Kurapika x Reader One-Shot Collection - Chapter 3: Chapter 3

You are sitting on the couch in your apartment reading a text message from Kurapika. He has completed a special mission and wants to take you out to dinner. You are interrupted by a soft knock on the door.
You smile as you answer the door.
"Melody!" you exclaim as you hug your friend.
"Hello, (Y/N). How are you?" asks Melody.
"Great! I'm just waiting for Kurapika. He should be here any minute." you answer.
"I can't wait to see him. How has he been?" asks Melody.
"He's good. He works a lot." you answer.
Melody looks at you with a worried expression on her face.
"Why are you sad?" she asks.
"I'm not sad." you answer.
"You know you can't lie to me," says Melody.
You shrug your shoulders.
"You're right. I just wish Kurapika would spend more time at home. He jumps from one mission to the next without resting in between. I worry about him." you answer.
The two of you sit on the couch. Melody places her hand on your shoulder.
"You know Kurapika. He is not one to rest." says Melody.
"I know. I just love him so much." you say with a smile.
Melody smiles back at you. It is silent for the next few seconds. Melody's expression changes to one of concern.
"(Y/N)? Have you been feeling well?" she asks.
"Yes. Why?" you answer, confused.
"Shhh...I hear another heartbeat." she answers.
"Oh...that must be Kurapika. He's finally home!" you say.
"No...it's not Kurapika. It's coming from you." says Melody.
"From me?" you ask, confused.
Melody places her hand on your stomach. She smiles at you.
"A baby." answers Melody.
Your eyes widen as you look down at your stomach.
"Are you telling me I'm pregnant?" you ask, shocked.
"Yes. Congratulations." Melody answers.
You stand up and hold your abdomen with both hands.
"A baby? Are you sure?" you ask, in disbelief.
"Yes. One hundred percent sure." answers Melody with a smile.
You pace the apartment. You are excited, however, you wonder how Kurapika is going to react.
Will Kurapika be happy? Or will he be upset? He doesn't have time for a baby right now.
Melody interrupts your thoughts as if she is reading your mind.
"Kurapika will be overfilled with joy." she says to you.
You smile as you imagine Kurapika holding his baby.
Kurapika arrives minutes later. You run up to him and wrap your arms around his shoulders.
"Kurapika! I missed you!" you exclaim. You place your head on his chest and smell his suit. You missed Kurapika's scent.
"And I missed you as well. This is my favorite part of completing a mission..ing home to your beautiful smile." says Kurapika while running his fingers through your hair. He smiles.
You hold Kurapika for a few seconds longer before pulling away.
"Look who came to visit!" you exclaim as Melody walks up to greet Kurapika.
"Melody! It's been a long time...how have you been?" Kurapika asks Melody.
"I have been well." answers Melody with a smile.
"(Y/N) and I are going out to dinner. Would you like to join us?" Kurapika asks Melody.
"No, thank you. I believe you two have a lot to talk about." answers Melody while smiling at you.
You spend the rest of the evening with Kurapika. He takes you for a walk in the city after dinner. He looks very happy to be home after being gone for almost two months. You are happy Kurapika is home, however, all you can think about is how you are going to tell him about the baby.
The next morning, Kurapika makes you breakfast. You grab your chopsticks and excitedly take a bite of eggs. Kurapika makes the best breakfast. As soon as you start to chew, you feel a wave of nausea. You get up quickly to run to the bathroom.
Kurapika follows you. He starts to panic when he sees you throw up.
"(Y/N)? Did I not cook the eggs properly?" Kurapika asks you.
You wipe your mouth.
"Please...Kurapika...go away. I don't want you to see me like this." you say to Kurapika.
Kurapika ignores you and grabs a towel. He helps you clean up.
"You're so good to me." you say to Kurapika with a smile.
"Are you feeling better?" Kurapika asks.
"Yes, much better. Thank you." you answer.
Kurapika picks you up. He lays you down on the bed and covers you. He kisses your forehead and you fall asleep.
