull him out of your mouth. "I don't remember giving you permission to speak."
He remains quiet as you continue pleasuring him with your mouth. You bob your head up and down his length, pausing every few seconds.
You take him down your throat. He moans, trying his best not to speak. The corners of your lips curve upward around his penis.
His legs start to shake, letting you know he's close. You move up and down, using your tongue to add pleasure to his sensitive areas.
"(Y/N)...I...uh...I'm about to..."
Before he finishes his sentence, you take him out of your mouth.
He gasps. "(Y/N)...what's going on? I'm not finished yet."
"Exactly. That's your punishment."
"Wait...what? This is not a punishment. It's torture. Please...I promise...you can have whatever you want from me...just please."
You watch as Kurapika squirms against his own chains. His forehead is covered in sweat. You are loving this power you have over him.
After torturing him for a few more seconds, you take your position back in front of him. You take him back into your mouth, bobbing your head up and down until you feel a gush of warm liquid travel down your throat.
Incomprehensible words leave Kurapika's mouth as he experiences his moment of euphoria. He falls back on the mattress, breathing heavily. His chains disappear as his Nen fades. You wipe your mouth with the back of your hand before removing his blindfold. He stares at you with a satisfied grin on his face.
He reaches up and touches your cheek. "Thank you. That was literally mind-blowing."
You give him a proud smile. "Sorry I had to torture you a bit."
"I deserved it. Anyway, I can't leave without giving you something in return." He lays you down, removing your panties. He stares into your eyes while spreading your legs apart. You feel his fingers spread your labia. You gasp when he rests his thumb on your clit, gently massaging it.
Warm liquid trickles out of your entrance as he inserts his index finger inside of you. You rock your hips, matching his movements. He inserts his middle finger, pressing deeper into you. He circles your clit with his thumb while he continues to press inside of you. You throw your head back, gripping the sheets.
Your walls tighten around his fingers. "Go ahead..e for me," he whispers.
You scream his name as your body shakes with pleasure. You're left breathless as he pulls his fingers out of you, licking them.
You pant as you stare at him. Tears fall down your cheeks when you realize he's about to leave you again.
"I don't want you to go. Can't we just stay in this room forever and forget about the rest of the world?"
Kurapika kisses you. "My love, that sounds like Heaven to me. That's exactly what we'll do when I return."
"I love you. So damn much," you say.
"And I love you. Thank you for being patient with me." Kurapika presses his forehead against yours. "As much as it saddens me, I must leave now. Thank you. Without your hard work, I wouldn't be this close to retrieving another pair of my brethren's eyes."
As soon as Kurapika leaves, you get ready for the day. You find your phone. You search for the Matcha Matchy Cafe. You call, recognizing Aina's voice immediately.
"Hello, Aina. It's (Y/N) Kurta. Do you have a moment? Kurapika said he is still willing to help you find your sister's murderer."
"Really? You don't know how much that means to me."
"Yes. When can you come up to our apartment?"
"I'm on my way right now!" Aina says before ending the call. You notice the excitement in her voice.
You call Killua immediately.
"Come over...now. Don't waste any time," you say.
"Whatever," Killua says.
Your hands shake as you wait for Aina. You know the cafe isn't very far so it shouldn't take more than ten minutes for her to arrive.
You wait by the front door, pressing your ear against it. You hear footsteps rapidly approaching. You look through the peephole before Aina has the chance to knock.
You open the door, inviting her in. She takes her shoes off.
"Thank you so much. I'm sure Kurapika told you about last night, and I want you to know how sorry I am," Aina says.
You breathe in her cherry blossom perfume. It overwhelms you with anger. You had a well-thought-out plan for how you were going to take care of her, but you allow your rage to take over.
Grabbing her by the arm, you force her into the kitchen. "Come with me."
Aina furrows her brow. "Is everything okay?"
You see Kurapika's bokken from the corner of your eye. They are resting against the wall. You reach over and grab them.
Aina steps back, raising her hands in the air. "Look...I told you I was sorry. It will never happen again."
"Damn right it won't," you say, holding a wooden sword in each hand. "Tell me what it was like to put your filthy lips on a married man."
Aina stares at you with guilty eyes. "It felt...horrible. Kurapika is a good man. I shouldn't have crossed the line."
You walk closer to her. She falls to her knees, begging you for forgiveness. For a split second, you feel sorry for her. That feeling quickly changes back to rage when you imagine her lips on Kurapika's. You raise the bokken you're holding with your right hand and bring it down with force, striking Aina's left shoulder. You hear the cracking sound of bones breaking. Aina grabs her shoulder with her right hand, screaming in agony.
She looks at you with tear-filled eyes. "Please...I'll move out of town...whatever you want...just please...no more."
"That sounds like a good idea. How about I leave you with a parting gift?" You kneel to her level. "I know who killed you sister."
