She sat on the plastic chair with a huff. She was actually exhausted. Mahnoor had been studying all night and then after giving a four hour long exam, she had to go and meet her professors and the faculty members and then come home and pay all the bills that were due since she'll be flying back to India today, for good.
The door bell rang making her groan and crack her fingers before she stood up, a pout still evident on her face, and walked over to open the door.
There stood her friends, with big wide and ready eyes smiles.
" What are you - "
Before she could even complete her question, she was tackled by her friends in a group hug.
" You did not just think that we wouldn't celebrate with you before you leave, did you ! "
Noah almost in accused her making her giggle, she found it hard to hold back her tears because these guys had been her support system for the last two years so now, leaving them and going back to India seemed like a pretty tough task.
They invited themselves in and only now did Mahnoor realise that Lea and Jaden were holding brown paper bags in their hands, most probably takeaways.
" I know all your stuff's gone already and we don't really have much time but let's just hang out once more. "
Cole said in a calm- soothing tone, the voice that was usually makes her feel relaxed.
" Ofcourse ! I'll just. I'll get the paper cups and stuff. "
" I'll leave tommorow at like 6 "
Lea told them, hiccuping over the beer bottle and Jaden too nodded at that and replied,
" Yeah same ! My flight is at 8. "
Noah and Cole would be leaving day after tomorrow since they were both flying to Europe.
" I'm gonna miss you guys so much much ! Especially Mahiiii "
Lea exclaimed, feeling emotional. They laughed when Lea almost sat in Mahnoor's lap and hugged her real tight.
" I'll miss you too lee lee ! "
Mahnoor hugged her back and told her with tears in her eyes. Almost all the guys were sober since Mahnoor would be leaving the apartment in an hour.
" You have to stop crying Lee, we're gonna meet again at the graduation ceremony. "
Cole attempted to console the girls when Noah joined in too,
" Yes guys ! And be for fucking real, we're still gonna meet like once every two months or so. "
They collectively nodded but deep down they all knew, starting now it was all going to be very different. They would be busy in their own lives and would barely be able to meet like once a year but none actually voiced it out.
" Anyways, Mahi, I think you should wrap it all up. We'll take the trash out. You can get your stuff. We'll drive you there. "
Just as she was about to interrupt, Lea shushed her,
" Nope ! You're not gonna speak shit. We'll all go with you. "
She was already feeling overwhelmed and did not find the strength to argue, she simply went in the room to get her stuff.
" Call me once the plane lands. "
Cole told her and kissed the side of her head while she hugged him tightly, trying to stop her tears.
" Bye Mahi ! I'll miss you. "
Noah hugged her and patted her back. After bidding her byes so finally went in with tears in her eyes.

" ........the second gate ! Where are you ? "
Shahzain let out a frustrated groan and almost yelled,
" Bhai kyu nahi aaye !? Mujhe nahi baat karni aapse. "
He rolled his eyes however finnaly sighed in relief when he saw her exiting the door with her luggage.
All her anger fldew away when she saw Shahzain and the twins waiting for her.
" Mahiiiiii "
They yelled togather, getting excited and Mahnoor too leaned down before hugging the kids.
" We missed you Mahi ! "
They yelled again in unison making her coo at them.
" Awweee, I missed you guys too. "
It was only then that she realised that she had left her briefcase at a distance and that Shahzain was now carrying it. She was maaxe aware of this when she head the girls next to them giggling over the hot guy in shades.
Mahnoor looked at him and realised that he did infact look very attractive with a white T shirt and shades.
" Maahi ! Mumma is waiting, let's go. "
Thier pronounciation has improved a great deal, she caressed their hair and moved out of the airport.
" Bhabhi !! I missed you, waha toh aapke bina bilkul man nahi lagta hai. "
Mahnoor hugged Fabia tightly and she smiled at her behaviour, Zeenat mumbled a few prayers at the sight in front of them.
Never had she thought that the broken girl, she had brought home from the hospital would ever smile again, but today, seeing Mahnoor like this, truly made her heart happy.
" Chalo dono, khana khane baitho. "
Zeenat rushed the girls and soon enough, the entire family was sitting on the dining table.
Danish haad taken a day off, especially to come and meet her because even though he was a distant relative of Hassans, she had grown to be extremely close to him as well.
" Graduation ke liye kab jaana hai ? "
Adil asked feeding his four year old daughter, Farah,
" Do mahine baad, ceremony 20th ko hai. "
She said before taking a spoonful of biryani and almost moaning at the taste.
" Khala ! Ye biryani itni umda hai ! Bohot Miss kiya Maine Melbourne me, I love this. "
She looked rather adorable and this made Shahzain laugh.

" Kon log hai ye Mumma !? "
Aayat asked when her mother tied her show laces and Fabia replied,
" Bacha, woh aapki dadi ki friends hai. Jaise aapke dost hai na waise hi. "
She smiled and let her go out to her sister when Mahnoor said to her,
" Aap Fari ko mujhe de dein, mai sambhal lungi. "
Fabia gave her a grateful smile and said thank you.
When Mahnoor finally entered the hall with Fari, she greeted every one with a smile and Zeenat introduced her as her own sister's daughter making her feel very happy.
However, as she was passing by a group of ladies, she heard something that really hurt her.
" Mehmat aur Ahad ko to kha hi gayi thi, ab bechari Zeenat ke pariwar ko nazar lagayegi, sharam bhi nahi hai isko. Bojh hi hai becharo Hassans par ye. "