You dream about telling Kurapika the news about the baby. In your dream, Kurapika is upset. You awaken from your dream and jolt up in bed, breathing heavily. Kurapika is next to you, reading.
"Did you have a bad dream, My Heaven?" asks Kurapika, concerned.
"Yes." you answer.
Kurapika puts his book down and holds you.
"I'm here, my love. You don't need to be afraid of anything." says Kurapika.
You place your head on Kurapika's chest and close your eyes.
Just tell him.
"Kurapika?" you ask.
"Yes?" asks Kurapika.
"I...ummm...I..." you start to answer.
"What is it, My Heaven?" Kurapika asks.
"I...I need some fresh air. I think I'm going to go for a walk." you answer.
"I'll accompany you." says Kurapika. "Let's go visit the fountain on the square."
"Uh...sure." you say.
Kurapika holds your hand while you both walk around the square. It is a warm sunny day. You both stop when you reach the big fountain. Kurapika hands you a coin to make a wish.
I wish to be with Kurapika forever.
You kiss the coin before tossing it into the fountain. You turn around to face Kurapika. He is kneeling down on one knee holding a ring. You gasp.
"(Y/N), this past year has brought me nothing but happiness. The reason is because you came into my life. Thank you for standing by me. I know I am not perfect. Trust me...I am trying to be a better man. Allow me the opportunity to show you." says Kurapika.
He is silent for a few seconds as he looks up at you with a smile on his face.
"(Y/N), will you marry me?" asks Kurapika.
"Yes!" you immediately answer.
Kurapika takes your hand and slides his beautiful ruby engagement ring on your finger. He stands up and kisses you. Strangers who just witnessed Kurapika's proposal start to clap.
You break the kiss to face Kurapika.
"I love you." you say to Kurapika.
"And I love you." says Kurapika.
You stare into Kurapika's entrancing eyes.
"Kurapika?" you ask.
"Yes?" he asks.
You take Kurapika's hand and place it on your abdomen.
"We're going to have a baby. I'm pregnant." you say to Kurapika.
Kurapika doesn't respond. His eyes turn scarlet. You're confused.
"Kurapika?" you ask.
"(Y/N), are you certain?" Kurapika asks.
"Yes. Are you upset?" you ask, nervously.
"Of course not! I am delighted!" exclaims Kurapika.
"Your eyes are scarlet." you say.
"Yes...it is because I am excited!"
"Thank goodness. I was afraid you'd be mad at me." you say.
"Why would I be mad at you?" Kurapika asks.
"I don't know." you answer.
"(Y/N), I could never be mad at you." says Kurapika as he holds you close.
Kurapika decided to take some time away from hunting to take care of you. You have never seen him so happy. He is spoiling you and you are enjoying every moment of it.
"I made you some ginger tea. It should help with your nausea." says Kurapika as he hands you a steaming cup of delicious ginger tea.
"Thank you, my sweet Kurapika." you say.
You drink your tea and get up from the couch.
"Where are you going?" asks Kurapika in a panic. "I can bring you whatever you need."
"Kurapika, I am not ill. I am capable of getting things myself." you say with a smile.
Your first obstetrician appointment goes well. Kurapika takes you to your favorite cafe after the appointment. You both talk about your wedding.
"I hope I won't be showing too much in my dress." you say with a laugh.
"You are going to look gorgeous. I can't wait until you start showing." says Kurapika.
One week passes by. You are in bed talking to Kurapika. It is early in the morning.
"I would love to take you to look at houses today. We don't have any room for Baby Kurta in this apartment." says Kurapika.
"Kurapika! I would love that!" you exclaim. "I'll be right back."
You get up from the bed to use the restroom. Kurapika stops you.
"Not without a kiss," says Kurapika.
You smile at Kurapika. You lean in to give him a kiss.
"Give me one second." you say as you walk to the bathroom.
A few minutes later, you scream loudly to Kurapika.
"Kurapika! Help!" you shout as you start to panic.