"You do?" Hope fills her eyes as she looks at you. "Did Kurapika find out?"
You see red as soon as you hear your husband's name escape her lips. You stand up and point a finger at her. "Stop saying his name, you disgusting whore!" You open the silverware drawer with force and pull out the first knife you see. You rest it against her throat.
Aina pants, trembling in fear.
"Did you know your sister had a thing for my husband as well?"
"She did?" Aina asks you, almost a whisper.
"Yes. That's why I had to kill her." You answer with a smile.
"You...you killed Hina?" Aina remains frozen in place.
"I did. That's how much I love Kurapika." You add pressure to her throat.
With the help of adrenaline, Aina grabs your arm with her good hand, making you release the knife.
"So Kurapika was the blonde Hina talked about all the time? She was in love with him, and from what she told me, he loved her back. Sounds to me like you're the one who stole him from her."
You slap Aina across the face. "He didn't love her!"
You push Aina on her back, grabbing the knife. She fights to free herself, but you pierce through the skin of her abdomen with the knife.
"He didn't love her!" you scream as you repeatedly stab Aina.
The front door opens. You don't notice until you feel Killua pull you away from Aina.
"What the hell, (Y/N)?"
You turn to face Killua, your face covered in Aina's blood.
"Let me go!" you scream, flailing the knife in the air.
"Get a hold of yourself!" Killua takes the knife away from you. "We had a plan! You know...one that didn't involve murder!"
You slowly come back to your senses as Killua yells at you.
"What took you so long?" you finally ask him.
He wipes whipped cream from his lips. You notice the chocolate milkshake sitting on the counter.
"You stopped for a milkshake?" you ask, raising your voice.
"Hey, sorry I didn't get you one. I didn't know which flavor to get you." He grabs the milkshake and takes a sip.
"I don't care about a fuckin' milkshake! I'm dealing with something a little more important here!" You point to Aina. She's squirming on the floor, barely alive.
Killua walks over to Aina. He stands over her body. "Damn, (Y/N). You really don't know what you're doing, huh? This poor girl is still alive...suffering." He shakes his head. "I'm gonna put her out of her misery."
Killua looks into Aina's pleading eyes. She mouths the words, "Help me."
"I'm gonna help you," Killua says to Aina.
Killua covers her eyes with his left hand while manipulating the anatomy of his right hand. "I promise...you won't feel a thing."
Killua inserts his hand into Aina's chest, pulling out her heart. She dies in a matter of seconds.
He washes his hands before returning to his milkshake. He glances at you while taking a sip. "You're a bitch. That girl suffered. A lot."
You shrug your shoulders. "She deserved it."
"All because she wanted to exchange information with Kurapika?"
"No. She tried to fuck him, Killua. That's why."
Killua shakes his head. "So? It's not like Kurapika would've let her. You have some major trust issues."
You look down at the huge mess in your kitchen. Blood is splattered on the walls. You rest your head on the counter. Tears well up in your eyes. You start to sob as the adrenaline leaves your veins. Killua rolls his eyes, moving closer to you.
"Hey...I'm gonna help you. Don't feel like you're alone in this."
You turn your head to face Killua. You look at him through misty eyes. "Thank you. I don't deserve you. Or Kurapika for that matter."
"I never said you did." He motions towards Aina's body. "Are you done feeling sorry for yourself? We have a big mess to clean up."
You take a deep breath. Just when you're about to push yourself off the kitchen counter, the front door swings open. Your eyes widen when you notice it's Kurapika.
You immediately run toward him. "Kurapika! I thought you'd be on an airship right now."
"Uh...yeah." He looks you up and down. "I couldn't get another flight for today." A look of worry crosses his face. "Why are you covered in blood, (Y/N)? Are you hurt?"
You look down at your blood-stained clothes. "Umm..."
Killua walks over to greet his friend. "(Y/N) is fine. Someone just tried to attack her. Luckily, I was here to help."
Kurapika's eyes widens as he looks back at you. "Wait...someone tried attacking you? Who? Where? When?"
You look at Killua for answers. He nods in your direction.
"That chick from the cafe," says Killua. "Turns out she was a psychopath. She came up here and tried to stab (Y/N). Luckily, your wife knows a few principles of Nen. She was able to defend herself until I got here."
Kurapika furrows his brow as he turns his attention back to Killua. "Are you talking about Aina? That woman wouldn't hurt a fly."
Killua shrugs his shoulders. "You never know what's going on in the minds of others, huh?"
"No, you don't." Kurapika glares into your eyes as if he's searching for the truth.
"Well, good thing you're here. You can help (Y/N) get changed while I clean up the mess in the kitchen," says Killua, pointing in the direction of the kitchen with his thumb.
"Thank you for defending (Y/N). We're both lucky you were here." Kurapika bows in front of Killua before wrapping his arm around your neck.
