Mahnoor smiled and went to her room but everyone knew that she was upset with the latest happening.
" I wish mai ja pati, lekin..... "
Fabia's voice trailed and everyone knew she was guilt ridden just like others.

" Yes Maha api, we will call you. "
Her eyes reflected the happiness that she felt when the twins wished her. In a spur of the moment, their plan was changed. Adil and Shahzain's mamu Jaan passed away last night.
Zeenat was a crying mess and Mahnoor and Fabia consoled her all night, the elders knew that Mahnoor understood the situation and even offered to stay back but they wouldn't let her. It's bad enough that no one would be accompanying her for her graduation.

Shahzain grabbed her bag and urged her to hurry.

Adil hugged her and she gave him a nod. Shahzain was going to drop her off at the airport.
She sat in the car and waved her hand to the kids who gave her their big smiles.
" Udaas mat hona, tum janti ho ammi tumhari graduation ke liye kitni excited thi. "
He gently told her and she seemed to understand that.
" I know. I hope she gets better. Kal raat bhar ro rahi thi. Shahzain seriously, should I stay ? '
She asked feeling worried about her khala but he shook her hand while turning the car.
" Mahnoor, tumne 4 saal waha mehnat ki hai, this graduation is everything that you have dreamt of. I want you to focus on that. Ok ! "
She hummed and he smiled at that.

She rolled her eyes. It was the third time he was repeating the monologue. Shahzain was probably going to start lecturing her again.

She asked and he nodded with a wave.

She was done with her luggage and decided to buy herself some hot chocolate and also some candies for the ride. Her phone rang when she was sitting in lounge.
" Are you there ? "
" Yup. You'll be here around 10 in the night tomorrow ? "
Noah asked her, he was the first one to reach there.
" Hmm, did you see the mail for the afterparty. "
" Yup, Lea has already prepared for everything. She won't take a no for an answer. "
This made Maha chuckle.
" Mom and dad have been fighting like crazy, she doesn't want him to smoke and he is all ' you can't dictate me Lauren '. This is so fucking annoying I tell you. "
She let out a smile, he was exhausted with all of this.
" Why aren't you staying with them ? I thought you'll be much more comfortable. "
Before he could answer her, she heard shrill voices in the background, it was easy to make out it was his parents fighting. She found it hilarious how the two seem to be at each other's throats all the time and yet somehow claimed to be in love.
" Noah, I'll leave now. I have to board the plane. "

The three of them hugged each other. They were in the campus cafe, waiting for their snacks.
" Never thought I'd say this, but I'll miss college. "
Noah said making the girls smile.
" I know, I have some of my most cherished memories here. "
As thier order arrived, they sat in silence. Soaking it in that their college was finally over and that day after tomorrow they'd be graduating.
" Oh by the way, Cole is going to start his internship next month. "
" No ! "
Mahnoor put her cup on the table with a thud. Cole had been able to secure a spot at the Lexus Law firm as an intern.
" He worked his ass off, he deserves it. "
Noah commented. They would all be doing internships first. However, Mahnoor had something else, in her mind as her priorities stood with the promise she gave to herself.
" Hey, let's go meet professor Dahmar and louis. "
One of their classmate approached them, the three shared a look before nodding their heads.
" Oh by the way Dania poochh rahi thi ki tum wapas kab aaogi. Usne tumhare liye ek graduation gift banaya hai. "
" Awww. Bhabhi ! I miss my girlies. But mai toh bas next week wapas hi aa rahi hun. "
She was actually missing all of them.
" You know Rasha called me sometime back, she is enjoying her honeymoon in Dubai. "
" Shaadi ke baad toh bas enjoyment hi chal raha hai usko life mein. Mai keh rahi hun Maha ab tum bhi karlo shaadi. "
Mahnoor knew Fabia was just teasing her but the face that popped up her mind hearing the word ' marriage ' had her panicking. Maha shook her head and rolled her eyes as a reply.
" You want something ? Main kuchh lekar aau ? "
Before Fabia could reply, they heard Fari crying.
" Bhabhi, aap jake Fari ko dekho. Mai kal baat karti hun. "

Her phone rang again making her groan.
" Uff, kyaa hai Safia ? "
Shahzain frowned hearing her, why was she yelling at him early in the morning, that too a day before her graduation ceremony.
" Mai tumhe Safia lagta hun ! "
Her eyes went wide hearing the familiar voice ring in her ears. She put the phone on the speaker to look at the caller ID and realised it was indeed Shahzain.
" Shahzain ! "
She yelled and he took the phone away from his ears.
" Dheere bolo ladki ! "
She looked at the caller ID for the second time, and then the third and then the fourth.
" Abhi toh waha raat ho rahi hogi. Mujhe phone kyu kiya ? "
" Gate kholo. X
" Kya ! "
" Room ka darwaza kholo Mahnoor ! "
She couldn't comprehend what he was saying but opened the door nonetheless only to see him standing where with a smile on his face.