Kurapika rushes into the bathroom to check on you. His eyes widened as soon as he saw the blood in the toilet.
"(Y/N)? What is going on?" he asks, panicking.
"I don't know!" you answer. Tears are streaming down your cheeks.
You stand up and pass out into Kurapika's arms.
When you open your eyes, you notice you are in a hospital room. Kurapika is holding your hand. You turn to look at him.
"Kurapika? What happened?" you ask.
"(Y/N)! Thank goodness!" Kurapika exclaims.
"What is going on? How is the baby?" you ask.
Seconds later, the doctor walks into the room. He has a sad expression on his face. Your heart rate increases and you squeeze Kurapika's hand.
"(Y/N), you lost some blood, but fortunately your blood count is still stable." the doctor starts to explain.
"How's the baby?" you ask.
The doctor takes a deep breath before answering you.
"There is no longer a heartbeat. I'm so sorry, but you had a miscarriage." he answers.
Your lips tremble as you attempt to hold in your cry. You can feel your heart breaking into a million pieces. You slowly turn your head to look at Kurapika. Tears are falling down his cheeks. You have never seen him cry before.
"I'll give you two some time." says the doctor as he leaves the room.
Kurapika stares at nothing. Seconds later, he turns to face you. He takes a deep breath before wrapping his arms around you. He holds in his cry in order to stay strong for you.
You immediately burst into tears. Kurapika tightens his grip on you.
"My Heaven...I am so sorry." Kurapika says to you.
"Kurapika! This can't be happening! Please tell me this is just a bad dream!" you scream into Kurapika's chest.
One month passes by and you have fallen into a state of depression. You hardly ever leave your bedroom and you spend your days crying. Kurapika is very worried about you.
Kurapika has made you your favorite dinner. He walks into the bedroom.
"(Y/N)? I made your favorite meal. I would love it if you got up and joined me." says Kurapika.
"I'm not hungry." you answer.
Kurapika walks closer to you.
"You have not eaten in days. Your behavior is not normal and I am worried about you." says Kurapika.
You remain silent.
"(Y/N)! Are you even listening to me?" shouts Kurapika.
"What do you want from me, Kurapika?" you ask.
"I want you to get out of bed and eat dinner with me!" answers Kurapika.
"I can't do that." you say.
"And why not?" asks Kurapika, frustrated.
"I just can't! Leave me alone!" you shout.
Kurapika grabs your shoulders.
"I will not leave you alone! I want to help, however, you are making it difficult." Kurapika explains.
"Kurapika...I just lost a baby. Do you really expect me to go about my life like nothing happened?" you ask.
"Correction...we just lost a baby. And of course I expect you to grieve. Just please...allow me to stay by your side." says Kurapika.
"I just need to be alone." you say.
Kurapika releases the grip on your shoulders. He looks down.
"(Y/N)? The doctor stated we could start trying again in as little as three months. I promise we will. Just please...let us take this time to prepare. I want us to get married." Kurapika says to you.
You don't respond to Kurapika so he gets up.
"I'm here for you. Don't forget that." Kurapika says as he walks out of the bedroom.
Kurapika shuts the door behind him. You hear a loud thud. You slowly get out of bed and place your ear against the door. You can hear Kurapika. He is sitting against the bedroom door. Your heart breaks as you listen to him cry. Tears fill your eyes and you slowly open the door. He quickly stands up and wipes the tears from his eyes.
"(Y/N)?" asks Kurapika in surprise.
"It's okay to cry, Kurapika." you say to him as you reach out to hug him.
Kurapika squeezes you. He places your head on his chest and continues to cry. Tears are now streaming down your cheeks. You grip his dress shirt.
"I love you so much, Kurapika! I'm so sorry. I have been behaving so selfishly. I was too wrapped up in my own feelings to even consider yours. Please...forgive me." you say to Kurapika.
Kurapika runs his fingers through your hair.