Kurapika walks you to the bathroom. He turns on the shower before helping you out of your clothes.
He sits on the toilet while he waits for you. He thinks about his younger friend and his behavior. Knowing Killua's past, it's not unusual for him to act casually after a traumatic event. Killua is also a transmuter, which means he has the tendency to bend the truth.
Kurapika thinks about what Killua said earlier.
"You never know what's going on in the minds of others," he whispers to himself.
"Did you say something, darling?" you ask Kurapika while turning off the shower.
"No." Kurapika gets up and waits for you with a towel in his hand.
He wraps the towel around you. "I'll grab you some clothes." He kisses you on the cheek before leaving the bathroom.
Once you're dry, you comb your hair. Kurapika returns with some clothes and you get dressed.
"I can only imagine what you're going through right now," says Kurapika, voice monotone.
"I'm better now that you're here." You wrap your arms around him.
Kurapika walks you back to the living room. You take a seat on the couch as Killua approaches the two of you.
"I'm finished here. I'm gonna head out now, unless you need anything," says Killua.
You're amazed by how fast Killua got everything cleaned up.
Kurapika wraps a throw blanket around your shoulders. "Actually, I have a question for you. What happened to Aina? Did the police arrest her?"
"Oh...I thought it was obvious. I had to kill her," Killua answers nonchalantly.
Kurapika glances at you. "I see." He walks Killua to the front door. He looks up at Killua, who now stands taller than him. "Did you file a police report?"
"Of course. It's all taken care of."
Kurapika places his hand on his friend's shoulder. "Again...thank you."
"Any time," says Killua as he leaves.
Kurapika locks the door and walks back to you. "Are you sure you don't need me to drive you to the hospital?"
"I'm unharmed."
Kurapika sits down next to you. "If you don't mind, I'd like to hear your version of the story." He stares at nothing.
You try your best to read him. "Uh...well...it's just like Killua said. She attacked me."
"Yeah, but what happened prior to Killua's arrival?"
"I was in the kitchen when I heard banging on the front door. I kindly opened the door and she immediately pushed me. My head hit the wall before I fell to the floor. That's when she pulled out a knife. She threatened to slice my throat if I didn't leave you."
Kurapika reaches over and feels the back of your head. "No bump?"
"I didn't hit the wall too hard."
"I see. How did Aina know I wasn't home?"
"Who knows? Like Killua said, she was a psychopath. She probably didn't care if you were home."
"A psychopath, huh? She had me fooled."
Later that night, Kurapika tucks you into bed. "Are you sure you're feeling alright? You experienced a traumatic event today."
"I'm fine as long as you're close by," you answer, reaching out for Kurapika.
"Well...I'll be in my office if you need anything." He kisses you on the cheek.
"You're not coming to bed?"
"Not yet. I'm still processing everything that happened today."
"Well...don't blame yourself for anything."
"(Y/N)? Before I left the cafe last night, Aina mentioned something to me about dropping off some papers. Do you know what she was talking about?"
"I have no idea. That girl was crazy." You roll over in bed, finding a comfortable position.
"Right," says Kurapika before walking to his office.
Kurapika settles into his desk chair. He finds the papers you gave him and carefully reads through each line.
"It's impossible to find this much information in one night," he says to himself.
His eyes widen when he reads the last sentence. Written by hand, the sentence reads:
Hope this helps! It took weeks to find everything.
With love, Aina
Kurapika makes a fist and slams it against his desk. "Dammit! I wanted to believe (Y/N)."
He opens his laptop and searches for Hina's police report. He stares at her picture.
"Where do I know her from?" He reads through the article. "Hmm...she was a nurse at Leorio's hospital."
Kurapika grabs his phone to call his best friend.
"Hey, Kurapika! How are you?" Leorio answers.
"I've had better days. Anyway, I have a question for you. Do you remember working with a nurse named Hina three years ago?"
Kurapika hears Leorio sigh. "You know...nurses come and go. I don't remember them all."
"Right. Thank you anyway. Sorry for interrupting your night."
"A call from you is always welcome. Do it more often," Leorio says before Kurapika ends the call.
For the next few weeks, you notice Kurapika is behaving differently. He stays up late doing research and only talks to you when you're the first to start a conversation.
His kisses lack passion. When he makes love to you, he only goes through the motions, rolling off when you finish.
You look out at the night sky through your bedroom window. A shooting star passes by, prompting you to make a wish.
"I wish Kurapika would tell me what's going on," you say.
Later that night, you feel Kurapika crawl into bed. Still awake, you turn over to face him. The light from the bedside lamp illuminates his face. He smiles at you for the first time in weeks. You smile back, reaching up to touch his face.
"Hey, darling," you say.
Kurapika takes your hand in his. "Having trouble sleeping?"
"Yes. What's on your mind?"
"(Y/N), I want a divorce."