"Of course I forgive you. It just pains me to see you like this. Especially when there is nothing I can do to help. I love you so damn much, (Y/N). I want to make your dreams come true. I promise...we will have a family." says Kurapika.
You look up at Kurapika. His eyes are wet. You place your hand on his cheek. He smiles at you.
"Thank you." you say to him.
The next two months go by and you are now Kurapika's wife. You are both on your honeymoon. Kurapika is twirling you around your beautiful hotel room. A nice breeze is blowing in through the open window. He sits you on top of the bed. There is a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower from where you sit. The moon is shining brightly in the night sky.
"Mrs. (Y/N) Kurta...I love you so much." says Kurapika as he runs his fingers up and down your arm.
"How much do you love me, Mr. Kurta?" you ask.
Kurapika smiles at you.
"Allow me to show you." answers Kurapika as he unzips your wedding dress.
Your heart rate increases as you feel Kurapika's strong hands on your skin. He takes his time as he pulls down the straps to your dress. He stares at your white-laced bra while gently gripping your neck. He gets closer to you and starts to kiss the skin under your earlobe. You close your eyes and tilt your head to the side to allow Kurapika better access. You can feel him breathing against your delicate skin.
"Ahhh...that feels good." you say to Kurapika.
Kurapika smiles as he reaches behind you to unbuckle your bra. He tosses it to the floor and lays you down in the bed. He pulls down the rest of your wedding dress along with your panties. He stares at your body for a few seconds.
"Perfection." he says.
You keep your eyes closed and allow Kurapika to take control. Suddenly, you feel the warmth of his breath against your lips. His buttery soft lips brush up against yours as he gently parts your lips with his tongue. You gladly accept. Kurapika's tongue feels smooth against yours and you can taste the cinnamon from the liqueur he was drinking at dinner.
"Mmmm..." you moan as you kiss your new husband.
You reach up to pull Kurapika's suit jacket off. He takes his hand to grip both of your wrists together. He places them above your head.
"I'll undress when I am ready." he says to you.
You give Kurapika a disappointed look. He spreads your legs and positions himself in between them. You stare at him as he begins to kiss the inside of one of your thighs. You close your eyes again in order to intensify your sense of touch. Kurapika kisses your other thigh. Your skin tingles as he moves his hands up and down your body.
A minute later, you notice Kurapika has stopped. All of a sudden, you feel Kurapika's fingers slide inside of you. You moan in pleasure as you rock your hips to match his movements. You open your eyes halfway to look at Kurapika. He is smiling as he watches you writhe in pleasure. He continues to slide his fingers in and out of you while using his thumb to massage your clit. Kurapika begins to thrust in and out of you. He starts with a slow rhythm, allowing you to adjust to him.

"When my eyes are scarlet, I lose all control. You must stop me immediately if I get too aggressive with you. Promise me you will." Kurapika said to you after noticing the bruise he left on your neck from strangling you too hard during sex.

"(Y/N)? Why didn't you stop me? You promised me you would." asks Kurapika, angrily.
"I'm sorry...it just feels so good." you answer.
"That's no excuse. What if I really hurt you?" asks Kurapika.
You sit up and kiss your husband.
"Forgive me, my love. I promise I won't let it get too far." you answer.
After taking a hot bath together, you both climb into the bed and fall asleep in each other's arms. The window is still open. Warm breezes blow through the window every once in a while.
A month later, Kurapika is holding your hand as you both walk to your favorite cafe. He opens the door for you.
"After you, Mrs. Kurta." he says.
You walk in and immediately notice Melody sitting alone at a table.
"Melody!" you shout as you run to your friend.
Kurapika follows you.
"(Y/N)! Kurapika! How was your honeymoon?" asks Melody.
"It was incredible!" you answer.
Melody looks at your abdomen. She smiles.
"I can hear an extra heartbeat. It's coming from inside of you." says Melody.
You and Kurapika look at each other and smile. You jump on him and he spins you around. Melody is happy for the both of you.
"I told you I would make your dreams come true." Kurapika says to you.
